Pick and Choose

Summary: Gilan and Will are lost and they have to decide which route to take… out of five. How are they supposed to pick one? Well, Gil's got a solution…

Words: 200. Exactly. *proud nod* Yeah, I actually wrote a proper drabble.

"We have to what, now?" asked Will, aghast. He turned from Gilan to look again at the divided track before them

The five way divided track.

Gil shrugged. "Well, we have to get somewhere. And, seeing as neither of us know which of these lovely five routes to take, I suggest you pick one randomly and see where that takes us."

"But what if we get lost even more?"

"We'll manage," Gilan smiled, cheerful as always.

Will groaned to himself. He was tired and sleepy and hungry, since the last meal they'd had was yesterday afternoon. At least they had water… And now they were, it seems, lost too, to top it off. And needing to choose between five tracks. Did he mention that?

"Can't we just rest the night and decide tomorrow?" It was what Halt did sometimes.

But Gil shook his head. "We need to get there by sunrise, remember?"

"Why do I have to choose?"

He grinned impishly. "Hey, you know what they say: where there's a will, there's a way. And we've got a Will right here." He ruffled his clearly unamused friend's hair and waved an arm at the tracks. "So go on; which way?"

A/N: I found this written in my notebook from ages ago so I thought, well, might as well post it. I think it came from watching Shrek. Gotta love Donkey… :P If you don't know what I'm referring to, then… well, there's just no hope for ya, mate.

Leave a review, by the way. Did you like it? Or was it too cheesy? (Blasphemy, I tell you. It's Gilan!). *pokes review button* Clicky!
