Hey guys :)
I'm not back, unfortunately. I just found this old fic I had started like... a million years ago (oh god) and just now had the weird, nostalgic urge to finish it and post it. This is the sequel to chapter 3: Moving Out.
Any readers left?

Kazahaya's smile was wide enough to leave a permanent etch on his face, as he stuck the key his new landlord had already provided him with into the deadbolt lock on the front door. Rikuo was smiling too, he'd never seen Kazahaya so happy... it was impossible to not be giddy. The key turned effortlessly and both boys heard the loud clunk of the lock releasing and then the zip when Kazahaya pulled the key back out, shoving the bronze in his jeans pocket. Kazahaya looked up at Rikuo and giggled lightly, Rikuo was chuckling too. Happiness really was contagious, like a yawn.
It was the morning after Kazahaya had asked Rikuo to move in with him, after both boys- young men- revealed how they really felt about each other. The morning after they both slept in the same bed, as more than just friends. And although they didn't have sex (no matter how close they had gotten), Rikuo and Kazahaya felt much closer than they ever had been. Rikuo would even go on to say he felt complete, uncaring about how cheesy it sounded, because it was true. He felt whole, his body pressed against Kazahaya's, holding him close, feeling his steady breathing and his wet skin, sweat drying from the pleasurable events that had taken place. He wasn't sure if he could call it love yet, what Rikuo felt for his roommate, but it was something close. Something that would reveal itself soon, he hoped.
Kazahaya led the way in, Rikuo close behind, taking another look at the low-to-the-ground car in the driveway, Saiga in the front seat, waving him in. Their former bosses were kind enough to help them move in, Saiga lending his car in the occasion. Kakei was at the store alone, for the time being, but he promised to visit very soon.
It was Rikuo's first time seeing the house and Kazahaya had no problem giving him the grand tour.
"So, this is the living room," he clasped his hands behind his back, turning on one foot to grin at Rikuo before twirling again to face forward once more. Rikuo snickered at his... boyfriend's barely contained excitement.
Rikuo looked around the scarcely furnished room, noting a comfy chair, an end table with a lamp, and a coffee table, but that was it. He frowned, wondering if he could buy that old couch in the upstairs apartment off of Kakei. It wasn't the comfiest couch in the world, but it was a couch, nonetheless. Luckily, between the two men, they had enough things to keep them entertained, and certainly put into a house without any problem.
Kazahaya, a skip in his step, dashed into the adjacent kitchen, separating it from the living room with a big arch.
"Dining room," Kazahaya nodded to his left, where there was a considerably sized wooden table with two chairs. "And kitchen," Kazahaya turned to his right to continue walking.
It was a big kitchen, Rikuo noticed with approval, twice the size of their old one. He glanced down at the counter tops. They were obviously a fake granite style, but the dark color looked nice in contrast to the white walls, not that Rikuo was an expert on interior design or anything. He ran his hand across the counter.
"Large counter tops..." Rikuo trailed off, an image coming out of nowhere of pinning Kazahaya against this counter, lifting him onto it, tearing his clothes off...
Rikuo blinked, glancing up at the dirty blond head in front of him, and swallowed.
It literally just hit him. This house belonged (technically, it was a rent-to-own) to him and Kazahaya. They were alone. They could do what ever they wanted. No scrutiny from their psychic landlord, no knowing glances from Saiga at work, just complete and total privacy. Rikuo hated to admit it, but there was only one thing running through his mind at that moment.
"Oh, yeah. Lots of room for you to make food and stuff." Kazahaya turned, leaning sideways on the dark surface, smile fading into a neutral expression, but his eyes were still dancing.
"Yeah, stuff..." Rikuo grinned, not caring if Kazahaya got the implication or not. Said blond arched an eyebrow, eyes darting to the counter and back to Rikuo.
"Anyway..." Kazahaya pushed himself off, walking past Rikuo like there was nothing further to discuss. Rikuo's eyes followed him first, gaze on Kazahaya's ass in those ass hugging jeans, before he moved to follow.
Kazahaya walked back into the living room, treading further into it and turning down a hallway. Rikuo fell into step slowly, thoughts impure as he studied Kazahaya's backside.
"Bathroom," Kazahaya pulled open a door and flicked on a light, walking inside.
Rikuo followed, noting the floral wallpaper with disdain.
"Hm..." Rikuo mulled, watching Kazahaya pull back the solid green shower curtain concealing the bathtub/shower. He slid his arms around Kazahaya, pulling him back against his chest. Kazahaya turned his head as best he could to catch Rikuo's eyes.
"Shower could be bigger..." he said dryly, crossing his arms around Kazahaya's slender stomach, feeling the smaller man's shirt ride up from the friction.
Kazahaya rolled his eyes, resting his hands over Rikuo's. "It's fine."
"I doubt it'd even hold two people..."
Kazahaya strained his neck to face Rikuo. "A shower doesn't need to accommodate more than one," his face contorted questionably.
Rikuo smirked, glad to see a bit of naivity still inside his roommate that he could poke and tease at.
"But I want it to," Rikuo leaned down to whisper in Kazahaya's ear, nuzzling his nose into the fine lightly colored hairs.
"You can't get everything you want, Rikuo," Kazahaya spoke simply, taking Rikuo's hands in his, dislodging them from his body.
Rikuo let his arms fall to his sides, watching Kazahaya turn to face him with a small smile.
Rikuo smirked, moving his hands to either side of Kazahaya's neck, thumbs pressing under his earlobes, hands sliding back into his hair line, while leaning down considerably.
"Hate to burst your bubble, but I tend to get what I want," he tugged at Kazahaya's hair, forcing the smaller man's head to tilt back. Kazahaya gasped in surprise, resting his hands on Rikuo's arms, feeling the grip on his hair release, and instead turn into a caress that made Kazahaya shiver.
"Not anymore," Kazahaya tried to get some superiority in his voice, but it came out more like a whisper. "New place, new rules."
"That how it's gonna be?" Rikuo grinned, tapping his nose to Kazahaya's. "Why can't we both make the rules?"
Kazahaya raised an eyebrow quizzically, sarcastically. Rikuo held back a snicker. Yeah he was a hypocrite, sue him.
"Because I made the first payment on the house, it's technically mine. So, my rules."
"What kind of logic is that?" Rikuo leaned back, away from the shorter man. "I live here too; shouldn't I be happy and get a fair say?"
"Life isn't fair, Rikuo Himura," Kazahaya poked Rikuo's ribs harshly, causing an unmanly squeak to emerge.
"Obey me, I am your master now," Kazahaya joked, his lips jutting out. Rikuo sniggered, rolling his eyes and allowing Kazahaya to scurry out of his hold, back into the hallway where he followed with a sigh.
"Bedroom."
Rikuo shoved his hands in his pockets, stepping into the room and looking around the large space.
Kazahaya danced in, his arms out wide. "We have a lovely view of the backyard, here." He pushed one of the windows up, struggling as it stuck and squeaked against the aged wood.
"No bed?" Rikuo frowned at the wood floor.
Kazahaya turned with a shrug. "I bought an air mattress last night, can't afford a real bed yet."
Rikuo scoffed lightly. "An air mattress..." He could already feel the ache in his back. "That's not going to be very easy to fool around on."
A pink dusting grew up Kazahaya's neck, making Rikuo smirk. Kazahaya watched, his pulse quickening as Rikuo sauntered over to him, taking his hands and tugging Kazahaya so their fronts touched.
Looking down into Kazayaha's wide, caramel eyes, Rikuo smiled.
"I still can't believe you managed to get out," Rikuo whispered, softly pushing hair out of Kazahaya's face and letting his fingers caress down his jaw.
Kazahaya gave a small smile. "Well, Kakei helped a lot."
"Mm..." Rikuo hummed, moving his hands to lightly hold either side of Kazahaya's head. "Your own place..."
"Our own place," Kazahaya corrected with a grin.
Rikuo smirked, tilting Kazahaya's head back just a tad further, leaning down to touch their noses together.
"Right," he murmured, his eyes slipping shut with Kazahaya's as their lips met in a soft kiss.
Rikuo groaned softly, feeling Kazahaya push forward, lips moving along with his, languid and sweet. They parted and kissed again, pressure building as Kazahaya's arms moved up, his palms pressing along Rikuo's chest and around his neck, pulling him down so there was no space between them.
A hesitant tongue touched Rikuo's lips and with a sigh, Rikuo's mouth dropped open, licking his way into Kazahaya's mouth, deepening the kiss and feeling light headed with the sounds coming from Kazahaya.
Feeling bold, Rikuo's hands dropped from Kazahaya's face to his lower back, arms winding around thin hips, holding Kazahaya tight and pushing his own hips forward. The resulting whine of pleasure spurred Rikuo to roll his hips again, meeting Kazahaya's in perfect tandem as they continued kissing, erotic sounds lost in each other's mouths.
Kazahaya's hold around Rikuo's neck tightened as he stepped backwards, dragging Rikuo along until his back hit a wall and their lips disconnected with deep gasps for air. Rikuo didn't let more than a breath escape before kissing up Kazahaya's jaw line and down to his neck, nipping the flesh there, smirking at Kazahaya's soft keening as he went.
"I can't wait to do this to you, every single day," Rikuo spoke, low and husky into Kazahaya's ear. He felt the smaller man shudder beneath him, the fingers on his neck slipping up and gripping the short hairs on Rikuo's head.
"To kiss you awake..." Rikuo licked the shell of Kazahaya's ear. "... Watch you wake up next to me..." His hands on Kazahaya's waist slipped down to grab his ass.
"Rikuo..." Kazahaya moaned, turning his head to find Rikuo's lips, letting them brush together teasingly.
With a hazy, determined look in his eyes, Rikuo's hands slipped further down, bending his knees so he was eye level with Kazahaya, before hefting him up off the floor. A short cry of surprise emitted from the blond before Kazahaya instinctively wrapped his legs around Rikuo's hips, a small smile breaking through the fog of lust.
"I've thought about that for so long, wanted it..." Rikuo tapped their foreheads together, watching Kazahaya's eyes dance in delight.
"I love you." Kazahaya's eyes blew wide when he realized what he'd said, Rikuo's expression surely mirroring it. Then Kazahaya's smile turned wide, his frame relaxing, assured.
Rikuo laughed, kissing Kazahaya once, twice, three times.
"I love you, too."
"Good," Kazahaya whispered. He leaned forward for another kiss when a loud bang echoed through the empty house, causing them to jump apart, Rikuo nearly dropping Kazahaya.
"Hey kids!" Saiga's voice boomed along the halls. "Dad's coming in, don't let me catch you two getting frisky now!"
"Oh my God," Rikuo groaned, his head falling on Kazahaya's shoulder dramatically.
Kazahaya tried to laugh it off, but if anyone asked, in that moment he was just as frustrated as Rikuo.
