The Burning of Parallax

From the movie Green Lantern. A shot fic of the death of Parallax, beloved fear entity. Here you can look trough his eyes and see how his death felt at the hands of Hal Jordan, very painful for Parallax fans, including myself to. So I hope all of you like it.

I fear no one, they fear me.

I followed that annoying human trough space above that wretched planet called Earth. Sur's beloved successor will fall. Just like the man who formerly had his ring.

Parallax is my name. Formerly I was known as Krona, a respected Guardian of the Universe who only wanted to prove that even the Yellow Power of Fear could be mastered. But I become more then he ever dreamed.

I became the master of fear.

I shot a beam at the human but he quickly dodged it. I saw him fly to an upcoming meteor stream. He flew gracefully past the big rocks.

Finally I saw where he was going.

The sun…

What was he thinking? He would be burned alive.

He flew towards the sun and stood before it. Without thinking I went to him, I could feel that he was still full of doubt. Well allow me to release him of all that doubt.

I flew towards him. Looking into his eyes.

"The bigger you are, the faster you burn Parallax" he said while he looked straight at me.

I launched myself towards him, but then in the last minute he flew away. I slowed myself down but felt something.

It was a pull. The gravity of the sun was pulling me towards it.

I refused to be defeated this way. By that pathetic human who just learned about the Corps. After I'm done with him I will take revenge on the Green Lantern Corps, nobody makes a fool out of Parallax.

I was powerful enough to escape the pull and flew towards him one more time. I came closer and closer to him and then….

A green punch hit me in the head hard and flew me backwards to the sun.

I lost to much energy, I felt myself grow closer to the heat.

Once again, I refuse to be defeated by this human. I tried in vain to escape the pull, but I fell to hard.

I felt the intensive heat burn trough my entire being, and soon I was completely engulfed in the Earth's sun.

It was all over.

A short one-shot. Sorry for all Parallax fans, but I just thought I needed to write this, because Parallax recently became 1 of my favorite villains. Reviews will be appreciated, this was Lord Shockwave and I wish you all a very good night.
