A/N: This is just a little drabble. I don't even know. I hope you like it. Please don't forget to review.

Rose was the type of girl whose heart was practically falling off her sleeve.

She laughed too loudly and her smiles always traveled to her eyes. But, her heart was also easily broken and she would suddenly burst into tears on any given occasion. But what could you expect for someone who wore their heart so blatantly on their sleeve? With nothing to protect it, it was bound to get broken at some point.

Scorpius was the type of boy who kept his troubles and worries and feelings locked up in the deepest depths of his heart.

He wasn't one to talk much about himself. No. He was a listener. He was good at keeping secrets, especially his own. He didn't smile often, but when he did, he lit up like a firework. When his tightly locked safe of secrets reached it's capacity though, it exploded, and what could you expect for someone who kept so much bottled up inside? With no one to vent to and let some of the pressure out he was bound to fall apart at some point.

Together, the two were like fire and ice: he melted and she cooled down.

There was something about Rose's warm, big, chocolate brown eyes that caused the icy shell, which Scorpius had spent years building up around his heart, to melt. When she laced her warm fingers through his, it was as if someone had set fire to the wall encircling his heart. And suddenly, he felt as if he could tell her anything and everything. He could, with ease, give adorable, one-dimpled grins and let out bubbling laughs that warmed the room.

There was something about her that turned his body temperature up and made his heart feel warm. Rose Weasley made Scorpius Malfoy melt and there really wasn't any other way to put it.

There was something about Scorpius's stormy, gray eyes that made Rose slow down. They weren't cold, just troubled. Something about him made her feel safe. Like she could burst into tears or say something stupid, and he wouldn't judge or criticize her. And when his strong, refreshingly cool, arms wrapped her in a hug...it made her feel like he had pulled her heart right off her sleeve, placed it gently in a padded, hex-proof box and strapped it to his chest. He would make sure she would never get hurt again.

Something about Scorpius Malfoy made Rose a little more temperate. Maybe Rose just had a little too much fire in her heart. It was only a matter of time before she was going to burn herself out. Mr. Malfoy cooled her down; he stopped her from overheating.

It wasn't something they could control, much to Ron and Draco's dismay. By the time their fathers had hear of their romance Scorpius already had Rose's heart, locked up safe and sound, and Rose had Scorpius thawed out. He was sure the ice would freeze over again if he didn't have her pulled tightly to his side.

There was something about the two of them that clicked. And once they had put the puzzles pieces together, there wasn't any going back
