Mom Meets the Meatheads
DISCLAIMER: I don't own anything, I am making no profit off this fanfiction, sadly.
A/N: Hey guys, I am so sorry it has been so long. I have had a lot on my plate these past six months. My life got a little hectic with a new position at work and school has been overloading my system. Which I dropped out of for the semester. However, I am hoping this update will cheer you all up and I will try to post more frequently. Again, I am very sorry for the long wait but this should make up for it.
Dedication: This chapter will be dedicated to my sister, Autumn. She gave me the idea of having them meet Mebuki and even titled it herself. She is also a writer and we often piggyback off one another for ideas.
Warning: Characters might be OOC to drive the plot forward.
On Saturday, Sakura's annoyingly loud alarm clock didn't wake her and neither did the sun that was peering out from the haphazardly drawn curtains. Oddly enough, the blossom's emerald orbs fluttered open when the tantalizing smell of breakfast crept under her door and into her nose. She bolted up from her bed a grin spread across her lips.
'Mmm. Smells like mom is cooking eggs and bacon.' She mused licking her lips.
'Well, get down there and eat some! We're starving!' Inner urged and as if on cue Sakura's stomach rumbled its symphony.
The junior girl didn't need to be told twice, she jumped out of her bed so quickly she almost slammed face first into the ground after her feet got tangled in the blanket. Miraculously, she only ended up with a sore chest and wrist as she fumbled to catch herself. Rubbing her wrist, Inner invaded her mind again to remind her of her task.
'Nice fail, genius. As much as I would love to toss more jokes your way, I think you should go get your breakfast before we die.'
'I am not going to argue with you.' Was all Sakura replied before getting back up and dashing down the stairs. She took the seat closest to the refrigerator and patiently awaited her breakfast.
Mebuki skipped about the kitchen humming a little tune. She didn't even notice Sakura had come until she whipped around to set a plate of bacon on the dining table her daughter's green orbs were boring a hole into her face. Sakura was grinning so wide in excitement, Mebuki was sure that she was drooling.
The blonde woman rose an elegant brow and snickered. "Hungry, my dear?"
The roseate nodded her soft tresses rapidly. "Yes ma'am. I might die from starvation if I wait too much longer."
'Don't eat too much. We don't want the men thinking we're getting fat.' Inner Sakura chided teasingly.
Sakura rolled her eyes. 'Trust me a couple of slices of bacon are not going to cause me to gain weight.'
"Don't worry. It'll just be another two minutes then the biscuits will be done. Do you think you get the butter and apple butter out of the refrigerator? Oh! Don't forget the creamer and sugar I just made a fresh pot of coffee."
Sakura shook her head yes and rose to gather the things her mom asked her to. She was eager to eat a good breakfast, although she was almost positive her mom was only cooking such a nice a breakfast because she wants to meet all of her friends. Nonetheless, she was going to enjoy her morning it was going to be hell this evening.
She placed the creamer and sugar next to the coffee pot on the table. She, then, set the butter and apple butter across from where her mom would be eating. The pinkette planted herself back in the chair that she was going to be eating in and anxiously awaited the mouth-watering meal her mom had prepared.
A moment later, the blonde woman glided over to the table and scooped some scrambled eggs onto Sakura's plate and her own. She then grabbed the skillet that had the sizzling bacon and grabbed two pieces for herself and Sakura. Finally, Mebuki passed her daughter a biscuit and kept one peeling it open as she took her seat.
'Forget what I said about getting fat. Let's dig in!' The cloudy figure cheered rubbing her dark belly.
"This looks wonderful, mom. Thank you. This is the first real breakfast I've had in about week." The bubblegum-headed teen admitted gripping the hot-sauce and unscrewing the top.
"You're welcome, sweetie. Although, I must admit, I am doing this so you won't hate me for making you invite your multiple boyfriends over." Mebuki confessed as her green eyes looked over her beautiful daughter who was drowning her eggs in hot-sauce.
Sakura's face erupted into a brilliant red at her mom calling the boys her "boyfriends". She set the sauce down her cheeks burning as brightly as her eyes.
"MOM! They are not my boyfriends! They just seem to like me, that's all!"
The older Haruno chuckled and her daughter's outburst. "Okay, honey. I will stop teasing you, for now."
Sakura shook her head at mom but dug into her food nonetheless. She had to start getting cleaning up the house so she could get ready. Regardless of her feelings toward the boys she can't help but want to look good for them.
The duo ate in silence for the rest of the meal. Both women were preoccupied with what they were going to do for the evening. Mebuki wondered if she was ready to meet all the young men who fancied her daughter, but, she knew it was just a matter of time.
About ten minutes later, the Haruno ladies were finished with their morning meal and in the process of cleaning off their dishes and placing them into the dishwasher. Once all the dishes were in washer she closed the door and started them.
They dried their hands off and the blonde picked up a piece of paper that had a list of chores to accomplish before the guests arrived. They were things like straightening the living room, kitchen and cleaning the bathroom.
"I am going to go to the store to get snacks and drinks for tonight. Do you think you could have the house cleaned before I get back?"
"Yeah, I will go start on the bathroom." Sakura nodded as she went upstairs.
She crossed her bedroom and grabbed her phone placing it on the speaker set and started playing her music. A few moments later, the front door could be heard closing indicating that Mebuki had just left the house.
The pink-haired girl gathered the cleaning supplies she would need and got to work. She bopped her body to the beat of each song and in no time her entire bathroom was spotless and smelled of freshly cut lemons.
'I know it's not on the list. But, you might want to pick up the floor of the bedroom. One of those boys might come up here and investigate and you probably don't want them seeing any of our undergarments.' Inner pointed out as Sakura's green eyes landed on one of her racier bras that was tossed haphazardly onto the floor the last time she wore it.
Sakura's cheeks grew warm and she swiftly grabbed all of the items she could find and stuffed them on the bottom of her laundry basket and then placed that into her closet. There was no way one of those hooligans were going to find out her bra size or anything else today, or any other day for that matter.
She ran the vacuum cleaner around the carpet of the whole upstairs making her way down. The blossom beauty swept the kitchen and wiped down all the counters and tables.
Next she tackled the living room straightening the cushions, dusting off pictures and pushing the vacuum. She finished the room by lighting a few candles that smelled like an island paradise.
'There we go. The house is clean and it's not even 3 o'clock, yet.' Sakura mused her viridian eyes glancing at the clock located on her mantle.
The girl decided she would text her girlfriends and ask them if they could help her pick something out. She knew Ino would always be up to dress her up.
Her feet padded up the stairs for the umpteenth time that day. She grasped her cellphone and selected all the girls for a group message. She relayed that the party was going to start at six and she wanted their input on what to wear. Pressing the send button, Sakura awaited their responses.
As expected, the first to answer was the buxom blonde Yamanaka. Ino's reply read that she would be there to help her "fashion challenged" best friend in less than twenty minutes.
Sakura chuckled imagining the pretty platinum-haired girl running in her strappy heels to her car and speeding off to the roseate's house.
The second to respond was the weapons lover, Tenten who said she and Temari would be there soon they were in the middle of choosing their own outfits for the evening.
Lastly, Hinata and Konan texted her at the same time saying they were at the Hyuuga residence and would be once they were done showering and dressed.
Sakura giggled and resumed her music. She danced around the living room as "Teen Idle" by Marina and the Diamonds flowed from her phone. The melody pouring out like the calming stream of creek.
'Why do you like this crap? It's made for people who lack friends and happiness.'
Mebuki stepped into the two bedroom house her green orbs settling onto a vision of pink. Her teenage daughter lost in the music that was currently playing on her cellphone.
The blonde mother coughed to alert Sakura of her presence. It was effective. The noise caused the petal haired beauty to stumble losing her balance. She crashed into the couch knocking off a couple of the cushions in the process.
Mebuki cackled as Sakura glared struggling to get up from the floor. She reached her hand out and pulled the junior up to her feet.
"Don't scare me like that, mom! I almost had a heart attack!" Sakura expressed as she placed the couch cushions back where they belong.
"Alright, Sakura. Next time I'll just push you over."
The pinkette rolled her emerald orbs sighing at her mother's jokes. She followed the middle-aged woman into the kitchen and helped her unpack the snacks that she bought for the fun-filled evening. Her mom had bought various foods and drinks that would hopefully satisfy the many guests.
Just as the two women had begun to set up for the party, the doorbell rang. Sakura rose and strolled over knowing exactly who it was. She opened the door to a grinning Ino Yamanaka who had several bags with her. Sakura briefly feared the voluptuous girl thought she was moving in.
"Your fairy godmother is here, Cinder-Saku. I am going to make you so hot the boys are going to be throwing themselves at you." She proclaimed flying into the house carrying in the multitude of bags.
'Shannaroo! Just what we want from them!' The alter-ego praised dreamily.
'Shut it. We don't want mom throwing them out of the house because they were getting too "frisky". Or, is that something you want?'
Inner gritted her teeth in annoyance. 'No. I guess you are right on this one. I want those hotties to stay all night long.'
Sakura smirked victoriously before following the Yamanaka girl into the house. If Inner Sakura thought she was going to win that argument she was sadly mistaken, the real Sakura is always smarter.
In the kitchen, Ino and Mebuki were conversing amicably about the several friends Sakura had made. Their main topic of choice being the boys, of course.
"Yeah, Forehead has turned a lot of heads in her first week." Ino stated slinging her makeup bag onto the granite counter top.
"Forehead?" Mebuki questioned raising an elegant brow.
"Her nickname for me. Pig seems to think my forehead is obnoxiously large." Sakura clarified sifting through the various creams and shadows the platinum-headed girl owned.
The mother nodded her head turning back to the pretty guest who hadn't seemed to notice the exchange between the two family members. Ino was now talking about the day Sakura had her first and second kiss.
"The whole school was in bustle because of the news. There were even a couple of guys who tried to steal it; however, her friends quickly stopped them all. In the end she chose the weirdest person."
'See, I am not the only one who thinks so.'
Sakura smacked the back of the teenager's head. "It was my best choice. You saw what happened after everyone found out I kissed Gaara next."
"Yeah, yeah, Billboard Brow. Whatever helps you sleep at night." Ino deadpanned with a roll of her baby blue eyes.
"It's true!" the cotton-candy haired goddess stressed as the doorbell rang.
"Un-hunh." Ino said. "Anyway, you should go get that."
Sakura sighed and walked to the front door slinging it open. Her face immediately broke out into a smile at who was standing there.
"Hey guys. I am so happy you are here. I am about to punch Ino so hard she will see stars."
The other girls snickered and stepped into the small but charming home. Hinata was the only one to thank the Haruno as she passed by. Sakura shut and locked the door just in case one of those losers showed up early.
Temari had struck a conversation with Mebuki and Ino the second her sandaled toes hit the marble floor of the kitchen. Tenten had also joined in introducing herself as she did so. Konan and Hinata bowed their heads, mumbling their greetings when there was a lull in the conversation.
Sakura grinned happily. It seemed that everything was going well. Her mom was enjoying the company of her female friends; but, then again, Sakura really wasn't too worried about her not liking the girls. No. The one's she is afraid for are her boys.
She feared her mother would find at least six or seven of them to be too rambunctious, loud or vulgar to allow them to hang out anymore. Which would be heartbreaking because as hard as it was to admit, she really did like them.
They all kept her on her toes and she could always count on them to bring a smile to her face. She also couldn't deny the fact that she had grown accustomed to and enjoyed the attention she received. It made her feel beautiful and confident.
"Well, it is so nice to see that Sakura has made so many charming friends." Her mother remarked. "Now, it's almost four, so if you want to get ready for tonight I might start now."
As if on cue Ino's blemish-free face blossomed into a look of horror. Her head whipped to Sakura and stared intensely before roughly grabbing her arm and yanking up the stairs to get to work.
"It was so nice to meet you Mrs. Haruno. Now, if you will excuse us we have to start getting ready."
The other four teenage girls followed the over-dramatic blonde. Hinata pushed the door closed behind them leaving Mebuki shaking her head with a smile on her face before turning to start cooking.
"Forehead. Go take a shower, right now. Make sure to shave and scrub every inch of yourself. Tonight might be the night you get some actual action."
The roseate flushed at the other girl's obvious suggestive comment; but, nonetheless, stalked over to her bathroom and locked the white door. She peeled off her pajamas and stepped into the shower. She lathered up her loofah and scrubbed her body feverishly.
Next, she grasped her shampoo and conditioner working them into her namesake colored tresses. She made sure to shave her legs and washed her face. She stepped out grabbed the closest fluffy towel and exited the bathroom.
Temari whistled when her teal eyes landed on Sakura and her lack of clothing. The four-ponied girl was currently trying to braid Tenten's long coffee locks.
Hinata was in the process of tying the back string of a sky blue spaghetti-strap dress. It flowed out and landed just above her knees. It had a single white flower under her breasts where a belt wrapped around. It was elegant, yet casual. It suited the shy Hyuuga perfectly.
Konan was already dressed in a royal top that hung off her thin shoulder and a pair of cream capris that had an intricate floral design on the seam. She was wearing light brown sandals on her feet.
"Wow, Konan you look incredible, and Hinata, I love that dress! Where on earth did you get it?" Sakura gushed at her blunette friends.
Konan smiled gently, her amber eyes sparkling from the compliment. Hinata's pale cheeks flushed a dull pink and she mumbled that she had bought it a thrift shop for only twenty-three dollars.
"Well, you certainly have better luck than I do with thrifting, Hina-chan. I never seem to find anything that even remotely intrigues me." Ino commented as she crossed the room to Sakura.
"Alright Billboard Brow, I think I have you an outfit that isn't completely atrocious. Go ahead and get dressed, I have all my makeup and hair supplies set up for the best makeover of your life."
The pink-haired fairy took the clothes that Ino had picked out and scooted to the corner of the room to change. Even if they were all girls and friends she didn't feel comfortable with her body on display, especially since she was positive every one of them were more blessed than she was.
'Yeah, that's the one thing about us that we could stand to have more of. Our chest is certainly lacking compared to most girls our age.' Inner added.
'You think I don't know that? But, I still feel like were decent, I mean all those boys have to like us for some reason,' She replied.
The obnoxious alter ego of Sakura declined to make another response; instead opting to vanish to wherever she enjoys hanging out. The pinkette pulled the top over her head and blushed. The fabric was a deep purple with black lace over it and it hung off her left shoulder. The top had been bought by her a few years back and Sakura had swiftly stuffed it into her closet afraid it showed too much skin.
The top hit just above her pelvic bone leaving a view of her toned hips because her dark-wash jeans were low-rise. They were hugged her curves and trailed down to her ankles where obsidian wedges met the end in a flirting fashion.
"Damn Forehead, you clean up well." The Yamanaka girl said with a wink. "I'd try to date you but there is way too much competition and I'm not into you."
Blood rushed to the apples of Sakura's cheeks. She rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly. The other girls turned to inspect their pretty rose-headed friend. Each giving their own praise of her attire, Tenten, of course joked about how the boys weren't going to be able to keep their "things" in their pants. Which only cause the innocent Hyuuga to burn red and sway as if she was about to faint.
"Tenten! You almost made Hina pass out from your vulgar comment."
"Whoops. Sorry Hinata."
"It's O-okay."
"Anyway, Forehead, come here so I can get started on your hair and makeup."
Sakura did as she was told and trudged over to her desk where the beauty supplies were set up. She sat down on the chair facing the pretty blonde as she plugged in the curling iron.
Ino turned around and grabbed the concealer and foundation that she assumed would match Sakura's skin tone. She dipped the brush into the foundation and applied it to Sakura's even skin. Next, she did the eye makeup, settling for a winged eye-liner look and a purple eyeshadow. Lastly, Ino pulled out a light pink lipstick to give Sakura's lips a darker color.
By the time her makeup was done, the curling iron was finished heating up. Ino pulled Sakura's short, soft petal colored tresses into a ponytail. She separated the strands into sections curling each one. To finalize the look, Ino ran a wide-toothed comb through them and spritzed hair spray to keep it in place.
"Alright, Sakura. I think you are ready." Ino smiled rushing to grab a mirror. "Tell me what you think."
Sakura's green eyes traced her face a grin spreading over her lips. She looked magnificent. Her eyes were sultry and teasing but her lips gave her a demure yet balancing look. She was the perfect combination of sexy and sweet.
'Shannaroo! We look so hot were practically on fire.'
"Thank you, Ino. I have never looked so good, please tell me you'll do my makeup and hair for my wedding."
"Of course I will! Speaking of wedding who're you gonna marry?" She queried with a rise of her perfectly plucked eyebrow.
Sakura blushed and shrugged her shoulders. "I haven't really gotten that far Ino. It's going to be several years away."
The pretty blonde wasn't satisfied with that answer so she decided she would give her input. "I think you should marry either Sasuke-kun or Neji. You'd be with a sexy man and you'd be set for life with all of their money."
"I vote for Naruto or Kiba." Tenten added. "They will be protective of you and would always strive to make you happy."
"I would say my brother just because I don't want you to ever leave my life," Temari shrugged as she painted her toenails a striking green.
Konan and Hinata looked at each other and the other girls who wanted to choose Sakura's future husband. The pinkette scowled at her friends fiercely.
"I will chose who I marry when the time is right." She huffed before slamming her bedroom door.
'Well, I must say, I agree with all of their choices.'
'I bet you do, but I will not let my future be determined by anyone but me.'
'Un-hunh, keep telling yourself that.'
Sakura sent a warning growl out as she stepped into the kitchen. Her mother was scurrying around a bump in her step as her music played. She was making homemade pigs 'n a blanket and mozzarella stuffed meatballs. Her long blonde hair was tied back at the base of her neck and she had her hideous yellow apron tied loosely around her waist.
"Anything I can help you with, mom?" Sakura questioned stepping into the kitchen.
Mebuki turned around to give her answer as her green eyes landed on her daughter. She ended up dropping the bowl of corn chips the porcelain shattering on the floor. Her hand came up to cover her mouth as her emerald orbs shone with unshed tears. Sakura looked beyond stunning, words could not describe her other worldly beauty.
"MOM! Are you okay?!" Sakura asked rushing to pick up the broken bowl from the ground.
"I-I am fine, sweetie. You look amazing," she complimented as she reached down to assist in the cleanup. "Your beauty blinded me."
The roseate grinned the corner of her eyes pricking. "Do I really?"
"Yes, but please don't cry, you'll cause your mascara to run." Mebuki joked a smile breaking out over her face.
Sakura chuckled and nodded her head. She helped her mom off the floor and grabbed a broom to ensure all of the shards had been swept up and thrown away. The last thing she would need is for someone to cut themselves and her be at fault.
Once the bowl and chips had been taken care of, Sakura turned back to her mom with a smile. "Now, would you like some help?"
Mebuki's emerald eyes flickered to the table. "I could use some help prepping the table for the guests. Everything else is almost complete."
"I can do that."
The Haruno teen skipped to the linen closet to grab their nicest tablecloth. She tossed the lacy white cloth onto the table then crossed to the china cabinet to gather their nicest serving dishes and silverware.
She went back to the kitchen and then helped Mebuki plate the food for the party. The two Haruno's completed with everything at six forty-five. The guests would be arriving in a little over an hour.
"Alright mom. I think we done about all we can. I would go get ready now if I were you."
Mebuki nodded her head, her short blonde locks dancing at her shoulders. "I guess you're right. I will be back in a few."
With that the older woman vanished into her room to shower and get dressed for the excitement filled evening. This left Sakura to be alone with her thoughts.
'I really hope tonight goes well. Some of those boys might get on my nerves but I have gotten used to them being in my life. I want mom to like them too.'
'If she doesn't we could always run away with them. Have our own personal reverse harem like those anime. We'd beat that one girl with all the step-brothers.'
'First off, running away is not the answer. Secondly, the boys at our school are nothing like the Asahina brother's from "Brother's Conflict".
'Whatever. I know you'll probably continued to be friends with and care for them even if mom doesn't like them.'
'You're probably right about that, but, maybe we won't have that issue. Under the crazy brashness are some real sweethearts.'
During her conversation with her inner self, Sakura's girl friends had come to join her downstairs. All of them looking beautiful.
"W-wow. Your mom is a r-really good c-cook, Sakura-chan." Hinata mumbled her pearl eyes moving over the large amount of food littered around the table and counters.
"Yeah. This looks wonderful! I can't wait to dig in." Temari chipped in with an approving grin.
"I am sure she'll be thrilled to hear your thoughts. Mom loves compliments." Sakura said with a pretty smile.
"Well, forehead. The food looks great and the house looks nice but where is the music and stuff. We need a good playlist to set the mood. I'm thinking smooth and sexy."
Sakura crinkled her nose in disgust. "No thanks. We're going with music we can actually dance to." She said as she dashed upstairs to get her phone.
She unlocked it to several texts from Naruto talking about random things like how he was excited for tonight and how annoying Sasuke was being making him wear something other than ripped jeans. Of course, the knucklehead didn't call the Uchiha by his first name instead opting for his signature nickname.
There were a few more texts from some of the other guys about how they couldn't wait to see her and meet her mom. Each one was planning on leaving the Haruno mother with good impressions.
Sakura shook her head and sighed at the craziness of it all. She wasn't sure if those texts were supposed to help or heighten her nerves. She assumed it was to make her less nervous but all it did was make her question her judgement of letting them know about the party.
Nevertheless, it was too late to tell them not to come now. Besides, her mom was expecting to meet the twenty-plus males who fancied her.
She reached the living room and plugged her phone into the speakers and pressed play for a song she felt would get her in the mood. The vocals of Kat Graham filled the room. The song was "Sassy" and it made Sakura feel confident every time she listened it.
Ino began dancing instantly the song being her theme. The other girls started bopping to the lyrics a few moments later. They weren't expecting something so dance worthy from the pinkette.
Mebuki came out of her room to the vision of six girls dancing in the living room with elation painted on their pretty faces. She couldn't contain her smile from the obvious joy. She clapped when the song finished and each one of the girls turned to her.
"You were wonderful ladies. Please, teach me how you dance."
"Mrs. Haruno, you look beautiful," Ino complimented her blue eyes meeting the green ones of the middle aged woman.
"Oh. Thank you, Ino. However, you can call me Mebuki." The blonde woman thanked.
"Yeah, mom. You look great." Sakura said as she eyed her mom's choice of outfit.
She was wearing a mint green, tank-top dress that ended at her knees and had little white swirls all around. On her feet were plain sandals and she had a little clip in her hair to pull back her bangs. Her makeup was plain with a little powder and light pink lipstick.
"Thank you, sweetie. Now. It's almost eight we should have guests arriving at any moment."
As if on cue, the doorbell rang signaling the arrival of the first wave of boys. Sakura straightened her back and went to the door throwing open with zest.
'Shanaroo! Starting off good!'
Her jade orbs landed on three boys giving each one a warning glance. Especially one who had a habit of being destructive and hyper. However, she doesn't think they were paying attention as each one had their eyes glued to her form awestruck.
"Hey, guys. Come on in." She said opening the front door farther for them to walk in. The three teenagers stepped but patiently waited for Sakura introduce them.
"Mom, this is Naruto Uzumaki, and Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha." She stated gesturing to the trio of handsome boys. "Guys, this is my mother, Mebuki Haruno."
"Hi, there, Mrs. Haruno. I am Naruto and one day I'm going to be the Hokage of Konoha." The exuberant Uzumaki proclaimed shaking hands.
"Dobe, you're gonna get us thrown out before the party even starts if you keep being so annoying." Sasuke scolded with a glare to his best friend. "I'm sorry, Mrs. Haruno, he doesn't quite understand social ques. Anyways, I am Sasuke Uchiha."
'WOW! That is the most I've EVER heard him say at once. Tonight is already a win!'
"And, I am Sasuke's older brother Itachi. It is a pleasure to meet the beautiful woman that raised such a wonderful girl as Sakura." The older Uchiha vocalize bringing Mebuki's right hand to his lips.
The blonde Haruno smiled at each of the boys. "It's so nice to meet all of you. Sakura has told me so much about you all."
The roseate flushed a dark red. "MOM! Don't fuel their egos!" she exclaimed in indignation.
'It's kinda true, though.' Inner cackled at her outer's expense.
'You stay out of this!'
Before Sakura could say anymore, the doorbell rang once again and she begrudgingly stalked to the door and opened it for more of her friends. She was hoping they would come in little waves of like three or four people, however, Kami had other plans.
She blanched as her viridian irises skimmed over all of the boys who had yet to show up and she couldn't hold in the groan that escaped.
"DAMN! You look so fucking hot, Cotton Candy!" Hidan shouted his amethyst eyes blatantly checking her out.
"HIDAN! Don't make me kick your ass out!" Sakura growled her bubblegum strands floating around her as her eyes were aflame.
"Hot damn, woman. I will stop cursing but I might not be able to keep my hands off you." He agreed his arm reaching toward the pinkette before it was caught.
"Don't touch hime," Pein warned turning to face the Jashinist. "Now, I'm am very sorry Sakura. He won't be like that anymore. Will you please give us another chance?"
The short junior nodded her head, "yeah. Let's go, I want you all to meet my mom."
The boys nodded their heads signaling that they would be on their best behavior from then on. Sakura opened the door wider and stepped aside for the several young men to step within her living room. Sakura closed the door behind her and glided over to her mom to begin introducing the gentlemen.
Each one of the boys either bowed, shook hands with or kissed the hand of Mebuki giving her compliments after their introduction. They all were hoping to make a lasting good impression for the petal-haired girl's mother.
After the introductions, Mebuki smiled brightly and said, "Well it so nice to meet all of you. Now, are you all hungry?"
Everyone nodded their heads and followed the blonde woman into the dining room where there was a large assortment of snacks of all kinds. They were mouthwateringly delicious to look at and even better to eat.
As each of the guests began to pile to food onto their plate, Mebuki watched her daughter's beautiful green eyes flit over the boys as the passed her and blissful smile on her face. That was until it turned into a grin after the loud mask-wearer named Tobi hugged her tight enough that she couldn't breathe.
"Blossom-chan looks pretty as always. Tobi loves Cherry-chan! Tobi is a good boy!" he proclaimed holding her tighter.
'MY EARS ARE BLEEDING! SHANAROO!' Inner screeched.
"I love you too, Tobi. Can you let go of me before I pass out though?" Sakura begged grasping for air.
The exuberant Akatsuki member furiously nodded his head and let go of her. She swayed as air flooded back into her lungs and Kimimaro steadied her. She thanked the white-haired boy and turned to face Tobi. She placed a kiss on his mask.
"Next time, don't squeeze so hard." She scolded with a wink.
Tobi shouted that he was a good boy and then ran away to bother someone else. The pinkette turned back around to Kimimaro her emerald irises staring into his forest ones.
"After we eat, how would you like to dance? To thank you for keeping me upright," she asked a raised eyebrow and hopeful look painted on her face.
Kimimaro gave her a small smile. "Of course Hime, I would be honored to dance with you." He then grabbed a plate to get his food. Sakura followed his lead oblivious to the jealous looks the other guys were giving her and Kimimaro.
"Will you be dancing with all of us, Pinky?" Kisame queried leaning his face to hers. "Because it just wouldn't be fair."
"Of course, Fishsticks. I will be saving a dance for everyone." She whipped back to the snacks crowding her plate, she was gonna a lot of energy to deal with everyone.
Sakura walked into the living room and took a seat next to Gaara and Neji. The roseate gave each boy a heart-stopping smile then proceeded to dig in. She occasionally did a little dance as her never-ending list of songs cycled through the house.
All of the boys were staring awestruck by the rose-headed beauty. These enamored looks didn't go unnoticed by Mebuki who knew that the boys weren't just after to Sakura to get in her pants. They truly cared about her. Right then and there, every single one of the boys gained her approval, even if most were a little crazy.
'COME ON! LET'S START THE ACTION!'
About ten minutes later, Sakura had finished and strutted up to Kimimaro who had just thrown his paper plate into the trash. Her hand was extended in a silent question. Kimimaro grasped her hand firmly and the pair strolled to the center of the living room.
He placed his left hand on her lower back and the other head her left. Sakura put her right hand onto his muscular shoulder and they began to dance to "Bind Your Love" by Cher Lloyd.
Stepping to the melody Sakura couldn't keep the elation off of her face. Kimimaro was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He treated her with the utmost respect and would never make her feel uncomfortable because of his attraction. It filled Sakura with pure joy.
"You're an exquisite dancer, Princess."
"You are not so bad yourself, Kimi-kun."
After the song ended, the couple pulled apart and the bubblegum-haired girl looked for someone else to dance with. It was going on 8:30 and it was supposed to end around 10:00. She had almost twenty boys to dance with.
She moved to Kakazu and danced with him to "Maps" by Maroon 5. Well, it more like she made him place his hands on hips as she raised her arms and swirled to the beat. He eventually began to bop the music to but the song was almost over by the time he joined.
"Finally you decide to enjoy yourself." She teased sticking her tongue out.
The money-lover grunted, "yes because dancing is so much fun."
Sakura chuckled shaking her curls. "Well, it can be if you let yourself."
"I'll remember that next time." He mumbled twirling one curl before turning around leaving Sakura with a light blush on her cheeks.
Clearing her head, the Haruno teen gave the room a once over choosing her next victim. However, her dance partner walked right up her instead a smirk on his tan face.
"Sakura, I didn't get to tell you how beautiful you looked today. Would you like to dance?" he asked his canine-like eyes staring into her doll-like ones.
"Of course, Kiba. I would love to dance with you." She said wrapping her arms around his neck. The moved gently to Ariana Grande's, "One Last Time". Her spun her around and leaned his forehead onto hers.
"You really do look amazing, Sakura." He whispered his breath fanning over her lips.
'KISS HIM! IF YOU DON'T KISS HIM RIGHT NOW, YOU'LL NEVER HEAR THE END OF IT!'
'Go away. Can't you just leave me alone for one night?!'
'No way, honey! You need me!'
Sakura promptly ignore her other self and flushed darkly remembering that Kiba was a millimeter away from kissing her. Thankfully, the song ended just as he closed his eyes. She quickly thanked him for the dance and extracted herself to find someone else.
Kiba watched her as she left his brown eyes burning from their chemistry. A second later a very angry Naruto stepped in his view of the blossom.
Sakura's jade orbs Zetsu and smiled. The dual-toned man stared at her for a second before extending his hand before she could ask him to dance. A grin spread across her face as he pulled her close and dipped her. The danced to "PillowTalk" by Zayn.
The song ended before she knew it, and Sakura went in search for a new date. But not before placing a kiss on the boy's cheek and thanking him for the dance. Despite his looks Zetsu was one of the nicest guys that she had met in Konoha.
The next song to play, Sakura decided not to grab a male, opting for her girlfriends instead. It was "Bad Dog" by Neon Hitch. She didn't want any of the boys getting too frisky, especially with her mom staring right at her.
Mebuki's green eyes watched her only daughter as she danced with her many suitors. She loved seeing the happiness that was always present on Sakura's face. The older woman engaged in small talk with a couple of the boys but never looked away from her daughter.
Sakura swiveled her hips along with Ino holding the blonde's hands. The other girls danced too, although Hinata more or less swayed to the sensual song. The pinkette couldn't help throwing her head back as she belted out the lyrics.
The boys stared at the beauty hoping she would choose them to dance with them next especially since it was nearing 9 o'clock and they only had an hour before her party would be over.
The song ended leaving Sakura breathless and in need of a drink of water. She moved to the kitchen to grab a glass and filled it with some ice water. The refreshing liquid soothed her parched throat. It also gave her a second to catch her breath.
"Wanna share, sugar?" Suigetsu flirted leaning his nose into her coral mane.
Sakura's cheeks burned and was left unable to think. Before she could come up with any response, the purple-eyed boy grinned and dragged her to dance. The stepped to "I Like it Loud" by Cash Cash. She giggled as he sang with her spinning her every few lines or so.
Hidan stepped up to her the second the song ended and pulled her towards him. "This dance is mine, sexy."
He placed his hands on her hips and pulled her flush against her toned chest leaving Sakura with no choice but to wrap her arms around his neck and stare into his amethyst eyes. They rocked their bodies to Jeremiah's "Don't Tell 'Em".
"I already told you before, but you look wonderful today, Sakura." The Jashinist complimented sincerity in his irises.
'HELL YES! He is so fucking hot!' the loud alter-ego cheered as she anticipated a searing kiss.
This caused Sakura to blush, he actually told her she looked nice in a non-vulgar way. It made her heart skip a few beats. "T-thank you, Hidan. That was the nicest thing you've ever said to me."
"Don't get used to it, sexy. It isn't natural for me." Hidan mumbled spinning her around.
The junior beamed, "I know that, but I like you just the way you are even with your obscenities." The ivory-headed male smirked in response as they concluded their song.
The Haruno whipped around to meet the sea-foam eyes of Subaku no Gaara who had a sheepish look on his face. He had his hand extended, "may I have this dance?"
"Yes, Gaara-kun. I would love to dance with you." Sakura answered as the red-head pulled her close and swayed around the living room.
The song playing was "All About Us" by the talented Jordan Fisher. She laid her head onto his shoulder, her nose buried in the crook of his neck. He smelled of sandalwood and the ocean an odd but interesting mix.
Gaara smiled softly at the angel in his arms. He knew it would only last until the end of the song but he really wished she wouldn't ever leave his side. But, the competition for her was stiff and there was a room full of boys who all thought the same thing.
The next song started to play and Deidara approached the duo. "I think it's my turn, un."
The tattooed boy stepped away from the pinkette, "thank you for the dance, Sakura." Said girl smiled, "no, thank you, you're a great dancer Gaara."
Sakura's eyes met the sea-blue ones of Deidara's as he took her hand. He put his hands on her hands as she rocked to the beat of "Commander" by Kelly Rowland. Her eyes never left as she placed her hands on his chest moving them up until she was cupping his face.
"If you don't want me to kiss you, I would stop right now, yeah." He growled warningly.
Sakura felt a bolt of confidence rush into her being a part of her really wanted to kiss him. She breathed as the blondes face inched closer to her own.
'HAHAHA! I always knew you wanted the same things I did!'
Deidara cupped her angelic face and just as lips were about to claim hers, the song ended and Itachi grabbed his shirt and yanked him away from Sakura glaring at his fiercely enough to set him on fire. "Someone else should get to dance with Sakura."
The roseate's face was the color of a tomato as blood rushed into her cheeks. Nervously, she glanced around the room and blanched at all the burning gazes that were set on her. She almost let Deidara kiss her, she wanted him too. Kami what was happening to her?!
As she flitted around the room, her orbs met Itachi's which were ablaze. He stalked up to her and asked, or more like demanded, that she dance with him. Shaking her head yes, the pair glided around the living room to Lee Brice's "I Don't Dance".
"Are you okay, Itachi?" she asked as the coal-haired senior had unidentifiable look on his face. A look that gave her chills.
"I just don't like seeing you with someone else. Although that's impossible since you have so many suitors." He sighed spinning her quickly and then dipping her. "It brings out my jealous side."
Electricity jolted through Sakura as she blushed. "I am glad you were honest, but I am not looking for a boyfriend anyway."
The older Uchiha shook his head yes. "I know that and I want you to know I will never pressure you into anything."
The cherry blossom felt as though she couldn't breathe. When the song ended she removed herself from Itachi and went over to her mother to calm her racing pulse. Her heart was felt ringing in her ears.
Mebuki smiled at her daughter and excused herself from Naruto who was practically talking her ear off, in an endearing way. The Haruno's went into the kitchen to talk for a few moments.
"So, you weren't kidding when you said you had so many boyfriends."
"MOM! They are not my boyfriends! We just have some complicated feelings."
"I saw. You sure know how to rile them up in more ways than one." Mebuki teased with a wink. "I wish I was that confident when I was in the flirting stages with your dad."
"Is it bad? Are you disappointed in me?" Sakura questioned her face downcast.
"SAKURA HARUNO! What makes you think I would be disappointed in you? You are a beautiful charming young woman who has been tossed into the hell of hormones and you're actually doing very well. There are some pretty handsome boys out there, it'd be hard for your mom to hold off, let alone 20."
'Who knew, mom was such a pervert?'
'She's not a pervert. She's only joking, right?'
Sakura's face erupted into a vision of red after her mom made such suggestive comment. "MOM! That's gross you're like twice their age!" she groaned.
The blonde woman snickered at her daughter. "Don't worry, honey. They're all yours, now go finish your night with a bang."
Sakura grinned and nodded exiting the kitchen to join her friends in the living room. They were in the process of getting down to "House Party" by Sam Hunt. The song finished and another romantic song came on.
She walked up to her new partner and asked him to dance. The lazy genius took her outstretched hand and got off the couch. They bopped to Andy Grammer's "Honey, I'm Good." Although Shikamaru was half asleep for the majority of the song.
It wasn't until the rose-haired leaned in and kissed his cheek did the Nara actually wake up. His sharp eyes boring into her own.
"Can't have you falling asleep while we dance, now can I?" she winked.
Shikamaru shook his head smirking. "No, I guess not."
The song finished and both said their goodbyes as Sakura continued her search she was going to conclude all of her dances. She has danced with ten boys already, eight more to go. Lee, Chouji and Shino never showed so it really is only the ones that were attracted to her.
Her viridian irises landed on Naruto who was pouting since he hadn't had the chance to dance with her yet. Sakura sashayed up to the tanned ball of sunshine his chipper grin returning.
"Is it my turn, Sakura-chan?"
"Yes, Naruto. I want you to dance with me to "Talking Body."
The future Hokage grabbed her hand and smashed her body to his. The couple jammed out to the song by Tove Lo moving their bodies against one another. He placed a kiss on the corner of her lips as his cerulean orbs burned into her emeralds.
Naruto opened his mouth to say something but the song ended and Sakura was asked to dance by Kisame.
"Time for me, Shorty. I have been waiting forever." He said dipping her as the next song started.
It was "All to Myself" by Marianas Trench and fit the all the boys and it was pretty much an ode to jealousy.
"Funny. The song I get to dance with you to is exactly how I am feeling. I wish you were all mine, however, I know that is your choice."
"And I am not choosing anyone right now. I like you all and want to keep you in my life."
"Good because I might just kill the person you choose if it isn't me." He joked with a smirk.
"Might just have to choose you won't I?" she bantered sticking out her tongue playfully. Kisame chuckled and the two finished their dance.
"Well, can't wait until next time, Pinky."
"Yeah, you too, Sushi."
Sakura stepped over to Tobi and Kankuro and began to dance to the next song. The two boys joined in and took turns spinning the pinkette to "New Thang" by Redfoo.
"You have pretty good taste in music, Sakura." Kankuro complimented.
"I guess most people think my tastes are all over the place. I mean it's true but I can't help liking what I like." She shrugged.
'I mean we are all over the place: rock, pop, country, and ext.'
"Nothing wrong with that, right Tobi?"
"MHMM! SAKU-CHAN HAS GOOD MUSIC! TOBI IS A GOOD BOY!"
"Thanks guys. Gotta go though I have a couple more boys to dance with before I wrap up the night."
Sakura left and her eyes landed on the puppet-master whose caramel eyes were staring back at her. She strolled up to him and asked him to dance.
"I would be honored, Sakura. I was wondering if I would ever get to dance with you."
"Of course, Sasori. I was just saving my favorites for last." She pronounced with a smile.
The song that came on was "Halo" by Starset and the two began to sway to the music.
"Am I really one of your favorites?" He asked quietly.
"Yes and no. If I had favorites then you would be in that list. However, to avoid hurting anyone's feelings I don't have favorites." She explained.
Sasori stared blankly at the girl. He was more confused now than he ever had been. She lost him at 'yes and no'. But, nonetheless, he nodded that he understood.
"Glad you get it, Sasori. I hate to cut this dance short though, however, I need to get to everyone else." She said after the song was over.
"Okay. Thank you for the dance, Sakura."
"And thank you, Mr. Sasori. Hopefully we'll get to dance once again."
With that the roseate landed on the last Akatsuki member she had to dance with. The infamous leader, Pein whose ringed periwinkle eyes were burning a hole into her face. She sauntered up to him to ask him to ask, but he was already up dragging her to the floor.
"It is about time, Hime. I was having a hard time not grabbing you earlier, but I knew you'd come soon enough."
"Wow, pretty cocky aren't you?" she rolled her eyes.
The orange-haired man shrugged his shoulders. "I can be when I want. Anyways, let's dance."
Sakura giggled as he laid his forehead onto her own and wrapped his arms around her back as if hugging her. He pressed his warm lips onto her bare shoulder and inhaled her scent. Sakura felt like she was about to faint; the only thing keeping her upright was the tightness of Pein's hold as they dance to "I Really Like You" by Carly Rae Jepsen.
The song really spoke to her as she was attracted to all of her boys and cared about them, but she was sure she wasn't in love with them. At least not yet. That might change as the year progresses.
"I can speak for all of the boys here. We all want you to want us and I feel like you do, you just don't really understand your feelings so you try to bury them. Don't worry, none of us are going anywhere without you at least choosing someone."
Sakura's heart stopped beating as Pein voiced her own thoughts. She was confused and a little scared she had never had a real boyfriend and suddenly so many boys like her. It was a little unnerving but she wanted to keep them. They had become some of her best friends in the week she had known them.
The song stopped and Sakura turned away mumbling a thank you to go dance with the last two people on her list. It was scary her uncertain feelings and that Pein knew about them.
Neji was her next victim. They stepped to the beat of "Drag Me Down" by One Direction. He spun and and dipped her each time they said "down".
The Hyuuga saw the horror in her orbs after she talked to Akatsuki leader and he just wanted to ease whatever she may be feeling. Sakura was always beautiful but more so when she was beaming with happiness. It would be bonus if it was him to bring that grin out.
Sakura smiled at him because she knew he was trying to lift her nerves. She was enjoying the adorable action and thought he deserved something for wanting to make her herself again. So, toward the end of the song Sakura felt a wave of courage course through body and she looked into the pale white eyes of Hyuuga Neji.
The coffee-haired junior gave her a questioning a look before it turned into bewilderment after Sakura wrapped her arms around his neck and stood on her tiptoes. She crashed her lips onto his own. A moment later Neji began to kiss her back.
'YES! This is what I am talking about! I have been waiting all night for this!'
It was inner Sakura's comment that made Sakura pull away and the fact that the song was over. They stepped away from each other and the Haruno teen instantly regretted her action because every single one of the boys were trying to melt Neji. The others were giving Sakura hurt looks like she cheated on them.
"You go, Forehead!"
"Get it girl!"
"Nothing wrong with a little action."
Sakura buried her head in hands. She pretty much made out with Neji Hyuuga as the other boys watched. She just wished the floor would swallow her whole. A moment later Sakura looked up and her eyes landed on the only boy she had yet to dance with.
Sasuke's black eyes were trained onto the floor an unreadable look on his face. She sighed and walked over to him, praying that he wouldn't kill her. She stood in front of the younger Uchiha.
"Sasuke-kun?"
The duck-tailed boy looked up with a look that made Sakura cower. His dagger-like glare was directed toward her. Sasuke didn't say anything just glowered at her.
"Fine. If you don't want to dance whatever." She stated spinning to leave.
Sasuke grabbed her arm and tugged her to him just as the next song started to float around the room. They swayed back and forth in a tight embrace.
"What made you change your mind?"
"This song…" he mumbled as the words sounded. It was "You and I" by Pvris.
Sakura blushed slightly. She didn't take Sasuke to be a fan of romance music, but perhaps it because he was thinking of her? Sakura shook her head though her flush deepening; she shouldn't be thinking like that it'll only make her heart race more.
The duo held one another until the final beats of the song before moving away. The last song to play had Sakura rushing back to her girlfriends to conclude the evening with some good old girl power. Fifth Harmony filled the living room as "Worth It" was blasted at full volume.
Sakura was teaching the shy Hyuuga to let loose to the song. Soon everyone was jamming to the song. It was a great ending to a wonderful night, although it ended quicker than Sakura had hoped.
After the last song, everybody helped clean up the house since they knew it would leave a lasting impression on the Haruno mother.
Once the living room and kitchen were cleaned it had hit 10 o'clock and Sakura said goodbye to her guests. Each one of the boys complimented her mother on her hospitality and told Sakura that they would see her at school.
Sakura closed the front door leaving the two women alone. The younger Haruno finally felt like she could breathe. She turned to face her mother a hopeful question on her pretty face.
"So? What did you think?"
Mebuki laughed. "Well you have some very lively friends honey and I am glad you have them. They all seem to genuinely like you for you."
"Do you approve?"
'Please say yes!'
"Yes, sweetie. I do approve of them all. They made the evening unforgettable not to mention they are all so handsome."
'See, I am not alone in my thoughts.' Inner gloated as if it were news that the boys who fancied her were attractive.
"I care about them a lot, but I feel some of them might get hurt if I start to really fall for one." She voiced concern laced through the words.
"That is another bridge to cross some other time. You just met them a little over a week ago. Don't stress yourself out too soon. Anyway, if the truly care about you they will want you to be happy even if you aren't in love with them." Mebuki assured squeezing her daughter tightly.
"Now, today has been very hectic and I think you should go upstairs and take a nice long shower and crawl into bed."
"Okay, mom." The bubblegum pixie yawned trudging up the stairs to her bedroom. "Love you, goodnight."
"Goodnight. Love you too." The Haruno mother called from the bottom of the stairs.
Her green eyes watched Sakura close her door and she sighed walking to her own room. She was truthful about liking all of her daughter's suitors they just seemed to be too jealous of one another and she was afraid that might end up hurting Sakura. She can only hope that they realize it is Sakura's decision and they shouldn't guilt her into changing her mind.
Upstairs, Sakura is having a similar war in her head. However, decides to follow her mom's advice and gets ready for bed. That night, she dreams of all of her future adventures with her band of friends.
A/N: So? How was it? Worth the wait? I know it was somewhat rushed I just really wanted to get it out to you all. I have been working on this chapter since June. I just had a lot going on. I had no internet shortly after I started this chapter that didn't get turned on until late July. Then I had to drop out of school for a semester since I couldn't convince myself to go. Then I got a promotion it has just been a lot and I couldn't find time to write. Or I would only write a couple of sentences and then quit. However, I completed it today. Thank you all for being so patient and I hoped you liked it. I know it was also repetitive I just don't really know how to write dances. Anyways, please comment, favorite and follow. The more comments I get the earlier I will update. Thank you again and I will talk to y'all later.
