"Uhm. Marceline? What are you doing?"

"I'm creepin'— stalkin' my prey."

"...Why?"

The raven shrugged. Bubblegum stared at her for a moment, a tad suspicious at the woman crawling towards her form— in a sea of strewn equations pasted on paper and note cards— on the bed. Marceline grinned widely, fangs glinting in the lamp light, on hands and knees. After a moment of silence, she pulled her face into a wolf pout— waiting.

Bubblegum raised an eyebrow, not really understanding what the queen wanted. And then a light seemed to switch in her mind, and she got it. The pink girl smiled softly, and held her arms out. Paper crinkled beneath Marceline as she snuggled closer into Bubblegum, burying her face in the younger girl's neck.

"Did you know I love you?" Bubblegum murmured, fingers playing with the soft, inky locks, trailing down Marceline's back. Marceline smiled a little against her skin. "I had no clue, Bons. But I love you, too." and she parted her lips and bit down on the yielding pink skin of her throat.

Tiny circles of pale pink adorned the spots where Marceline's fangs had pierced the skin.

Bubblegum froze slightly, biting her lip as her cheeks colored deep lavender. "M-Marceline?"

"Hmm?"

"What are you doing?"

A slight whine. "You just smell so delicious, babe. I can't deny my righteously awesome nature, so I decided to take a nibble."

The younger girl snorted, rolling her eyes. "Why not nibble on the strawberries on the night stand, then? Or on someone else's pretty pink face."

"I like tasting you, for one. And because— I'm your vampire. And if you tell anyone I just said that, I'll deny it up and down and drain you dry, Bonnie." Of course the threat was empty, but Marceline liked to think she could still be menacing the younger monarch. Bubblegum looked down at the girl in her arms, and couldn't help but grin.
