Captain Jack Sparrow clutched at the bars of his cell. He couldn't believe that he was locked up again in London. He didn't even know why he was locked up this time.

"This is madness!" he yelled through the bars at the guard. "I didn't do anything, ya hear me? I'm innocent!" He tried shaking the bars to get out, but that didn't help whatsoever.

"Aren't we all," a low voice filled with sarcasm sounded from behind him.

Jack whipped around, a hand falling to his belt where his pistol was usually kept. Bugger, he thought when he didn't feel his pistol. I forgot they took it… He stared at the dark form in the corner, squinting to try and make out who—or what—was in his cell with him. "Who're you?" he asked warily. He didn't trust dark strangers anymore.

Jack watched as the shape slowly started to get up. To his surprise, instead of the man getting to his two feet, Jack saw the…thing go on all four legs. His eyes widened when he saw the gleaming emerald eyes glaring at him, and he backed up against the bars of the cell. The eyes weren't human

The creature came towards the Pirate Captain, and Jack finally saw what it was: it was a massive, dark brown lion with a jet black mane, and a scar over his left eye. To Jack's surprise, though, both eyes were clear and free from blindness. The lion sneered at the pirate, showing every single one of his sharp, white teeth.

"My name is King Scar," the lion growled, prowling in front of the pirate. He stopped just in front of Jack, and sat down. Jack was astonished to see that the lion, when sitting up straight, nearly reached the bottom of his chin.

"You…you're a lion," Jack said stupidly. He didn't know what else to say.

"Very astute," Scar remarked dryly.

"You…talk." Jack was stunned. He felt as though, had he been someone else—like Elizabeth Swan—he might've been freaking out.

"Yes, I do. Tell something I don't know," Scar snapped, his green eyes staring straight at the pirate.

"Well, erm, uh, well, uh, uh, hum, uh," Jack stuttered.

"Out with it, man!" Scar snarled, his mane bristling with annoyance.

"Uh… erm… if you don't mind me asking, why the hell are you here?" Jack had gotten over his initial shock. After all, he had been eaten by the kraken, been attacked by mermaids, and dealt with crazy women. This wasn't as shocking as it should've been.

"I killed my brother and my nephew banished me from the pride," Scar growled, getting to his paws and pacing again, lashing his tail in anger. "He thought he killed me when he threw me off of Pride Rock; he was wrong." Scar's eyes filled with hatred, and he let out an earsplitting roar.

Jack winced as the roar echoed around the jail. After clearing out his ears and moving his jaw up and down a few times, he nodded slowly. "Well, would you like to get revenge on your nephew?" Jack asked, his dark brown eyes lighting up with an idea.

Scar paused, one paw in the air as he slowly turned his head to look at the pirate. "I'm listening," he murmured, his own eyes lighting up menacingly. Jack grinned, and motioned for Scar to come closer.

(To be continued...?)
