Oh hey! It's been like what, 4 years since my last chapter? Well, 4 years, 2 kids, a career change, and a pandemic later, I've decided to give you all an update. I figured since the world is going through a shitty time, I might as well give us all something to look forward to while we're all holed up in our homes.

Rewrite: Chapter 6

Tonks pushed Edens' stroller along the cobbled roads of Diagon Alley. She was running late, but Penny and Sofia knew her well enough that her concept of time was more of than usual.

"We're almost there darling." She cooed to the infant.

She finally arrived to the cafe and found her friends sitting at a table.

"Sorry I'm late. I swear that I used to be on time."

"Oh don't worry about it. You have a baby now, I'm sure being a mum takes up most of your time." Penny assured.

Tonks let out a big sigh causing Sofia to chuckle. They ordered butterbeers for Sofia and Penny and a cup of tea for Tonks as she knew Eden would need a feed in the next half hour.

"How's my goddaughter?" Penny asked, giving a peek into the stroller, before picking Eden up out of the stroller.

"Growing too fast, not letting me get much sleep, but she's doing great." She replied. "So, Reyes, why have you called us up?"

"Well…" She began before extending out her hand to reveal an engagement ring.

"I knew it!" Penny exclaimed. "So Ben's finally popped the question eh?"

"Was he shaking with nerves?" Tonks interjected.

"No, it was really sweet. He prepared dinner for us at our flat and at the end of the night he got down on one knee and proposed."

"That's great! Have you started planning the wedding yet?" Penny asked.

Sofia shook her head. "We're going to wait to get married until after we're safe from You-Know-Who. His parents were hoping for a beautiful spring wedding, but with both of our jobs and You-Know-Who, it's much safer for everyone."

Tonks nodded in agreement. She couldn't believe her friend was engaged. She remembered meeting Sofia in Herbology class and quickly becoming friends and confidants with the young curse-breaking Slytherin. She recalled the friendship between Sofia and Ben and was surprised when they became a couple after graduating. Nonetheless, she was happy for the pair.

"So because we're engaged, I wanted to ask if you two wanted to be my bridesmaids?" Sofia asked. "I know the wedding is ages away, but it doesn't hurt to start making some plans ahead of time."

"Of course!" Penny exclaimed. "I'm so happy for you Sofia, you really deserve all the happiness possible."

"Thank you Penny."

"I happily accept as well," Tonks replied. "So any chances you'll be inviting Merula along to the happy occasion."

Sofia snorted. "Inviting my ex-girlfriend to my wedding...not sure what the rules are about that."

The trio laughed at the thought, but knew that Sofia Reyes and Merula Snyde had been on good terms for a long while.

"So Tonks, what was your big news?" Penny asked.

"Pardon?" Tonks replied.

"You mentioned in your owl that you had big news." Sofia reminded the young Auror.

"Oh, right. Well...I've found him. Eden's dad."

"Who is it?" Penny asked.

"His name is Remus Lupin."

"Lupin?!" Sofia exclaimed.

"Wait, you know him?"

"Briefly. He was sort of mates with Chiara Lobosca and I met him when we were trying to solve the supposed werewolf attack in 2nd year."

"So how did you find him?" Penny asked.

"It was at a meeting. I was getting acquainted with the rest of the team and lo and behold, he joined the room."

The two witches listened on with curiosity, eager to get the full story. However, both knew that open discussions about the Order of the Phoenix in a public space was forbidden. Perhaps at the next meeting they would get the full story.

"I've decided to let him be a part of Eden's life. He was upset that he'd missed out on her birth and the first few weeks of her life, but now he'll be a part of her life."

"That's great! How did your parents react?" Penny inquired.

"They were shocked, I mean, they both went to school with him. But I think they're just happy that he's a sensible and kind person."

"It also helps that he's a wizard." Sofia interjected.

"I didn't know you were a blood purist, Reyes." Tonks teased.

Sofia rolled her eyes. "I mean that if Eden had inherited your Metamorphagi gene, it would be quite difficult trying to explain that to a muggle."

The ladies nodded in agreement.

"It's so crazy." Penny sighed. "Tonks, you're a mum and Sofia's engaged. Life's just changing so much."

"And Penny Haywood, Healer and potions genius." Sofia added. "I just wish Rowan were here too."

The ladies nodded and thought to their fallen friend.

Penny lifted her pint of butterbeer. "I think it's only right to honor Rowan and this big news with a toast."

"To great friends and love…" Penny began.

"To weddings, babies, and amazing careers." Tonks continued.

"And to Rowan Khanna. The most loyal friend and cleverest witch." Sofia ended.

Two Weeks Later

Tonks had arrived at another Order of the Phoenix meeting, Eden once again in tow. She sat at the table and watched as Molly fussed over the meal she was preparing. In a short while, Sofia, Ben and Penny would be joining for the meeting and dinner.

Tonks looked on as Remus held Eden in his arms while Sirius attempted to make the infant smile. The children were upstairs in their rooms but would soon be making an appearance once the newest members of the Order arrived. Tonks had yet to get close to the kids, but already felt a kinship to Hermione and Ginny.

Once the trio arrived, Tonks watched as Sofia reunited with the Weasley's and Remus. While Sirius and the children looked on.

"I'm assuming you all know each other from Hogwarts." Sirius stated.

Tonks nodded. "Sofia, Penny, Ben and I had many adventures together during our time at Hogwarts."

"You don't say." Sirius replied, intrigued and eager to learn more about his cousin's time at Hogwarts.

"Penny and Sofia are also Eden's godmothers."

"Godmothers?"

"Yeah, there's no one I trust more than those two. Besides, two godmothers are better than one."

Shortly after the reunion, the group sat down for dinner once the rest of the Order members showed up Grimmauld Place.

This time, Tonks was allowed to keep Eden at the meeting thanks to Sirius' menacing glare at Severus Snape when the Hogwarts potions professor had once again ordered that no children were to be present at the meeting.

Eden was once again tucked into Remus's arms as the meeting began discussing the mission to bring Harry Potter to Grimmauld Place. They decided that Tonks, Remus, Mad-Eye and Kingsley would be on the team to retrieve Potter.

The rest of the meeting proceeded without any issues as compared to Tonks' first meeting.

Once the meeting was over, the members mingled and got to know the new members.

"I heard that Penny and Sofia are Eden's godmothers." Remus began.

Tonks nodded. "I named them godmothers before we met again."

"No need to explain Tonks. I trust your judgment as her mother and as an Auror."

"Thanks. I was serious about co-parenting by the way." She began. "Now that you're in her life, you're allowed to help make decisions."

"I appreciate it. We should probably discuss some rules in regards to our co-parenting. I wouldn't want to overstep any boundaries."

"I can stop by tomorrow and we can discuss it." She offered.
"Sounds like a plan."

The evening once again ended with Remus walking Tonks to her car. The awkward silence was still present, however with the promise of a meeting to discuss their daughter, Tonks hoped that any silence or discomfort between the two would quickly dissipate.

...

That's all for now! If you didn't notice, I have been playing a lot of Hogwarts Mystery, so I decided I would add some of the characters including my own character Sofia. Also, I know that this chapter is a bit shorter, but I'm trying to get my footing back when it comes to writing. I'll hopefully be back with a chapter sooner rather than later.
