hey, first Jix/Jill! see, even thier names sound right. ;D just a short everfound continuation one-shot. enjoy!

He slid the fence gate shut and locked it with an ominous click, baring his sharp teeth in a terrifying grin that immobilized the pig.

But it wasn't as if she could have moved before anyway.

And no matter how large and immobile with shock she was, she was still smart enough to know that this was an experience that she would definitely not be escaping unscathed. The animal glared at her through its deadly amber slits and emitted a feral growl of hunger and... longing?

An innocent squeak questioned the cat's horrifyingly silent and sleek attack as he crouched, slithered forward, and pounced, biting and snapping her throat, killing her instantly, and to her surprise, almost painlessly. As the pig died, she felt a strange pull, yanking her up, out of the mangled sow's body, and backwards. The girl who had been previously trapped within the animal sailed through the air head-first, screeching in surprise and confusion, suspiciously similar to that of the squeal of the swine. Memories exploded through what she remembered as her brain, some unwanted, and she closed her eyes and sighed a long, drawn out sigh, expecting and half wanting to pass straight through the earth and keep sinking, slowly, to the very center.

It was very much to her surprise, then, when she was tackled and landed on her back with a very solid thud on very solid grass with very solid hands resting on her faintly glowing shoulders which, did she mention, were above ground? It was then to her surprise that when she opened her eyes, the owner of the very solid hands, which were extremely cat-like, gave her a very solid embrace with a very solid expression in his very solid eyes that made her glow a very solid shade of lavender.

"Jix?" she managed to stutter. He smiled teasingly.

"No," he rolled his eyes before falling to the ground beside her and taking her hand. "Of course." He played with her fingers before turning to face her as she did the same. "You're welcome." he said softly as he traced the lines on her palm.

"Thanks." She grinned. "I didn't think that you'd..."

"Underestimating me, Jill?" Jix purred, ear twitching.

"Nah. You always come through somehow, right?" Her grin got wider.

"And that's why you love me?" Jill slapped him on the arm but replied by laughing anyway.

"Yeah, whatever helps you sleep at night." Jix just smiled softly to himself as Jill raised a brow.

"You missed so many things," he played with her hair absently.

"Okay, one, stop changing the subject. Two... Ugh, don't give me that look, like you think it's funny or something." Jill glared pointedly, which was a little hard to do while staring into those amber pools of contagious amusement.

"Just say it. Let out all of that emotional turmoil." Her glare softened as she rolled her eyes.

"I... missed you the most, okay?" Her Afterglow flared that pesky lavender again, and Jix pulled her closer so her back was against his chest and his arms were around waist as his spotted tail wrapped loosely around her knee. He stroked her hair protectively, because she was his, and he was her savior.

as you might have been able to tell, it's a third person type of thing, but it's almost from Jill's perspective. review! :)
