Karen McCormick was back at home in her South Park home after her guardian angel, better known as the superhero Mysterion, had saved her and the rest of the foster kids by giving the foster parents a beer, causing them to get arrested after hurting each other somehow.

"I'm so glad that home! Greenly was a horrible nightmare!" Karen said.

"(It's okay now, Karen.)" said Kenny from behind his parka.

"I can't believe I have a guardian angel now. He is so mysterious." Karen said with a huge smile.

"(He is, isn't he?)" Kenny said with a cheerful tone.

"Mhm. I'm gonna go to bed now, Kenny." smiled Karen. "Night."

Kenny waved goodnight to Karen as she went towards her bedroom when Mysterion's words ran through her mind once more. "You are not alone. No matter where you go, no matter what you do, I will always be here. Understand?"

"I do understand. I wish I knew what your name was though..." Karen said as she entered her bedroom and looked out her window to see a star shining brightly. She closed her eyes and held her hands together like she was praying. "Wishing star, I wish I could know who exactly my guardian angel was so that I know how truly protected I am." she wished.

"Karen." said a voice.

Karen opened her eyes to see that Mysterion had once again returned to her and stood in her window. He leapt into her bedroom and she instantly hugged him.

"Thank you so much for saving me and my brothers from that horrible place! You truly are an angel." smiled Karen as she kept hugging him.

Mysterion hugged her back. "Like I said to you a few nights ago, no matter what happens, I will be here."

"Guardian angel, what is your name?" she asked.

"I am Mysterion, protector of the innocent and your guardian angel as you have put it." Mysterion said with a small smile to her.

"Mysterion." she smiled as she repeated his name back to him. "But why do you wear a mask and hood for?"

"No one can know who I truly am. I am a mysterious guardian angel."

"I wish I knew who you truly were." she said with a sad sigh.

"I'm sorry, Karen, but you can't know who I am, at least not yet. I will tell you one day soon, when I think you'll be ready." he said with a voice of concern before he turned around. "I must go now, Karen. But, before I go, can you hold on this for me for a bit? I can't seem to carry it right now." said Mysterion as he handed over a wrapped package to Karen. "Good bye, Karen, and please take excellent care of that." he said as he once again disappeared.

Karen blinked her eyes a few times just to make sure that he had actually left. She then looked down in her hands to see a foil wrapped package. She undid the foil to see that it held a pair of red gloves, about her size and obviously hand me downs. She put on the two gloves and looked at the stars shining brightly above.

"Thank you for being Mysterion and my guardian angel, Kenny." she said as she knew that these gloves had once been his at her age.
