A few months later, Hinata had gone home for the day. She had been feeling sick all morning. However she was unable to pinpoint exactly what was going on. Over the past week, she had lost a lot of weight, that much was certain. Under normal circumstances, either Sakura or Kiba would be there to fix her up. But they both had their hands full lately. Every night, fatigued and dying Konoha residents made their way back to the village. But no one considered the fact that it was taking a toll on the medical personnel. No one seemed to care either, as long as their wounds were tended to. Today, Kiba was probably mixing up medicine, whereas Sakura would probably try to find ways to lessen their injuries, or to help them heal completely. The new orange outfits they had received recently were so hideous, even Hinata was glad to get out of them for at least a while.

Without realizing, she had slipped and fell. I am probably dizzier than I thought she commented to herself. Her kitchen was tiny, and there was not much space to put pans, ladles and cutlery. But it was cozy. She smiled at the note that Kakashi had sent her a few weeks ago 'donuts' she muttered out loud. 'How does he even come up with that stuff?'. In the meanwhile she had gotten up and fixed herself a book from one of the shelves. This could help identify what kind of virus she was currently dealing with. On her right arm, something that resembled a bruise was starting to form. After a few minutes she got up, and decided it was time to take a shower instead. It had been a while since she had the chance to take a 30 minute uninterrupted shower. Or so she thought. After about ten minutes, she heard the door open and something fall down with a loud thud.

Kakashi hadn't been home in over three weeks, so she didn't think it was worth getting her hopes up for. But secretly, just a little, she hoped. For a moment, she closed her eyes and felt how the warm water was slowly starting to make her feel drowsy and calmer. This was nothing like the five minute showers she had to take in the morning, just before running off to work. It felt like it had been years.

After the shower, she took the time to lotion her body and to apply scented oils, all in the hopes of feeling better soon. And in a way, she did. The bruise on her arm appeared smaller, and it didn't hurt as much when she tried to poke at it a little. She heard the person who had entered her house, leave again. The shower had made her sort of hungry, so she made her way to the kitchen again, after getting dressed. The fridge now held some sort of chicken soup, and she gratefully heated it up. A while later, her door opened again and someone placed their warm hands over her eyes, while she was still eating. 'Missed me?' a dark voice said, trying to sound somewhat seductive. 'You don't show up for three weeks, without telling me and now I'm supposed to just get up in your arms?' She asked, slightly hoping it would make him feel somewhat guilty over how neglected she had been feeling. 'You never left my thoughts' he said, trying to sound apologetic. 'Yeah if only I had a letter to prove it' she retorted, smiling now.

'You have no trouble staying mad at me.. but I come bearing gifts this time?' he said. That was kinda new, he rarely brought her things she could use. Usually it was just stuff she could have bought herself, but this.. 'You got me medicinal herbs?' she asked, genuinely surprised. He softly nuzzled her neck as he wrapped his arms around her. 'I know what the lady likes' he said with a smirk. 'That's not all she likes though' Hinata replied, smiling seductively as he looked up at her.
