A/N: Just a quick little one-shot I wrote. Takes place after Behemoth.

I do not own Leviathan, Behemoth, or Goliath.

Alek has been acting rather odd ever since we got back from Istanbul. He's been avoiding me and anytime I do see him his speech is jumbled, his balance is off, and he blushes a lot.

"Mr Sharp." says Bovril, giggling. I don't even bother trying to understand it anymore.

"Aye beastie?" I ask, wondering if it'll actually say something meaningful.

" In love, Mr. Sharp." it says, giggling once again. Barking spiders! It really is, as the lady boffin says, perspicacious I avoid saying anything in response in hopes that it was just an accident, not that it was. The loris never says something it didn't mean to say.

"Princeliness, bent." Bovril says. I freeze. Surely this thing isn't saying what I think it is. Alek couldn't be, and if he was he wouldn't say it in front of the loris. I lie down on my bed, ignoring the odd noises coming from the creature on the table.

"Dummkopf." says the loris as someone knocks on the door. I take that to mean Alek.

"Come in." I yell. He enters the room and closes the door behind him.

"Hi-uh-Dylan. I just want to-uh-tell you something." he says nervously. "I don't know how to put this but I've never met anyone quite like you. You're brave, smart, and strong. I guess what I'm trying to tell you is I love you, and more than I would a friend."

"Alek I-" but at that moment he leaned in and kissed me. It was passionate, but short. It's everything I had hoped for from him. One thing didn't quite fit.

"How did you figure out that I'm a girl?" I ask.

"Girl? You're a girl?" he states shocked.

"Yes." I answer with annoyance.

"Well this isn't going to work for me then, sorry to bother you." and with that he left. I look at Bovril.

"It seems I broke him, aye beastie?" I say. He just looks at me giggling.

"I guess he just couldn't handle a real man, or a girl."
