Wildstar93: Hey there, everyone, and welcome back to Pokémon Scary Tales. I'm really sorry I haven't uploaded this recently because there's been a lot of stuff going on. But since today's Halloween, I had decided to upload one.

Anyway, I've heard how The Lion King's getting a remake, and how Warrior Cats is finally getting a movie. For The Lion King live-action remake, I'll be positive about it; I hope the remake's good, but I'll still like the animated one more. As for Warrior Cats, I've waited nine years for a movie, and it's coming at last.

I think that's about it for now. Anyway, this will contain some stuff from the upcoming Pokémon Sun and Moon games. And I apologize if this chapter is shorter than the others; I had to write quickly before Halloween ends for the year.

Uploading Date: October 31, 2016 (Halloween)

Enjoy!

The White Lycanroc

"Man, how many months has it been since the author last updated?" Buizel asked as he broke the fourth wall.

Togekiss also broke the fourth wall as she replied, "I believe it may have been a few years. He must update more often."

Buizel nodded. "Yeah. And our old batch of candy's gone. Thank Arceus the Haunter brothers got more."

"We freeze the candy so that it never goes bad," one of the Haunter brothers said with a grin. 'But we'll never tell them how we do it, right, brother mine?"

"Right-o," said the other brother with an even bigger grin.

Dawn's Quilava (who had evolved a few years ago) frowned. "Huh. No wonder the chocolate took a little longer to melt," he remarked.

Once Ash had gotten back from Kalos, he had arranged for a hangout week with Dawn and Brock. They brought over their Pokémon from Sinnoh, who had decided to continue their scary stories. But Team Rocket's Pokémon did not show up this time, though Pikachu was inwardly relieved about that; though he did like sharing stories with them, he was afraid that they would lead their trainers to them.

Once everyone was huddled around the campfire, Mew stood up, saying, "I would like to tell everyone a story that you might not have heard yet. It's called The White Lycanroc, a scary tale from Alola."

"Alola?" Pikachu asked.

"Yep, a tropical place with four islands guarded by their own guardian," said Mew. "Instead of gyms, there are trials with tasks that can test a trainer's skills. It's got some cool Pokémon too like Mudsdale, Decidueyes, Incineroar, and Primarina."

Pikachu grinned. "Cool. Ash and I gotta explore that someday."

But neither noticed Buneary giving Mew a jealous glare.

"And what's a Lycanroc?" added Mamowsine.

"It's a Rock-type Pokémon, and like how Eevee evolves into Espeon or Umbreon, it evolves depending on whether it's day or night," explained Mew. "At day, a Rockruff will evolve into the Midday Lycanroc, a wolf-like creature. But at night, it evolves into the Midnight Lycanroc, which is more like a werewolf."

Their team chatted amongst themselves excitedly. Here was a new region they would hope to explore one day.

So Mew began her tale: "The Lycanroc in the Alola region were getting out of hand. Their numbers grew so great that both forms easily resisted all farmers' attempts to drive them away from their livestock. Both forms were the Midday form, a wolf-like creature that evolves during the day, and there is the Midnight form, a werewolf-like creature."

Infernape smiled at this. "Awesome. I'll have to fight one of them one day. It'll be so awesome."

Mew continued, "A certain hunter had heard that there was a large reward, and it was five-thousand Poké for each Lycanroc pelt he brought back. So he went out and started hunting them all until there were no more Lycanroc or their evolution, Rockruff. So he went home a rich man, vowing to never take up hunting ever again."

All of the Pokémon felt reviled. There were plenty of endangered Pokémon in the world. Pikachu knew that Ash's old Lapras was on the endangered species list. To hear that a human wiped out an entire species just to get rich made their blood bubble with rage.

"But then came something strange," Mew went on. "A farmer had seen a big white Lycanroc harassing the local Mudsdale and trying to catch the local Passimian. This Lycanroc had fur as white as snow on the highest Alola mountain, and it could switch forms at the drop of a dime. When trainers threw their PokéBalls at it or hunters shot at it, the Lycanroc always evaded PokéBalls and bullets. So it seemed unstoppable, sweeping its fury across the countryside."

Croagunk blinked. "Whoa," he croaked. "That's like a Pichu on a high sugar rush."

"Or me using Blaze," Infernape added.

"Perhaps it is otherworldly?" suggested the Honchkrow who still sounded like James Earl Jones.

"One night, the hunter saw that the white Lycanroc had killed his beloved Mudbray. Even if it's a Rock-type weak against Mudbray's Ground-type attacks, it could not save Mudbray from its teeth," Mew continued. "This was the last straw, and the hunter decided to forgo his promise of never hunting again. He went out to the meadow, captured a Mareep, and set it up as bait in a cage. As the Mareep prepared to shock any intruder, the hunter sat closely, preparing to shoot."

Brock's Chansey (who had evolved yeard ago) gulped at the thought of something big eating the Mareep, even if she was bigger than that. Torterra let any nervous Pokémon stick to him or hide in the tree on his back. Even the ghosts looked a little apprehensive; they were mischief-makers, but they would never kill anything.

"The next morning," Mew went on, "the hunter's friends got worried. He had not returned from his latest hunt. So they went out to the meadow to find him. They found the Mareep in the cage and let it out, who went out to graze. It was very hungry and startled, but it was unharmed."

Everyone let out a sigh of relief.

Mew let them relax before dropping the bomb. "But as for the hunter, he was found dead," she said with an ominous look. "His throat was torn out, and there were several rocks driven into his stomach. But there was no sign of a struggle, and no pawprints were in the dirt. As for the white Lycanroc, it was never seen ever again."

"I knew it," he said haughtily. "I knew it was not of the living. It was a ghost, a phantom."

"We heard that!" exclaimed one of the Haunter brothers. "I think this guy's mocking us, brother!"

The other agreed. "So Honchkrow, got any other ideas than poems?" he added.

"Can we just add our thoughts to the story?" Pikachu demanded. The ghosts and Honchkrow settled down, and he said, "But about that Lycanroc, that was kinda sad and creepy."

"Maybe all those Lycanroc were his pack?" Staraptor suggested. "It doesn't excuse what he did, but that could be a reason."

Piplup shrugged. "Yeah. I don't feel that bad for the hunter, though," he said. "I bet he deserved it."

"And I bet this story might deserve to be updated more," Pikachu added as he broke the fourth wall again. Then he paused and then said, "Wow. We really gotta stop breaking the fourth wall so often."

To be continued...

Wildstar93: Here we go, this chapter's done. I hope you all liked it, but if there's anything wrong with this chapter, please let me know so I can go back and fix it. Constructive criticism is always welcome here as long as you're polite about it. And since today's Halloween, anyone who reads and reviews will get virtual Halloween candy of their choice (wow, it's been a long time since I did that).

So who's all ready for Sun and Moon? I really like it so far, from the new Pokémon to Alola forms of first-generation Pokémon to even the Z moves. I also really like the PC stuff you can do on there, and the trials look interesting. And I also look forward to the Alola Pokémon League to battle with Cynthia, Red, and Blue.

See ya next time! And Happy Halloween!
