Stella's Song
He had to admit, the way she played her guitar gave his playing a run for his money. Her beauty made him stop longing to look at his own reflection. Then it all dawned on him, Stella Yamada was the one person who could break him. Melt the hard icy heart into slush, with a simple meeting of their eyes.
He would not let her have that hold over him; no one should have that hold on him.
Realisation hit; she was in the opposing band. The very band he swore to hate since it's creation.
No one would ever know about the album he had hidden in his stack of CDs, or the poster under his bed.
Stella Yamada would forever be his hidden secret.
His forbidden secret.
They were like Romeo and Juliet... Minus the morbid death.
But they could never be. It was a rule, Mesa High law.
Although he would always feel inside break as he heard those words from that angelic voice, "What do you want Beech?"
He had to wonder for a moment, while pretending to hate the amazing music Lemonade Mouth was playing, at what point did it become okay for Scott Pickett of all people to join their side?
What would happen if he converted? Would it all end happily ever after with the wonderful Yamada happily dancing and giggling in his arms? Or would it end up like Scott and Mo? Her in the arms of another man?
He never wanted to know, after all, baring your soul and losing the one you love has got to be more painful than watching her fall in love with another guy from a distance.
So he found himself gazing at her, through the array of ridiculous costumes the 'Lemon Heads' - as they called themselves - wore.
Hoping that his fairytale might piece together, that true love conquers all.
Watching her beautifully playing her guitar, bouncing around the stage, hoping to someday hold her close.
He realised she asked him a question, so with an upturned nose, and a scowl on his face, Ray Beech replied, "Just watching the competition, we're going to take you down."
"Bring it on."
Nothing further was spoke, the destined couple parted, Stella heading backstage, Ray headed home to do some listening to of his favourite song from the Lemonade Mouth album.
It had a name, just like all of their songs did, but he knew it simply as 'Stella's Song.'
