HEADPHONES

It was Robin's turn to wash the dishes after dinner. The others went to their rooms to rest for the day, all except a Beast Boy who was watching TV. From time to time, the green teen would look back at the slim figure washing the dishes, and when the other teen looked up he would turn his head back to the screen, hoping the other didn't notice. Apparently Robin didn't notice, since he was lost in the music on his headphones; Beast Boy was grateful for that.

For some time he's had a crush on the boy wonder and was too afraid to tell him; too afraid of what he might think if he told. He was afraid the other would hate him, and kick him out of the titans; he didn't want to leave, this was his home. If only he could tell Robin without him really finding out. How in the world is he going to do that? How is that even possible?

He glanced back at Robin, who was still washing the dishes, and notice the headphones. Bingo! He thought. BB got up and walked over to the counter; he was nervous, but determined to tell the boy wonder about his feelings. Robin didn't notice. He sat down on the stool and took a deep breath. You can do it Beast Boy, just tell him how you feel, besides he won't even hear you, he told himself. He took another deep breath, ready to say what he wanted to say.

"Robin…" the other didn't even flinch. Good. "For some time I've been having these feelings for…someone" just tell him, is not like he can hear you, he thought. "This person's really cool, strong, clever and handsome…" he blushed. "I really, really, really like this person…and you know who it is? Is…is…you. I love you Robin"

For a moment, Robin stopped moving and Beast Boy got scared. Did he hear me? He thought nervously. But then Robin moved again and he let out a sigh of relief. It seemed like Robin hadn't heard him and he was grateful for that. Now that he got it out of his chest he felt better, even though the other hadn't heard him, either way he was glad. Robin didn't need to find out yet, once he was ready he would tell him again. For now, he was ok with him not finding out.

He turned to leave, but as he got off the stool a hand grabbed him and turned him around. A pair of lips met his in a sweet, chaste kiss. The kiss was quick, but it left Beast Boy in a daze. His cheeks turned red when he saw the owner of the lips. Robin was smiling at him, with his headphones still on.

"I love you too Beast Boy" he kissed him again.

Who said he wasn't listening?
