A/N: First Victorious fiction, with my favorite couple Jade and Beck. I may do more, let's see how it goes ;)
~X~X~X~
"I think I have it figured out."
Those are the first things Jade West says to her boyfriend Beck Oliver that Friday morning. She was outside his RV, dressed all in black, arms crossed, and colorful brown hair shielding her face, the specific blue strands shielding her eyes.
Beck isn't sure what's wrong or even how to reply to his girlfriend's statement. But he knows she'll tell him even if he doesn't ask. "Humor me," he replies. Jade steps inside his RV and sits down on his couch. Without a word he brushes her hair out of her eyes so he can see her expression.
"I figured out the formula to make a stupid Barbie movie," Jade then states.
His mouth quirks into a smile. "That's what is bothering you?"
"It's not bothering me," she defends. "On my TV, Barbie has her own channel. And I figured it out, in almost every Barbie movie there's pink, fashion crises, fairies, and tests of friendship."
Beck laughed. "And let me guess, it makes you sick?"
"Yes!" Jade huffed. "Do you know why?"
He picked up his backpack and stuffed it with textbooks. "It's not too hard to figure out why, babe. You're the kind of person who hates Barbie, pink, fashion crises, fairies, and tests of friendship." He slung the backpack around his shoulder. "Isn't that right?"
She crossed her arms again and stood up. Even in heels Beck towered over the teenage girl, however today she decided a nice pair of black flats would do nicely, so his towering seemed to double. "I don't hate the all fairies," she replied. "And that's not the reason I hate Barbie. I hate Barbie because they can never be original. They'll have different villains with the same personality and motive, Barbie will have different best friends with the same personality and motive, she'll even have the same pets with the same personality and motive!"
Once again he laughed. "I'm pretty sure a dog and a cat have the same motive, to be their owners pet."
"Ugh! And the songs! It's all about being a girl, and pink, and keeping secrets, and being a princess!" Jade exclaimed. "It's sickening Beck, it's really just sickening."
By now he was already out of his RV and headed towards his car. "Why were you watching the Barbie channel in the first place?" he asked once he and Jade were both in the car.
She scoffed. "Cause I don't know."
"That's neither an answer nor a complete thought." Beck backed out of his driveway and started to head for school. Jade remained silent and once again her hair had fallen in just the right place to hide her eyes. "Come on babe, don't tell me this Barbie thing is going to upset you for the whole day."
"No, I'm over that," she muttered.
"Then what's wrong?"
"Why do Bratz dolls have such big heads and such small bodies?"
Beck groaned. He loved Jade, he really did, but at that very moment, he wanted to put tape over her mouth. Oh well. Kissing her always shut her up.
And it did. The minute he leaned over and mashed his mouth with hers she shut up about the toy industry.
~Ha ha, just short and sweet I suppose. Reviews would bring smiles :D~
