Sarah watched as Sam and Mikaela played with Annabelle in the rec room. It was an effort not to run as soon as she had heard the C-17's land. But she didn't want Annabelle to know that something was happening. Plus in her condition she did not want to add more stress to her body. She was well aware that in moments she would have answers, answers that could change her life.

"Sarah" called out Ironhide softly, drawling the pregnant woman's attention to him.

"How is he?" she demanded.

Ironhide sighed, "I'm not going to lie to you Sarah. Will's in very bad shape. Ratchets doing everything in his power to make him stable. But the Decepticons did a number on him. Sarah, he might not make it."

"I want to see him" demanded Sarah, tears streaming down her face, "I have to see him."

Even though Ironhide knew it was probably a bad idea to show Sarah the condition Will was in, in her condition. He could not bring himself to stop her from seeing him. Not when Will's condition was still critical. Despite Ratchet's skill, it was still possible that they would lose Will. He would not be the one to deny Sarah from seeing her husband, if that terrible possibility came true.

"I will take you to him."

Transforming into his TopKick form, he held the door open for Sarah to climb into. No words were said as he drove to the med-bay where Will lay. Ratchet was the only one in the med-bay at the time. He came to a stop in what he was doing when Ironhide transformed and carried Sarah over to him.

Ratchet silently held out his hand to transfer Sarah to. Ironhide decided to leave after that, to let Sarah have her alone time with Will.

Ratchet carried Sarah over to the human section of his med-bay, with areas that were separated by curtains. The only occupt he had was Will and curtains hid him from view. He gently set Sarah down in front of them.

"I will be over there if you need me" said Ratchet pointing towards the other side of the hanger were three unfamiliar mechs lay. Sarah nodded and turned towards the cloth that separated her from her husband. With a deep breath she pulled the curtain back.

Sarah covered her mouth as she took in the sight of her husband, her knees threatening to give out on her, she barely made it to the chair beside his bed. Not an inch of skin seemed to be unharmed, bandages covering much of his bare skin. The only place that seemed untouched was Will's face. Hands shaking she leaned forward as much as her swollen belly would allow her too and gentle stroked his face, something she thought she would never do again. Will didn't even so much as twitch as she touched him, the drug cocktail that followed through his veins kept him unconscious as his body fought to rid itself of the infection, sickness, and drugs that lingered in his bloodstream after months of being a hostage.

"Will" she said softly. "Will, you have to fight to stay here honey. Lord knows how hard you have fought, but you have to fight for a bit longer. Fight for Annabelle, and your son."

Sarah was not expecting for the hand that she had latched onto to be given a squeeze. Sarah focused back onto Will's face, shocked when she saw tired eyes looking at her. "Will" she whispered.

"Sa-rah" he croaked out, staring straight at her.

"Oh Will" she said, as she watched his eyes closed again. "Ratchet, Ratchet"

The mech came running, scanners at the ready.

"Ratchet he woke up, he said my name" she told the mech, who looked at the reading of one of the machines, before performing a scan.

Finally he looked at her and smiled, "It's a good sign, a very good sign."

One Month Later

Will smiled softly from the chair Ratchet had forced him in. Sarah was sitting beside him with her hand clasped in hers. Both of them watching as Annabelle ran among soldiers and holoforms of the Autobots laughing. She had bounced back from her place of depression that Will's disappearance had left, and now she was the carefree child she used to be. Only clinger when it came to Will. The only mechs not joining in on the fun was Prowl, Barricade, and Blockade. The three were still trying to repair their relationship, and the Autobots were still a little weary around the ex-Cons. The only ones that had made friends with the 'Con twins was the Lambo twins. The pairs got along with fire and grease, and just about as explosive. Ratchet had been aggressively stopping Skids and Mudflap from joining in on the twin fun. But it was only a matter of time. The three were sitting off to the side much like Sarah and Will just enjoying the sight.

Will turned his eyes to his guardian, Ironhide. The black mech seemed to be a lot lighter than Will had ever seen him. Somehow, and Will didn't ask how, Ironhide and Chromia had gotten their sparkbond back. The same with Optimus and Elita.

There was no doubt in Will's mind that someday that they would overcome the challenges that lay before them. Damaged relationships would be repaired, and demons would be faced. Even Will would be able to overcome the demons that lay before him. It would take a good deal of time and a lot of will power. Will had to have faith that someday he would be able to work through the horror of his captivity. But right now he was going to enjoy this moment, a bright moment in the months to come. He gently raised his wife's hand and gently kissed the back of it before rubbing his thumb of it.

Sarah guided it back down to rest on her stomach, where their son was feeling very active today. Will relaxed further casting dark thoughts from his mind. All that mattered was that they were alive, and they had all found a way back to each other.

Fin.
