"I'm tired, Kurt."
"I know, Blaine. That's about the fiftieth time you've mentioned it."
Kurt sighed in exasperation. He was crazy about boyfriend, he really was, but sometimes that boy could really get on his nerves.
"We should go get coffee."
"We literally justgot coffee, Blaine."
"Oh yeah. Can we get some more coffee then?"
"Blaine, you've already had three coffees today. Don't you think that you've subjected yourself to enough caffeine for one day?"
"But the coffee isn't working. I'm still sleepy."
"I know. Why don't you just give up on the coffee, since it's clearly not doing anything for you?"
"I just want to wake up. I have to, but I just want to sleep. My eyes are so sore. I want to close them."
Blaine rested his head against Kurt's chest. It felt nice there. It was warm, comfortable and it felt like home.
"Why don't you just go to sleep, Blaine?"
"No, I can't. I'm meant to be hanging out with you. I promised."
However, despite his weak protests, Blaine's eyelids drooped shut and he buried his head deeper into Kurt's torso, breathing in what was essentiallyKurt.
"Hey. Shh. It's okay, Blaine. Get some sleep. I'll stay right here. I'll even sing to you."
"You won't leave?"
"Not if you don't want me to."
"I don't. Your chest is much too comfortable."
Blaine smiled wearily and let his head fall down onto Kurt's lap. It was a place where he felt secure and loved. It was a place he would want to stay forever if Kurt let him.
Kurt smiled down at the sleeping boy and began singing to him softly, not wanting to wake him, but at the same time wanting to comfort him even as he slept.
"Kiss me too fiercely
Hold me too tight
I need help believing
You're with me tonight
My wildest dreamings
Could not foresee
Lying beside you
With you wanting me
Just for this moment
As long as you're mine
I've lost all resistance
And crossed some borderline
And if it turns out
It's over too fast
I'll make every last moment last
As long as you're mine
Maybe I'm brainless
Maybe I'm wise
But you've got me seeing
Through different eyes
Somehow I've fallen
Under your spell
And somehow I'm feeling
It's up that I fell
Every moment
As long as you're mine
I'll wake up my body
And make up for lost time
Say there's no future
For us as a pair
And though I may know
I don't care
Just for this moment
As long as you're mine
Come be how you want to
And see how bright we shine
Borrow the moonlight
Until it is through
And know I'll be here
Holding you
Aslongasyou'remine"
Kurt reached out his hand and ran it through Blaine's exquisite curls which were, for once, free of gel. Blaine sighed contentedly and snuggled deeper into Kurt's lap.
He pressed a tender kiss to the top of the slumbering boy's head, before letting his own head drop down on to the bed.
"…love you, Kurt."
"Mmm…I love you too."
