Of Knights and Kings

Jet sneezed. "ACHOO!"

The room rang with sound, with Blaze saying "Bless you." The dusters, Shadow, Jet, Blaze, Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, Silver, and Tails were busy cleaning.

"Tell me again why we're stuck helping you clean Tails' library…" Shadow asked the speedy hedgehog.

Sonic shrugged. "Hey, I needed help!"

Suddenly, Amy ran by and hugged him. "Well, I'm glad you asked, Sonic!"

Knuckles jumped up toward the two and pulled Amy from Sonic. "Stop and start cleaning." He told the pink hedgehog, letting Sonic breathe again.

Silver chuckled a bit. "Well, that's a relief."

Suddenly, a book suddenly fell from the selves and landed near Tails. He picked it up, vaguely remembering it was his King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table book.

He gasped. Instead of the original cover, it now had a picture of Sonic in golden armor, holding Excalibur. On the bottom, was the title written in cursive letters the same color as the armor, Sonic and the Black Knight.

"Uh, Sonic…" The fox asked.

Sonic grabbed the book from his hands. "Oh, you found it. Well, it's this great story…"

Knuckles and Tails stared at the book after Sonic finished his story. "So, let me get this straight. You were in this book thanks to this female wizard and meet counterparts of us, where I was a knight, Tails was a blacksmith, and you turned out to be the true King Arthur?" Knuckles asked.

Sonic nodded. "Yep. And just so you know, you make a good knight."

Tails was busy imagining Sonic with a sword. "That's so cool!"

"So that knight story WAS true!" Amy exclaimed, imagining herself as the Lady of the Lake.

"Yeah, that's what I've been trying to tell you…" Sonic mumbled, rubbing the spot on his head which had been hit (1).

Silver and Blaze both blinked, trying to imagining themselves as knights. "The only female…" Blaze mumbled to herself.

Sonic suddenly turned to his rivals. "Hey, can you two see it?"

Shadow and Jet imagined them as knights fighting against Sonic. It was like a speed battle, but with swords this time. Sonic was in a corner, his last stand, when he suddenly countered…

"Yep." They both smirked.

(1) Remember? Sonic told Amy his adventure at the end of the game, but she didn't believe him and it was just another "I-Forgot-Our-Date" excuse, so it was hammer time! XD
