Alec gasped.
He couldn't believe what he was seeing right now. Magnus and him stood in the middle of a long wooden walkway a couple feet above the ocean looking straight ahead at a small, completely open, hut. White sheer curtains were used as walls and they waved gently in the light breeze. Palm trees grew all around the small jut of land, a hammock hung in the group of them off to the right. It screamed relaxation and privacy.
"Magnus... what," Alec said as he walked forwards, getting a better look at his surroundings. There were other huts around them, farther away, jutting out into the ocean in there own private spaces as well, but he couldn't make out any movements in them. Without any doubt these places were probably outrageously expensive, which meant no one but a fancy Warlock could afford them.
Magnus held open the sheer curtain and bowed. "After you."
Alec couldn't help the tingle in his stomach at the look Magnus kept giving him, his cat eyes piercing, watching Alec with every fiber of his being.
Inside the hut was even more beautiful – everything was a soft silk white, the complete opposite of Magnus' rain-bowed coloured condo. A long sofa sat in the middle of the room with a small table and some flowers and candles, it was simple. Alec liked simple.
Gently he felt a soft hand wrap around his own and lead him towards some thicker lined curtains, these ones not see-through obviously for privacy.
It was the bedroom. And from the look of it the housekeepers went all out – red satin sheets were on the bed with two dove shaped chocolates sitting gracefully on the pillows. The curtains that surrounded the room were dark, cutting off the outside light and letting the room be filled by the soft flickering flames of candles. Alec suddenly felt very dazed and slightly confused, yet oddly aroused by it all. There had to be something he was missing.
"What is this?" Alec asked. "This is extremely intimate... what's the occasion?"
"Must there be an occasion to feel the need to pamper the love of my life?"
"With you – there's always an occasion."
Magnus smiled. "Indeed, but it will have to wait till later. Right now I think it's a little too hot to be wearing so much black, don't you?" A spark went off in his cat like eyes and he stepped closer to Alec. Alec felt as if the space between them created pressure and the closer Magnus got, the harder the pressure pushed against him – making it hard to breathe. Even after all these years, Magnus still knew how to make Alec fumble and stutter like a complete idiot from doing nothing at all. The slightest eye movement or shift of the body usually had him in tangles of emotions all battling up on the inside. In times like those he had finally learned to keep his mouth shut, for nothing good had ever came out when he tried to speak.
Instead – he reacts.
Capturing Magnus' lips easily in a kiss and it's as if every kiss is the first. Except this one feels slightly different, like theres a hidden promise, a deeper connection, a question. But Alec doesn't know the answer – so he searches, letting his hands run up the Warlocks lean arms, memorizing every bump, dip and mark on his skin. Though Magnus is extremely picky about making sure to be properly moisturized his skin was always flawless and perfectly taken care of, there were hardly ever any marks. Alec could only imagine the chaos he would unleash on the world if he woke one morning to a blemish – a single zit would probably destroy the world.
Pulling back to get a breath of fresh air, Alec couldn't help but moan as Magnus found the sensitive skin under his jaw, kissing, licking and biting at it gently. Alec knew he would leave a mark, but with butterflies wild in his stomach and clouds in his mind, he didn't care. The worry left as quickly as it came and he leaned into the touch. He wanted this. Angels knew how much he wanted this – to feel Magnus underneath him, his skin slick with sweat. It was all he had been thinking about for months.
"Magnus..." the name felt so good to say. It always has. Like saying it came naturally, as if it he was meant to say it all the time, every day, for the rest of his life.
"Shh," Magnus whispered against the vein in is neck. He hooked his hands onto Alec's hips and pulled him closer, his jeweled fingers sliding easily under the back of Alec's shirt to the dip at the end of his spine. Alec's whole body tingled.
"Be alive with me tonight," Magnus said, his voice delicate and airy. It was almost too easy for Alec to give in and allow himself to be pulled over to the bed - to fall onto it with open arms and be completely submersed, drowning in nothing but Magnus.
The sun was just beginning to set when Alec got out of bed and slipped his jeans on. Magnus was already up and about – Alec could hear him behind the curtains, frantically rustling around and talking on the phone. Alec didn't want to disturb him if it was important, so he slipped out of one of the back curtains and into the evening air.
It was quiet, the only sound being the therapeutic swooshing of the waves against shore and Alec found himself heading over towards the small cliff to the left side. The land ended and slowly sloped into some sand where Alec stood ankle deep in the ocean, the water warm. He watched everything and nothing, engulfed in the peace he felt. Magnus' and his relationship had started out rocky, and for a while he was worried that they would never get past the awkward stage, or that Magnus would get bored of him and leave. Both worries seemed silly to him now for he and Magnus had grown so close that no one could separate them from each other. Alec felt as if their souls had slowly become bound together and nothing in the world could ever possibly de-tangle them. It was a reassuring feeling.
Couching, Alec ran his hands through the water. He had always loved the ocean.
"There you are," Magnus' voice came from behind him. "I didn't know you were up, I didn't hear you."
Alec smiled at Magnus' slightly disheveled hair. "I heard you on the phone, I figured I wouldn't interrupt in case it was top secret warlock business."
Magnus came to stand beside him by the water. "Even if it was top secret, I wouldn't be able to hold my tongue around you, Alexander. You have a way of pulling every once of information out of me without trying."
Alec grinned his toothy smile, obviously proud. "It's a talent."
"And you do have many of those, if I might add."
Alec felt the blood rush to his face and he stammered slightly, unsure what to say. What happened moments before had definitely been his first time in that situation, he still wasn't sure if he made a good impression. Magnus took his hand and kissed the back of it, smiling. In the moon light, Alec noticed that Magnus looked truly happy, more happy then he had ever seen him. His eye shined with something pure and all the muscles in his body seemed to be completely loose, free of any tension. (Obviously that had something to do with Alec's many 'talents' as well.)
"What?" Magnus asked, snapping Alec out of his small day dream. He hadn't known he'd been staring.
"Nothing," Alec replied, squeezing Magnus' hand. "I just realized how at peace you look, happy, relaxed. I haven't seen it before."
"Surely you have. I'm ecstatic all of the time, you should know this."
Alec shook his head. "No, this is different. I know you and usually it's for show – but this... it's not forced this time." Alec touched the soft skin of Magnus' cheek. "You truly look happy."
Magnus leaned his face into Alec's caress and closed his eyes. "Of course I do, Alexander. I have you. You've opened me up in ways I haven't felt in decades. You've unlocked something in me that I had thought Id lost forever." He opened his eyes and looked up into the blue he adored. "I will always be happy with you by my side no matter what. And I would love to have you by my side for a very long time."
Alec smiled, his eyes softening and leaned forward to press a kiss to Magnus' forehead, then one on he tip of his nose. "I don't plan on leaving anytime soon."
"Good." Magnus said and entwined their fingers – pulling him towards the hammock over in the palm trees. "Now come with me – if everything goes according to plan, there will be an occasion for this pampering."
