It was a sunny day and me and my mom were driving to the store to get food. I had recently gotten my license and my mom wanted me to drive today. We were almost there when a drunk driver hit us. But he didn't stop, he was so drunk that he thought we were just a bump in the road, something that he needed to drive over. We tumbled off the road and into the woods where we kept hitting trees and rocks. We didn't stop till we reached the bottom of the hill, which was about 200 ft. from the top.

I couldn't move, I couldn't call for help. I looked towards my mother but her eyes were closed and I couldn't tell if she was alive. The other vehicle had come down with us, but it wasn't moving either. It was a good 5 hours before someone found us, or so I was told, by that point I was unconcious. When I woke up I was in the hospital, or I thought it was the hospital, it turned out to be my father's lab. My father was standing near me with a worried and grim look on his face. I asked him what happened and if my mom was okay. The news wasn't good. My mother had died and I had been damaged so badly that they had to do a " special" surgery for me. That's when I noticed that my body was mostly robotic now. There was barely any skin and actual body left. At that moment I knew that my life was ruined, my college-bound life had ended.

And I was right, to a certain extent. I had been kicked off the football team because other schools considered it cheating with my advanced technology, my friends shunned me because my robotic parts were too noticable, and now I was stuck with only a father, who I was currently in a fight with over the fact that he didn't just let me die.

One day I just couldn't take it any longer and I ran away, I didn't get very far when I meet the people who I now consider family. Because of that chance meeting I not only have a place to live, I have friends who don't shun me because I'm a cyborg, and my used to be friends are now some of my biggest friends, but best of all, I have a little green elf I can beat at videogames.
