Perfection is Overrated.

I do not own any parts of Avatar: The Last Airbender Those rights go to Michael Dante DiMartino, and Bryan Konietzko

"Perfection is overrated."Iroh preaches to the avatar, telling the boy that he choose the right path, and happiness was much more important than power.

However Irohs mind is not with the curious boy, no, Iroh mind is back at the Firenation palace ten years ago when he told the same bit of advice to another young and confused child.

"I'm going to be perfect Uncle. I am." The innocent four year old said as she sat on her uncle's inviting lap.

"Azula, perfection is overrated, you'd be much wiser and happier to except yourself for whom you are." He joked playfully squeezing onto her little hands. "For you are already a wonderful little girl."

"But Uncle." Azula sighed leaning back onto her uncles belly.

"But Azula." He smiled at her giggle. "Are you going to be perfect so the boys will like you?" He laughed before he could even get an answer her red face was enough.

"No! I'm going to be perfect because, I'm going to, to fix things." She rolled her big golden eyes at him, shaking her head like it was the most obvious thing.

"What kind of things can you fix Azula?"

"Big stuff. You know like, like the things that matter." She shook her head as if agreeing with herself. Iroh laugh and plucked her off his lap setting her down in the soft grass next to him.

"So you're going to be perfect, to fix things?" He asked, elbowing her playfully as she looked up at him, she smiled.

"No. I'm going to be perfect so mommy will love me and Daddy won't hit me."
