S For Samifer

"Beware, the beginning is near."- Lucifer said in a mock dangerous voice as he took his seat across Sam in the coffee shop.

-"You went to another one of those things?"- Sam said disbelievingly, gesturing towards the V For Vendetta mask that adorned his friend's face.

-"Those "things" Sammy, will change the world. One day at a time, dear one."-

-"Does that mean you can't take it off?"- Sam said exasperated as Lucifer was yet to take off the mask.

-"Actually that means that we'll get to do anything and everything we want."- Lucifer spoke as he unstrapped the mask and set on their table.

Sam's chocolate sugar bomb of a coffee was seated safely between his hands, while Lucifer's strong black Turkish coffee awaited, slowly cooling down for him.

-"So what'd you do in classes today?"- He asked as he took his first sip.

Sam and Lucifer met in Stanford.

Well, he met Lucifer when he grabbed Sam by the waist at the party and whirlwind him around the room, while singing incoherently to some Beyonce song about "rings" and "men on hips".

Sam aspired to be a lawyer, to show that not all lawyers are bad and greedy people, to help and prove justice.

Lucifer aspired to have a name plate that says "The Devil's Advocate".

-"Not much, really. Some new lessons, I'll hand you over the scripts. Jessica was perched on my head all day. Kinda annoying but, you know..."-

Jessica was always stalking him whenever Lucifer wasn't around, which was frequently. He once told Sam in a drunken daze that the only reason he ever went to classes was him. Sam didn't know what to think of that, but it made him blush.

They talked around small things for a while.

It was funny to Sam how easily relaxed Lucifer could get around him.

He had heard more often than not, that Lucifer was cold.

But he wasn't never with him.

If anything he was warm, and kind, and maybe sometimes annoying but in a pleasant way.

-"So, what's been up with this Gubral guy?"- Lucifer said feigning indifference. Sam sensed the quick shift in Lucifer's mood.

-"Its Gabriel, Luc, and you know it is. And uh, yeah he decided to drop it."- Sam said while awkwardly fiddling with his cup.

-"Woah, what?"- Lucifer straightened up in his seat, from the careless slouch he held.

-"He decided I was too tall.*chuckle* And to be honest I think it's for the best. Too smarmy for me."- He said deciding to sip awkwardly from his drink.

-"Want me to beat him up?"- Sam spluttered slightly in his coffee, but saw that Lucifer was absolutely serious in the matter.

-"Ah, yeah, no, not in kindergarten anymore, remember?"- Sam said decisively.

-"Besides, I'm really ok with Gabe. We just didn't match. Happens all the time."- Sam shrugged. It was the truth after all.

-"Sooo, does that mean that you're available?"- Lucifer asked twirling slightly in his chair.

-"Um, yeah I guess it does, yeah."- Sam responded puzzled. If this was going where he thought it was going...

-"So uh, how about you go out on a date, with me?"- Lucifer smiled brightly besides his fumbling words.

Then he liked where it went!

-"Yeah."- Sam said approvingly.

Lucifer actually dropped from his seat.

Sam laughed heartedly. He would do anything, absolutely anything to stir Lucifer.

He rose from the ground, smiling brightly despite his fall.

-"I knew the beginning was coming."-

-"Yeah, or maybe the Apocalypse."- Sam laughed as he grabbed Lucifer by the hand and dragged him out of the café.

Crappy ficlet is crappy.

I don't even know anymore, I felt like Lucifer would be all about revolution and activism if he were a human instead of an angel on the show.

You know changing the world and all, bring the man down? Kinda like god and angels and whatnot?

No?

Okay.
