The start of this chapter may seem familar..its all J.K Rowlings! 3

Chapter 8 - Goodbye, Hello

"..You can do your bit by making the Headquarters fit to live it, I don't care if you already know what happens Ronald Weasley, you are not, under any circumstances, coming to meetings so..clean, NOW!"

"I feel like a house-elf" grumbled Ron

"Well, now you understand what dreadful lives they lead, perhaps you'll be a bit more active in SPEW-"

"Look Hermione, we all know I eventually like house-elfs a little bit so just give it a rest will you?" Rum shot back.

"And we all know you end up liking Hermione a little bit too, so why don't you stop being nasty to her?" Teddy cut in, winking at the two blushing friends.

Everyone else laughed but quickly got back to working as Mrs Weasley shot them a glare.

The two new couples at Grimmauld Place didn't get much time to see eachother with Mrs Weasleys clean-up regime, in fact, sneaky hugs in empty rooms and holding hands under the table were about as much as they could manage over the next few days.

Everyone was sitting in the overcrowded Kitchen at Grimmauld Place eating Molly's soup and chatting about the usual subject; the future.

"..and then he started skipping down the corridor, the house-elfs following him singing 'We're off to see the wizard, the wonderfull wizard of Oz' while the house-elfs sang back-up! It was the funniest sight i've ever seen" Hugo was telling his parents and his aunt Ginny and Uncle Harry about James.

"Who is the wizard of Oz?" Ron asked, a confused look playing on his and Ginny's faces.

"Never mind" Hermione giggled.

It was the day before the last day of the summer holidays and everyone was trying to get in as much time with their younger parents and family as they could before the ones returning to Hogwarts had their memories erased tomorrow night.

"We havent had our booklists yet, they must be comibng tomorrow, it's the last day" Hermione said, a worried look playing on her features

"Yeah, and this is the year that we're getting a new quidditch captain, could be me" Said Fred.

"Or me!" added George.

"Do you know who it is?" Questioned Harry, looking at the next generation.

"I actually don't" Lily said, thinking hard.

"It was aunt Angelina remember!" Al piped up, "She never shuts up about how much of a nuisance dad was"

"What! We've been on the team just as long!" The twins said together.

"Boys.." warned Mrs Weasley, "Be hapy for you're friend...and future wife George"

George blushed for a second then turned to his brother to discuss the quidditch for this year and who had left and was needing replaced on other teams.

Along the table Scorpius and Al were having an in depth conversation with Harry and Ron about the quidditch games at Hogwarts.

"Once the weather gets back to normal, around febuary Slytherin should be playing Hufflepuff and if they beat them and Gryffindor win by more than 60 points against Ravenclaw it'll be a Gryffindor-Slytherin final so we'll get to go back to dear old Hogwarts to watch Lily play against our old team, who should we support?" Scorp asked Al.

"Slytherin all the way" Al replied quickly, making Harry and Ron look at him in disgust.

"I have no idea how I get used to having a slytherin as a son..." Harry muttered.

"I have no idea how dad gets used to having a slytherin in the family..." Ron added.

They boys just laughed, taking no offence in they're young parents prejudice, they knew it wasn't the same in the future so no harm was done.

Lily, hearing her name had turned towards the boys, listening to the quidditch talk, ''Don't worry, I won't hurt you're old team too much" she said, winking at them.

"Yeah right Lily, you might have the brute strength and stupidity to do idiotic moves on your team, but Slytherin have the brains and cunning to beat you using well developed plans" Scorpius said jokingly, pulling his hand up from under the table to tap his head, completely forgetting his fingers were interlaced with Lily's, who was staring at him in complete shock and horror.

They quickly let go of eachother, but not quick enough as Teddy stood up so fast his seat fell backwards and Albus leaped to the side towards Scorpius, feeling his pockets for his wand, completly forgetting he'd left it sitting upstairs after using it to clean the sheets his grandma had given him.

"Don't dare touch her" Teddy warned, his hair slowly turning a deep red and his eyes going black.

"AL! LET GO OF HIM!" Lily screamed, trying to prise Albus' fingers from Scropius' jumper and he pushed his down onto the table. Teddy raced round, producing his wand and pressing it up against Scorps chest, burning a hole like a small cigarette burn onto his t-shirt.

"ENOUGH!" A powerful voice screamed.

Everyone stopped and turned in shock as they realised the voice had come from little fourteen year old Ginny.

"DO YOU THINK THIS IS HOW I WANT TO SEE MY SON AND A BOY WHO I HELPED BRING UP ACT? I KNOW FINE WELL I WILL NOT BRING YOU UP TO BEAT UP YOUR OWN BEST FRIEND OR A BOY WHO IS EIGHT YEARS YOUNGER THAN YOU!" She stopped and stared wide eyed and red faced at Albus and Teddy. Albus immediately let go of Scorpius and pushed Teddy's wand from his chest, and put out his hand to help Scorpius up. Scropius stared at Al's hand for about 5 seconds then slowly took it and stood up, fixing his jumper where it had been pulled up by Al when he grabbed him.

The two boys looked at eachother for a full minute and Teddy's hair slowly returned to a sandy colour just as Al pulled Scorpius into a 'man' hug. Slapping him on the back, he quickly pulled away and ran his fingers through his hair making it messier than it had been.

"Sorry" he muttered. Looking at the ground, "just..I don't know, she's my baby sister mate and it's a bit of a slap in the face seeing her holding hands with a guy. And I know it was just holding hands but everything started running through my head, if you know what I mean.." he said, eyeing Scorpius who knew exactly what he meant and had to control his blushing when the memories of the night in the bathroom came rushing back.

"No worries, I remember feeling like killing Thomas Wood when Rose started dating him and she's not even my real sister" Scorius replied.

"Wait! You're dating? For how long? Thanks for telling me, I'm only your brother and your best friend!" Al said, glaring at the two.

"Well, Lily is mines and Hugo's best friend and is like our sister but you didn't see us attacking him" glowered Daisy.

"I know, we're idiots. Sorry." Teddy said sincerly.

"Good. Now thats settled we can go to bed seeing as we need to get up early to pack tomorrow" Ginny said, really wanting to go up to her room to hear the story from Lily

"You remind me so much of, well, you. But older you" Albus laughed at his young mother, "It's scary..."

Thats night everyone sat in their bedrooms, with no intentions of having an early night...

In the girls bedroom, Lily was filling Daisy, Ginny and Hermione in on how her and Scorpius had finally got together, missing out the more risky details remembering that her mother and aunt were in the room and barely fourteen and fifteen.

"Oh that is so romantiiiic!" Ginny cooed when she had finished her story, "I cannot wait to have that!"

"What about you and Hugo?" Hermione urged Daisy, "Has my son done anything sweet or romantic?"

"Well, actually.." she said but she was cut of with squeals and giggles from the other three girls.

"DAISY! You never said" Lily said, with a mock sad face.

"Well I am now so, shh!" and she told her tale of Hugo's outburst on the stairs and when he told her he was in love with her.

"I'm going to be such a third wheel when we get back to school'' Lily moaned, but she was still smiling for her two best friends, "Oh well, i'll just have to steal Al's mirror to talk to Scorp" she added.

"I have even more secrets to tell" whispered Ginny, leaning closer so tell the other three girls something that made them give another squeal of joy and even reduce Lily to tears of happiness...

Meanwhile, in the boys room there was complete silence.

Stupid daughter stealer. How can I even be in the same room as him? Why am I even feeling like this? I don't have a daughter. But still, she looks like Ginny and I didn't like seeing him holding hands with a Ginny lookalike, thats what it was, it wasn't fatherly feelings or anything...

What a creep, he's far too old for her, this is Krum and Hermione all over again. He better not touch Lily. Ever. I can't believe he's best friends with my daughter.

This is exactly how Ron must have felt when my mum and dad kissed right in front of him all those years ago, at least he managed not to almost punch his best friend though...I should say something to the traitor-I mean Scorp...tomorrow...when I've slept on it.

Was totally worth it for Lily.

In the twins room however, Teddy was no where to be found as he'd once again made a late night trip to Vic's bedroom.

The husband and wife were sitting cross legged on the bed facing eachother.

"Aurora"

"Yuck"

"What! That's a lovely name!"

"Yeah, if you live in a muggle fairytale"

"Fine, you pick one?"

Teddy thought for a moment.

"Okay, John for a boy and Dora for a girl"

"They're a bit plain for the child of a half-werewolf-half-metamorphamagus and a part veela, aren't they?"

"It's my dad's middle name and my mums shortened name, I didn't want to go for their full names like Harry did, I don't want to copy him"

"Oh, merlin, I didn't even think. But I prefer Remus to John, and it's hardly copying Harry! Everyone names children after someone"

"So do I, you're right, but you have to have a say too"

"I had both my parents growing up and still do, I don't need something special like you do, Remus for a boy, Dora for a girl. It's decided" Vic smiled, leaning over to kiss her husband.

The next morning everyone was awoken by Mrs Weasley to start helping round up everything from around the house to be packed for Hogwarts.

They all met for a quick breakfast in the kitchen when the booklists arrived.

"I thought they'd forgotten" Hermione said as she opened hers. When she pulled out the letter, a small scarlet and gold badge dropped out and hit of the table.

"Oh my god! I'm prefect!" Hermione squealed, looking over at Harry who was opening his but was distracted with Ron's outburst,

"PERIOD!" Ron yelled, holding a badge identical to Hermione's.

"What, I thought your little catchphrase was 'bloody hell'" Hugo asked his dad.

"Same thing!" Ron answered quickly, checking his badge as if her thought it might be some joke the twins had sent him.

"Ron, what's that?" Mrs Weasley asked, coming over to see the booklists, "MERLIN, Ronnie! A Prefect! That's everyone so far!"

"Excuse me" Fred said indignantly.

"And Hermione, oh this deserves something special! We'll have a party dinner tonight, i'll get your dad to invite Kingsley and Bill and Mad-Eye-OH! What would you like while i'm in Diagon Alley?"

"What?" Ron asked, daring not to believe what he was hearing.

"Well, you have to get something for this, we gave percy an owl.."

"Mum, really, I don't need anything..."

"Nonsense, new dress robes? "

"We got him some" Said George sourly.

"Mum, can I have a new broomstick?"

Mrs Weasleys face dropped, that was a bit more expensive than a new cauldron or something similar.

"Not a really good one..just a better one for a change?"

"...Of course. Well, i'm off, broomsticks to buy. Oh a prefect..." and she almost skipped out of the kitchen.

"You could have warned us!" Hermione joked.

"Sorry, completely slipped my mind" Al lied, really they just didn't want to ruin their moment, and their Grandmas moment.

"Harry, can I borrow Hedwig to tell mum and dad?" Hermione asked, "Prefect is something they understand, you know"

"Yeah sure, well done Hermione" Harry said, hugging her. Al, Teddy and Lily studied him carefully. He had told them about his reaction to his friends becoming prefects and it seemed that knowing how things turned out had helped and he wasn't feeling as sorry for himself this time round.

As the day bore on the inhabitants of Grimmauld Place began to feel sad at the thought of their impending departure.

Everyone knew it wouldn't exactly be the last time they ever saw their children or parents apart from Fred who had been making the most of his time with his nieces and nephews, but their moods weren't helped when just as Mrs Weasley arrived back with all the shopping, they were joined by Dumbledore who told them that the time had come to erase the memories of all those returning to Hogwarts as they couldn't go to their friends knowing what they knew.

They girls all cried as girls do when saying goodbye to loved ones and Hugo and Al reminded their mums they would see them again in about 8 years. Scorpius reminded them not to be a hard on his dad now that they know how things turn out, only to recieve more than a few glares. And Lily told her mum to try her hardest to remember and include her aunt Luna.

The next generation were all ushered into a bedroom where they had to remain until the kids left for school the next day so they didn't see them after having their memories erased.

"How weird has this been? I hope our parents never realise we're gone...We'd be going back to school ourselves soon, actually, we should already be back" Lily sighed, cuddling into Scorpius' chest and ignoring the glares form her family.

"I hope we get back to the exact moment we left. Otherwise our parents will be going spare" Hugo added.

"My dad is going to have to find out if we don't, especially when I dont get home for christmas. My mum will be so upset" Scorpius said.

"Before we get back, I have something to say," Daisy announced, "I want to tell you all before I tell my dad so I have moral support.."

"Oh god, did Hugo get you pregnant?" Al joked.

"What, no but its is about Hugo, we are..well, we're dating" She smiled at everyone, waiting the reactions but none came.

"Is that it?" Teddy asked, "We knew before you even knew"

"Wha-what?" Daisy spluttered.

"Oh come on! You are like Hermione and Ron, it was only a matter of time before you got together" Vic laughed.

"Oh" Daisy said. Sitting down next to Hugo and taking his hand as he laughed into her hair, kissing her head softly.

"I am so gutted were missing the party!" Lily moaned.

"Me too," said Vic, "I really wanted to have one last night with my dad when he's still young and cool"

The seven of them sat up late talking about everything that had happened since they got here and how different things would be now, especially for Teddy.

It wasn't until Lily fell asleep and fell forward onto Scorpius' lap that Al loudly announced it was time for bed, waking her up and reminding her to sleep at the girls side of the room.

The next morning the next generation woke up to find the house in complete silence, everyone had left for the station, leaving them here.

They groggily made their way down to the kitchen where breakfast was laid out for them, probably by Molly.

They were sitting eating their food and lightly chatting when they heard the group arrive back at headquarters.

"So, you lot are the time travelers then?" growled Mad-Eye as he walked in the door, the groups at the table looked at him in awe, Teddy even stood up, "I hear one on you is an auror?" He asked.

Teddy stepped out from in front of his chair and held out his hand to the old man, "I am" he said as Mad-Eye looked down at his hand without taking it.

Teddy dropped his hand to his side and went on, "You are a legend in my day".

"I didn't become an auror to be a 'legend''' Moody replied shortly.

"I know, I was only saying.." Teddy turned around and gave Vic a look before sitting back down at his bacon.

The rest of the Order walked into kitchen behind Moody,

"Did everyone get something to eat?" Mothered Mrs Weasley.

"I put a silencing charm on your door this morning so that you didn't get woke up with the madness, Ginny got knocked down the stairs at one point" said Tonks, ruffling Teddy's hair.

"Yes, at least with the kids all gone it might be a little bit calmer in this house" added Mrs Weasley just as a loud crash came from the entrance lobby.

"What was that, Tonks?" Sirius asked.

"I'm right here, and every little noise or accident isn't my fault you know" Tonky replied, glaring at Sirius.

There were footsteps coming down the stairs towards the kitchen, everyone sat in silence wands out, staring intently at the door.

When the door swung open you could practically hear all thirteen jaws hit the stone floor.

OOOOOOOH I wonder who it is?

*deep breath* ahahahahahahahaha.
