Lily sighed happily as she looked out the window. She and Severus had just moved into their new home, and things looked absolutely spectacular. Lily unconsciously rubbed her swollen belly. She had just over two months left until their baby arrived. Just enough time to get the house ready, thought Lily. She turned around to face the room she sat in.

The walls were a pale green with white trim. A crib sat in the far corner by the window seat, a rocking chair just to the left of it.

"And there he is, the one thing missing." Said Lily as her eyes alit on Severus. He smiled at his wife. Lily couldn't help but grin. He had grown so much from the boy she knew in school. But he hadn't changed.

"What?" said Lily. Severus just laughed,

"You have that look on your face."

"What look?"

"That thinking look that always has a story behind it." Said Severus. He crossed the room and wrapped his arms around Lily's not-inconsiderable waist. Lily chuckled,

"I'm sure I have no idea what you're talking about." Severus kissed her.

"I was just thinking about how much you've grown up since school." She confessed.

"You mean how much I've changed."

"No, how much you matured. You haven't changed. You're not the changing type."

"Is that good or bad?"

"Good. I think it's pretty good." Said Lily. She cuddled into Severus's arms and sighed contentedly. They stayed there for a while just talking. No heavy conversation, just the everyday conversing between people who already know each other inside out. As Lily argued her point about an article in Potions Weekly, she absently rubbed her belly.

"What is it?" asked Severus.

"What?" she said. Severus nodded at her hand.

"This? Oh, she's just kicking around."

"May I?" he asked.

"Severus. I'm going to give birth to your daughter in two months. There's no need for you to ask." Said Lily. Severus gently laid his hands on Lily's belly. He smiled as his daughter kicked at his hands. Lily winced at a particularly hard kick. When Severus looked at her, she waved her hand and said,

"It's nothing. She just gets a little too rambunctious sometimes." Severus frowned. He leaned over until he was at eye level with Lily's belly. He said in his no-nonsense tone,

"Now Natalie. You know I love you. And you know that I love feeling you move around. But sometimes when you're too strong, you hurt Mummy. So be a little gentler, will you?" A soft kick out at his right hand provided enough answer. He kissed the spot and whispered,

"I love you too." Lily smiled down at him. He straightened up and ran a finger along her jaw as he said,

"And if you don't know what I'm going to say…"

"I love you too Sev." Laughed Lily.
