Summary: "Uh, H-Hinata-chan?" Naruto said lamely, shaking Hinata a little. He heard a chuckle from the owner of the shop that Naruto and Hinata were in front of. "Young love…." Naruto heard her whisper as she chuckled again. "H-Hinata-chan loves me?"
Disclaimer: If I owned Naruto, there would be more romance.
It was one of Konohagakure's sunny days. Everyone seemed to be in a cheerful mood. Even the human ice block, Neji Hyuuga, seemed to be feeling happy.
Naruto was strolling the village, humming to himself. He was on his way to get himself a tasty bowl of ramen for lunch when he noticed a certain Hyuuga girl walking on the opposite side of the street.
"Hinata-chan!" Naruto exclaimed, jogging to catch up with her. The Hyuuga Heiress turned towards him and flushed bright red at the realization of who it was.
"O-oh. Hi N-Naruto-kun." She immediately bent down to twiddle her fingers. Naruto furrowed his eyebrows.
"Why are you always so shy, Hinata-chan?" he asked. "And you always turn this bright red color around me."
For the first time ever, Hinata wished Naruto would shut up. And, much to the girl's relief, he shook his head and un-furrowed his brows.
"Anyways, I was wondering if you'd like to get some ramen with me!" If possible, Hinata got redder.
"L-like on a…..on a d-date?" Hinata stuttered. Naruto furrowed his eyebrows again. Why was the idea of going on a date with Hinata so appealing to him? Not only that….he felt a jump in his stomach and something warm in his heart. Finally making up his mind, Naruto replied to the waiting girl.
"Yeah! Like a date!" He exclaimed, happily. Then, without warning, Hinata fainted. She would have hit the ground had Naruto not thrown out his arms to catch her.

"Young love…." Naruto heard her whisper as she chuckled again.
"H-Hinata-chan loves me?" Naruto whispered to himself. His eyes opened widely and he stared down at the young woman in his arms. Suddenly, it all made sense. Naruto took the time to curse himself under his breath.
The blushing, the fainting, the shyness…damn his obliviousness! He felt so pathetic! She had given him such painfully obvious signs and he didn't notice?
Naruto picked Hinata up bridal style and carried her down the street towards Ichiraku's Ramen Stand. He did promise Hinata a lunch date after all.
And as the Hyuuga in his arms began to gain consciousness, Naruto smiled down at her and pressed a kiss to her forehead.
You know, he thought. I might just be in love with her, too.
Wasn't that just so kawaii? Well, you better get used to these short stories people. They ain't gonna change. I still need practice for writing longer stories. This was just a cute little drabble that came to me.
