Every time I look at him, I feel this strange tingling sensation in my spine. It feels like time stops and I am taken aback. It's strange that I realize my true feelings for him now but the more I think about it, the more I believe that I have always loved him. And after Ozai's defeat, when he asked me to be his girlfriend, I couldn't say no.

He was admiring the exquisite view of Ba Sing Se as I approached him. Our eyes met, and I felt a burning sensation in my cheeks as I enjoyed his presence. My arm found its way to his shoulder as we pulled in for a compassionate hug. As we pulled out of it, we stared at the colorful sunset for a few seconds. A huge surge of warmth flooded my body while I turned to face him. I knew at that moment he felt the same sensation. He turned to me. And at the moment, we both knew what we wanted for so long. We leaned in, closed our eyes and our lips locked. My heart flutters as his soft lips caress mine. My pure love for him poured out of my soul and into the kiss as we went deeper and deeper. We held our embrace for what seemed like an eternity when we finally pulled apart. We both smiled a tender, loving smile. He looked at me lovingly in the eye, reached for my hand and opened his mouth to speak.

"Katara, ever since I first met you after my one hundred years of slumber, I knew that you were the one I wanted to be with. All this time, I have wanted you to feel the same way about me. I never gave up, and now I know that we were meant to be together. Would you, Katara of the Southern Water Tribe, be my girlfriend?"

My eyes widened with astonishment and excitement when the truth of his words finally sunk in. I wiped my dumbfounded expression off my face and replaced it with a tender smile and looked into his stormy gray eyes and said, "Aang, I would love to be your girlfriend." His reaction immediately showed on his face. He smiled his classic smile that I have always loved and adored.

He didn't need to say anything for we both knew that our destinies were truly intertwined.
