A/N: Fic of the Month! Not much to say other than please vote in the poll if you haven't.
Also if you're a fan of both My Hero Academia and Everlasting Imagination I recommend you check my story My Little Hero! She's a minor recurring character in the fic. Though the story downplays her writing and plays up her nerdiness She only appears in three chapters, and in one of those she doesn't speak. I just wanted to let everyone know! Enjoy the chapter!
Chapter 11: Blocked
Everlasting was writing her next novel. A while ago she had decided to write a Pegasus that decided to time travel. But she was having trouble… a lot of trouble… a lot, a lot of trouble.
So she decided to go to Sugar Cube Corner.
"Oh hello Evy, how are things." Said Mrs. Cake.
"Good… good…" said Everlasting, "So I'd like some edible cookie dough."
"Oh of course… what flavor." Said Mrs. Cake.
"Bubblegum." Said Everlasting.
Everypony froze when she said.
"What?" asked Mrs. Cake.
"Bubblegum Edible Cookie Dough." Said Everlasting.
"I know what you said… it's just…" said Mrs. Cake.
"I know… I only eat it when I'm stressed." Said Everlasting, "Bad case of writer's block."
"So…" said Mrs. Cake.
"Yes, I'd like gum all in this time." Said Everlasting, "Pink only…"
"Oh dear." Said Mrs. Cake.
"I'm nearing my nearest deadline…" muttered Everlasting.
"Oh…" said Mrs. Cake, "I'm sure inspiration will hit you soon!"
"Yeah… maybe…" muttered Everlasting, "What do you think about time travel?"
"Uh…" said Mrs. Cake.
"Never mind…" said Everlasting, "I should be asking a Pegasus…"
"Okay…" said Mrs. Cake.
"Yes a Pegasus… that is the main character of my story after all." Said Everlasting.
"Here's your cookie dough." Said Mrs. Cake.
"Thanks!" "said Everlasting.
She went outside and ate her cookie dough.
Fluttershy walked over noticing the state that Everlasting was in.
"Hello Evy, how are you feeling?" asked Fluttershy.
"What do you think Time travel should work." Said Everlasting.
"What?" asked Fluttershy, "Wait, is this about your new novel?"
"Yeah." Said Everlasting eating a bite of cookie dough.
"Is that…" said Fluttershy.
"Bubblegum cookie dough… yeah…" said Everlasting.
"Can't you get your mind off your novel?" asked Fluttershy.
"Can't… I'm behind." Said Everlasting, "So about that time travel…"
"Oh…" said Fluttershy unsure how to respond.
"Yeah… so time travel." Said Everlasting not noticing she was repeating herself.
"Oh… um… I have to do something." Said Fluttershy.
"Okay… I'll find another Pegasus for help." Said Everlasting.
Fluttershy nodded and then left to find somepony who could help better than she could.
She saw Twilight and Spike.
"Fluttershy is something wrong?" asked Twilight.
"Yes…" whispered Fluttershy, "Evy has writer's block."
"She has writer's block! Not again!" yelled a nearby pony running away.
"Did something happen?" asked Twilight.
"Well you weren't here when she got writer's block before." Sighed Fluttershy.
"Oh… okay" said Twilight.
"She's got really bad writer's block a couple times when moving her." Said Carrot Top, "She went a little crazy."
"What's a little crazy?" asked Twilight.
"Uh…" said both Carrot Top and Fluttershy at the same time.
(Flashback)
"Show me the path of reincarnation! I sell my soul to you my lord!" said Everlasting at a caldron.
This was being done in the middle of Ponyville with everypony staring at her.
(Cut to Different Flashback)
"Teach me earth pony ways!" yelled Everlasting shaking Lily, "TEACH ME EARTH PONY WAYS!"
"Help me!" cried Lily.
(End of Flashbacks)
"You know what, that doesn't matter." Said Carrot Top, "But the point is we have to find her, calm her down and make sure she stops over thinking and puts the energy she has right now to good use."
"Why does it sound like you just want her to clean her house?" asked Spike.
"Look that's not important." Said Carrot Top.
"We really should help her." Said Fluttershy.
"Because I've got a bad feeling what she might do this time…" said Carrot Top, "And I got the feeling it will be worse than trying to sell her soul for the secret of reincarnation."
"What?" asked both Spike and Twilight.
"You don't want to know." Said Carrot Top.
Meanwhile with Derpy she was humming a song.
"Hey! Derpy I need to ask you something!" said everlasting.
"What?" asked Derpy.
"What do you know about time travel?" asked Everlasting.
Derpy froze.
"Nothing! I know nothing!" said Derpy who seemed to be sweating, "I know nothing about time travel at all! And I haven't gone through time ever!"
Everlasting looked at her "Okay! I believe you!" said Everlasting.
Derpy breathed a sigh of relief that her friend bought it.
Don't ask why…
"So I'm going to check with Rainbow Dash if she knows everything!" said Everlasting.
"Okay!" said Derpy.
Everlasting left…
"Wait… why would she ask Rainbow Dash about time travel?" asked Derpy, "She never traveled through time."
That was when it struck her.
"Not again!" said Derpy.
She flew around trying to find Carrot Top.
Thankfully she found with Twilight, Spike and Fluttershy.
"Evy's got writer's block again!" said Derpy.
"We already know." Said Carrot Top.
"She was asking me about time travel." Said Derpy becoming rather suspicious, "Which I know nothing about, completely honest!"
"Wait… do you know about time travel?" asked Spike
"No! Of course not!" said Derpy.
"Let's worry about this another time." Said Twilight.
Derpy breathed a sigh of relief when Twilight said that.
"She said she going to ask Rainbow Dash." Said Derpy.
"What's her new book about?" asked Spike.
"It's about a Pegasus that suddenly gains the power to travel through time by going fast." Said Carrot Top.
"Wait… you don't think she'll make Rainbow Dash go so fast she'll learn how to time travel?" asked Derpy.
The 3 other ponies and dragon looked at each other.
"That sounds exactly what she'll do." Sighed Carrot Top.
Meanwhile Rainbow Dash was taking a nap on a cloud when suddenly she was hit by a walnut.
"Wake up!" yelled Everlasting who was magically tossing walnuts at her.
"Ow! Seriously Evy!" said Rainbow Dahs, "And where did you even get walnuts?"
Evy pointed to a nearby walnut tree.
"Oh… that makes sense." Said Rainbow Dash .
"I need to know about time travel!" said Everlasting.
"What?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"I want you to tell me all about time travel!" said Everlasting.
Rainbow Dash blinked and really looked at Everlasting.
"are you feeling okay?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"I'm fine! Completely fine!" said Everlasting.
"Because you don't look like it!" said Rainbow Dash.
"Can you go really fast?" asked Everlasting, "Like so fast you breach the walls of time!"
"What?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"Show me the secrets of time travel!" yelled Everlasting.
"Oh look at the time! I have to go somewhere!" said Rainbow Dash.
She began to fly away.
"Come back here or break the walls of time!" yelled Everlasting.
She chased down Rainbow Dash as fast she could.
"How are you chasing me!" yelled Rainbow Dash.
"Determination!" yelled Everlasting.
"Okay!" said Rainbow Dash.
"Rainbow Dash!" yelled Derpy catching up to her.
"Hey! Evy's gone crazy!" yelled Rainbow Dash.
"She's got writer's block!" said Derpy.
"Again? Is this like the "Show me your Earth Pony secrets?" thing?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"It is." Confirmed Derpy.
"Oh come on!" said Rainbow Dash.
"Carrot Top and Twilight have a plan!" said Derpy.
"They better!" said Rainbow Dash.
"Follow me!" said Derpy.
"Derpy! You better be sharing the secret of time travel!" yelled Everlasting.
Both of them counited flying to the plan.
That was when Everlasting got to the point.
"Now!" yelled Carrot Top.
Twilight dropped a net on her.
"Get me out of this!" yelled Everlasting, "Get me out of this!"
Fluttershy began to comfort her.
"It's okay! It's okay! We know you have writer's block, but you should know by now. This isn't the way." Said Fluttershy.
Everlasting looked at Fluttershy then the dam broke and she started to cry.
"I have to write a new book this year! But nothing seems to work! I've tried everything but the ideas won't come! I'm so behind schedule! And… and… and… Time travel is really hard to write about!" she cried.
"It's okay, it's okay." Said Carrot Top.
"It's your editor again! Isn't it?" asked Carrot Top.
Everlasting nodded.
"I told them after Flora's Flowers to let you work at your own pace." Said Carrot Top, "Honestly... everypony knows that your weakest story for good reason, you just came up with the idea in like a few minutes. It's still good but it's nowhere near as good as Soul of a Dragon."
"Wait… what about her writer's block with Soul of Dragon." Said Spike.
Well I don't have much writer's block… just the trying to figure out how the reincarnation cycle should work and he would remember his past life." Said Everlasting.
"Ah! Okay." Said Spike.
"Take the next few days off." Said Twilight, "Then we'll help you deal with your editor."
"Thanks.. I know creativity takes time." Sighed Everlasting, "And I should wait until inspiration hits."
"That's the spirit." Said Derpy.
"Come on! Let's go clean your house!" said Carrot Top as Twilight took off the net.
"Seriously!" said Everlasting, "I want to go relax and read some manga."
"Nope! We're going to clean your house!" said Carrot Top.
"What's that over there!" yelled Everlasting.
"There's nothing there." Said Carrot Top.
Everlasting sighed.
"Fine! We'll clean my house! But don't bother me tomorrow." Said Everlasting, "I need to unwind!"
"Wait! You're into manga?" asked Spike as they left.
"Yeah… you didn't know." Said Everlasting.
"I just didn't know." Said Spike surprised.
"I learned how to use the katana and I have one named Yuki-Chan. If that doesn't scream "manga fan" I don't know what does." Said Everlasting.
"Good point." Said Spike with a shrug.
"Come on! I'll help you guys clean up!" said Derpy.
Rainbow Dahs and Fluttershy both breathed a sigh of relief.
"So you ever going to tell her?" asked Rainbow Dash.
Fluttershy didn't answer.
A few days later they cleared some stuff with her editor and made sure he didn't put too much pressure on her any more. After all it was her third case of writer's block since moving to Ponyville… and it wasn't a good thing.
And hopefully, she wouldn't have a case like that again. Now she realized that she had to let creativity and inspiration come to her.
