Rachel awoke to the sound of her baby daughter Emma's wailing.

She felt someone stir next to her. She looked over as Ross rolled over and looked at her sleepily.

She yawned. "I got this one… go back to sleep." She smiled sleepily and kissed his temple.

She walked across the hall and into their daughter's room, where Emma was screaming her head off.

"Oh, Emma…"

She picked her baby up out of her crib and rocked her.

"Shhh… it's okay, baby."

She looked at the clock in Emma's room.

3:46 A.M.

Right on schedule.

Emma's crying was dying down from a wail to an almost silent cry.

"Dada…" The little girl said. "Emma want Dada."

Rachel sighed. "Alright."

She carried her daughter into hers and Ross' bedroom. She walked over and turned on her bedside lamp.

"Ross, honey?"

Ross moaned and rolled over. "Yeah?"

Rachel nodded to the child in her arms. "Somebody wants her daddy."

Ross smiled and sat up. He held his arms out. "Come to Daddy."

Rachel handed their daughter to Ross, who kissed her forehead.

"Hey there, princess." He rocked the baby in his arms.

"Dada."

Rachel sat on the foot of their bed and watched Ross with their daughter. Emma was giggling.

Rachel had always thought he'd been a great father, but she'd never actually taken the time to focus. He knew what made Emma laugh and smile. He knew where she was ticklish. He knew her favorite TV shows… everything.

She gazed on in admiration as Emma fell asleep in Ross's arms. He took her back in the other room and put her down.

When he walked back into the room, Rachel grinned at him and laughed. He laughed at her.

"What?" he laughed.

He sat down next to her and she wrapped her arms around his waist.

"You're so good with her." She kissed his soft lips.

"You're good with her too, Rach." Her big blue eyes sparkled.

"But you're just… amazing with her."

He laughed. "Well, I've done this once before you know."

"Well, it's very cute… you know, seeing you with our daughter."

Ross sat her down on his lap on the bed and kissed her.

"You're amazing, Green."

"You're not so bad yourself, Geller."

And she kissed him again… but it was soft and sweet… the kind of kiss Rachel liked best.

A few hours later…

Rachel woke up to find the side of the bed next to her empty.

She looked at the clock.

8:30.

Ross had let her sleep in.

She got out of bed, put on her robe and went out into the living room.

Ross and Emma were at the counter and when Ross saw Rachel, Ross smiled and tapped Emma's shoulder.

Emma turned to her mother and grinned.

"SUPWIZE!" The little girl shouted, throwing her arms up.

Rachel laughed and saw that Ross had set out a plate of pancakes and a champagne glass of orange juice and a lily in a skinny little vase next to it.

"Oh my God! You guys did this for me?" She kissed Ross's cheek and then that of Emma's.

"Emma picked out the lily." Ross smiled.

"Fwower!" The little girl said. Rachel laughed and kissed the top of her head.

"Well, thank you! I love you guys." Rachel dug into her pancakes. She'd always loved the way Ross made him.

She'd been absolutely ecstatic since she'd gotten off that plane to Paris, but never this happy. She loved Ross, that's for sure. He was THE best possible thing that ever happened to her… you know, other than Emma.

They were a family, and that was all she really needed.

TA-DA! My cheesy one-shot! I had this picture in my head, so I wrote it down. I know that it's short, but please please PLEASE review! Thanks so much!
