One Second in Slow Motion

A/N: Welcome, welcome! I'm so glad I got such good reviews from people on my other story, even from a Kaname seme fan. But this little oneshot has nothing to do with that story. I got this idea when I was brushing my teeth and thought of Hatsune Miku's song 'one second in slow motion' and thought "Omigawds! This would be perfect for Kaname and Zero!" So here this story came to life...just for you guys :3.

Disclaimer: I don't own Vampire Knight...the amount yaoi things that would be in there if I did own it X3.

We started dating about two weeks ago but we have not done anything. Just holding hands, hug, and the occasional kiss on the cheek but never an actual kiss. Yuki has also approved of our relationship and even stalked us when we were alone, little sisters what can you do about them? All in all it was a cotton candy cloud fluff relationship, not that I minded though.

Zero sat beside me on my bed, he agreed to sleep over. I was leaning on his shoulder as he did some history homework. He stopped writing and fixed my body towards him so we were face to face.

"Kaname?" He said with a stern face.

"Yes?" I replied with tinge of worry in my voice.

"Can I...kiss you? Like really kiss you?" He blushed slightly. I looked down at the powder white sheets to hide my flustered appearance but nodded.

"Y-you may." I replied. I saw a glimpse of his smiling face, then he moved my chin up so our faces were leveled. He licked his lips and drew nearer to me, I did the same. We grew closer and closer until our lips touched, the contact was beyond exciting that I could barely keep my heart under control.

Just the feel of his lips on mine was enough to send my normally gathered mind into a frenzy, only Zero could do this to me. Of course if anyone else tried to kiss me I would send them to heaven a few years early. It felt like hours upon hours that we stayed like this.

Then he gently pulled away from me and I, reluctantly, did the same. Touching my lips in amazement I blinked at him and he blushed lightly as he scratched the back of his neck.

"Y-you should get back to your homework. You took a lot of time in doing...this." I turned my head away from him.

"What are you talking about? That was probably one second." One second? Is this how it feels when time supposedly stops, just for a second. Maybe even a second in slow motion, I laughed quietly at that thought.

"I see, one second." I smiled at him. I placed my hand on top of his and smiled, he blushed and once more scratched the back of his head as he looked down. What a cute habit he has.

"Kaname?" He looked to his right and blushed slightly.

"Hmm?" I tilted my head a little.

"Can I kiss you...again?"

"..."
