Warm
Absolutely, comfortably, deliciously warm.
He had never been warm before. Not like this. Oh, there had been the odd time he considered himself comfortable enough. But this. . . this was beyond him. He didn't want to move he wanted to lavish and enjoy. The sheets even felt wonderful and fresh. He made himself still as he could be.
If this is a dream or torture I will enjoy it for as long as I can.
He new from being taught at an early age that the less a captor knew about your state of alertness the less they were willing to torture you. Meaning it was no fun if you didn't react.
Whichever being that feigns control over my existence I ask that you take me now.
He stilled himself even more and waited for a sign that his plea had been hear.
Something cold and smooth glided over his leg. Right death by snake it is to be then. The being retraced it's path over his leg again. He involuntarily tensed; as much as he appreciated a snakes stealth, power and grace he preferred to do so at a considerable distance from said snake or any snake for that matter all together.
It stilled.
Any moment now it was going to strike.
Any moment now.
Soon.
Why is it taking so long?
"Erik, ange? Are you awake?"
What?
She slipped her naked body closer to his kissing his cheek and laying her head on his chest her gossamer curls slithering this way and that over his arm and shoulder.
Now the snake has become an hallucination. Bravo my mind has truly vacated me.
Wait.
When did I become naked?
The previous night came rushing back in a torrent of images. A heated song. An argument. A kiss. . .
"Ange?"
He turned his head and looked at her. Instead of a snakes deadly stare he was greeted with a brilliant smile and sparkling blue eyes.
"Oui, ma belle." he whispered as she bent down and kissed him. He snaked his arm around her middle and she slithered over top of him.
"Christine, Je t'aime." He whispered getting lost in the beauty of her eyes.
"Je t'aime mon ange." she whispered back. "Breakfast is ready."
"I find I am too warm to want to get up right now."
Christine purred, "It can wait. Being warm is very important."
