Living Your Life
Dinner
August 24th
George was the first to arrive, he flooed in and walked towards the kitchen. Kreacher was busily working on dinner and George greeted him.
"Master Harry wants me to tell Master Weasley that he his waiting in the living room." The old elf told him. George nodded in thanks and made his way up the stairs.
He found him dutifully sitting on the couch with his feet propped up and sat down next to him. Harry smiled brightly at him and was engulfed in a warm hug.
"Did you came alone, George? Charlie said the girls would be the first to arrive?" Harry asked.
"Yeah, well I didn't want you to be lonely." He answered.
"Bill just left, I find a way to keep busy."
"Nothing to strenious, I hope, Charlie would go nuts." Harry glared at him.
George looked aimlessly around the room and that made Harry curious, something was definitely going on. He decided to wait for a bit and it worked. His brother-in-law took a deep breath.
"I want to propose to Angie." Harry blinked at him. "Really?"
"Mmh. I walked by this jewellery store on my way here, I wanted to pick up a bottle of wine, which I might have forgotten and there was this ring in the shop window, I walked in and the next thing I remember is leaving with the ring in my pocket."
"Okay."
"I love her, you know, she is it for me, so why wait, right?" His eyes looked right at Harry, begging for an advice. Harry smiled at him and nodded. George smiled back at him. "Okay, once the dinner is over I talk to Fred." Harry gaped at him. "You..." He cleared his throat. "You told me, but not him?" George blushed a bit. "Yeah, well you are actually married."

''You just have to love this table.'' Fred gushed happily and turned the inner circle of the table. ''Actually, it is not a table, it's just a rotating tray. I don't know why, but it is called 'Lazy Susan'.'' Harry replied.
''And I don't care, but I love it! We need one like this, Alicia.'' He never noticed her surprised look at the casual comment.
''Shouldn't you tell George this?'' She asked and Angelina hummed in agreement, because the two men were still living together in the small apartment above their shop. Although their two girlfriends were spending most nights, they hadn't officially moved in yet.
''Tell George what?'' He asked confused.
''That we should meet for dinner more often.'' Charlie answered immediately and Harry had the feeling that his husband knew something that he didn't.
''That's true, you know it's completely your fault. If you hadn't extended your shop hours, you could eat dinner with Teddy and us.'' Harry played along and Charlie smiled at him and gave him a little wink.
''We need the last two hours for the office workers and it really pays off.''
''But we need to be there just as much as our employees, if not more to set a good example.'' Fred finished.
''If you say so.'' Harry said sceptically. ''But that still leaves Sundays.''
''Yeah right, what about mum and her family dinners?'' Fred asked.
Harry simply waved a hand and shrugged. ''Tell her there is someone more important to meet.''
''I for one am not suicidal. You tell her that and see what happens.'' George told him.
He smiled angelically and answered. ''I'm pregnant, I can do no wrong.''
''Too true, mum doesn't even greet me nowadays when we Floo over.'' Charlie sniffed and let his head fall forward to hide his smile and pull off the sad look. What he didn't expect was the reaction of his husband, who began tearing up.
''Oh Charlie, I'm sorry I talk to Molly okay, please don't be sad anymore.'' He hiccupped once and Charlie wasted no time to wrap his arms around him and sooth him. ''I was just joking, I didn't mean it, just forget about it.''
''Okay.'' Harry said brightly and turned back to his plate full of food.
Charlie sat there blinking his eyes in surprise and missed the wink that was exchanged between Harry and the girls.
''Is he always changing moods like this?'' Fred asked George in a whisper, but only got a shrug of his shoulders as answer. The dinner continued in a familial way, jokes, stories, tattling...
They continued talking in the living room till it was getting dark outside, but once Harry failed to hide a yawn, the four guests exchanged quick glances and decided without words to leave for the night.
Charlie and Harry snuggled up in bed and Harry turned towards his husband and asked about Fred.
"Okay, but don't tell anyone, he doesn't want anyone to know." Harry raised an eyebrow and Charlie gave a little embarrassed grin. "Right, sorry. I know you can keep a secret. It's just he hasn't told George yet. Fred is thinking about if he should ask Alicia to move in or if he should go all the way and propose."
Harry's eyes nearly popped out. "For real?" He asked and when Charlie nodded, he couldn't stop the giggles anymore.

Charlie flooed in about half a minute before Fred, who looked up startled.
"Hey, big bro, am I the last.?" He looked towards the clock and realised that he was indeed twenty minutes late.
"Yes, Kreacher just told me that the others are already in the dining room, having drinks."
Fred nodded. Charlie looked at him and couldn't help but feel worried.
"You okay?" Fred looked at him and swallowed. "You know that little jewellery store a few stores down from us?" Charlie nodded. "On my way to get us lunch I couldn't help but see this ring, you know."
"Did you buy it?"
"No, Merlin, no. I'm not that crazy, but I can't stop thinking about that stupid thing, Alicia would totally love it. I thought maybe it's time to live together, for real, I love having her with me, I don't like it if she is sleeping somewhere else. But now, do you think she would say yes if I, you know, propose?" He whispered the last word and looked fearfully towards the door.
"She loves you, everyone can see that."
"Yeah, but would she say yes to an immature overgrown kid like me?"
"I believe so yes." He answered truthfully.
"Thanks." Fred engulfed him in a hug and they made their way towards the door, Fred put his hand on the door handle and turned once more towards his brother. "Don't tell George, okay? You can tell Harry, but no one else, I talk to George once were home, okay?"
Charlie nodded.
Hope you like it.
