"Good morning, Sunshine." Cameron nuzzled Thirteen's cheek. It was just after ten in the morning and Cameron had already been up and about for a few hours. Thirteen groaned and rolled onto her stomach, shielding her face from Cameron. Cameron pulled back the covers and trailed her hands over Thirteen's back.

"Whhhhhyyy?" Thirteen groaned exaggeratedly. She finally, slowly sat up in bed.

"I'm bored." Cameron said. She had accomplished about half of what she had to do today in the wee hours of the morning and returned to see her girlfriend whom she'd expected to be awake.

Thirteen shook her head and lay back down. She did, however, turn on her side to face Cameron. "You're already dressed, Jesus." Thirteen glanced at the clock. It was a lot later than she usually slept, but she wrote it off due to the complete exhaustion of the past week.

"I broke my lease this morning." Cameron smiled, finally getting Thirteen's full attention. The younger doctor sat up.

"When do you move in?" Thirteen asked, stretching her arms.

"I sign the lease Monday morning, and its mine the first of the month." Cameron said.

"I'm so excited." Thirteen beamed. She leaned over and threw her arms around Cameron. "I'm going to go brush my teeth so you'll let me kiss you." She smirked, finally getting out of bed. Cameron watched her walk to the bathroom. She was going to like living across the hall.

"I've got a lot to do today. I was thinking maybe we could get breakfast and tell Ben and Maya before I have to go." Cameron said.

Thirteen spit her toothpaste into the skin. "What's on the agenda?" She asked.

"I've got a lot of recently unpacked boxes to refill." Cameron rolled her eyes. She should have gone with her lazy instincts to not unpack when she first moved back to New Jersey. Thirteen chuckled.

"Sounds thrilling, but I have children to do the manual labor." She waltzed back into her bedroom and over to her closet.

"I'm not letting your nine and twelve-year-old go through all of my stuff." Cameron shook her head.

"What exactly are you hiding?" Thirteen turned around.

"Just a few bodies." Cameron shrugged, watching as Thirteen slipped on a pair of jeans.

"I see." Thirteen nodded. "Let's make some breakfast."

Together they exited the bedroom and found Ben and Maya curled up on the couch watching cartoons.

"Is that South Park?" Thirteen asked, stepping closer to the TV. Cameron went into the kitchen to make coffee as she watched Thirteen approach her niece and nephew.

"Maybe." Maya replied. Cameron made no effort to hide her amusement since no one was paying attention to her.

"You guys aren't supposed to watch that." Thirteen went around the couch and grabbed the remote.

"That's not fair." Ben whined. Thirteen ignored him and flipped a few channels. Upon reaching C-Span, she set the remote back down.

With a loud sigh, Maya grabbed for the remote and turned off the TV.

"I'm hungry." Ben said, peering over the couch towards the kitchen.

"How about I make some pancakes?" Thirteen asked. Ben nodded eagerly.

"I don't want pancakes." Maya grumbled.

"Do you want eggs? Cereal?" Thirteen asked.

"No," Maya answered.

"What would you like then?" Thirteen asked. Maya shrugged. "Pancakes it is then." Thirteen smirked, heading for the kitchen. Cameron pulled out two coffee mugs as Thirteen began preparing pancake batter.

Maya stomped towards the kitchen with Ben following tentatively.

"I want to go to Jake's house today." Ben said to his aunt, as he stayed a few steps from his sister.

"I'll call Jake's mom and see what his plans are after breakfast." Thirteen said, trying not to laugh at how he was trying to avoid his sister.

"Thank you." Ben grinned. He went over to the fridge, pulled out a carton of blueberries and then jumped up on the counter next to where his aunt was cooking. "Can I mix these in?"

"Sure," Thirteen mused, grabbing a few to snack on as she finished up the batter.

Cameron placed a cup of coffee in front of Remy before taking hers to the table which Maya was almost done setting. The Hadleys had such a routine down. The domesticity shocked Cameron. Remy really was providing these kids with some semblance of a normal life. One, ironically, that she had never thought she would be able to have because of her disease. It was all kind of beautiful.

"I think I should be allowed to drink coffee." Maya said, looking up at Cameron. Cameron opened her mouth to respond, but quickly realized that was not her call. Cameron turned to look at Thirteen who gave her a wide grin.

"By all means," Thirteen said, looking excited for Maya's inevitable reaction. Cameron went and poured Maya a small cup. She didn't add milk or sugar, knowing Thirteen didn't want there to be any chance of Maya actually liking the beverage.

"Can I try it?" Ben asked.

"No," Maya sneered, taking the cup from Cameron.

"That's not fair." He whined.

"You can take a sip." Thirteen agreed. It was just decaf, and he would inevitably hate it too.

"That's not fair. I had to wait until now!" Maya argued.

"You've never asked until now." Thirteen responded, giving her a stern look.

"Cause I knew you'd say no." She frowned.

"Apparently, you were wrong." Thirteen shrugged. Ben stuck his tongue out at his sister from behind Thirteen's back. Cameron couldn't help but to smile at his antics. She'd never spent so much time around children who weren't ill enough to land themselves in the ER or on Doctor House's agenda.

"This isn't fair at all." Maya grumbled, sniffing the coffee in her mug.

"Hey, you're getting a full cup. He's only getting a sip." Thirteen reminded her. This seemed to calm her down enough to take the cup back to the table. "Maya and Allie, do you guys want blueberries in your pancakes?"

"No thanks," Maya shook her head.

"Sure," Cameron nodded, liking that she was being catered to. She watched as Maya, tentatively sloshed the coffee around in her mug before taking a large gulp. Immediately she spat it right back into the cup and proceeded into a coughing fit.

Thirteen turned around, scared she was choking for a few seconds, before realizing she had just had her first introduction to coffee.

A moment later, Thirteen and Ben brought the pancakes to the table.

"That is vile. What is wrong with you two?" Maya asked, looking between Cameron and Thirteen. "What is wrong with all adults? Who would drink this when we have things like chocolate milk and soda?"

"Let me try!" Ben grabbed for her cup. Cameron wondered if she should voice that Maya had spat in it, but he had already taken a sip.

His eyes opened wide and he went pale as he swallowed the drink down. "Gross." He scrunched his face up and began quickly downing water. Maya and Ben shared a look before she got up and poured two glasses of orange juice, bringing one to her brother.

"I didn't think you guys would like it." Thirteen shook her head, casually eating her pancakes. She squeezed Cameron's thigh under the table to show the amusement she was trying to mask for the sake of the kids' pride.

"Whatever," Maya stabbed into her pancakes. "I'm still going to tell Margo and Ashley that I'm allowed to drink coffee."

"You shouldn't lie to your friends." Ben gave her a look.

"I am allowed, Benjamin." Maya shot him a look right back. He went back to paying attention to his food.

"Wait a second." Maya turned to her Aunt. "You let us try it because you knew we'd hate it!" She accused.

"Yes, I did." Remy grinned.

"My dad gave let me try tequila when I was thirteen. It was a good move on his part because I thought it was the most disgusting thing I'd ever consumed and I didn't touch alcohol until I was eighteen." Cameron shared. Thirteen chuckled.

"Eighteen?" Maya raised an eyebrow.

"Twenty-one." Thirteen choked on a pancake. "She meant twenty-one."

"Silly me. Yes, it was twenty-one." Cameron added. Maya shook her head.

"So, guys." Remy changed the subject. Everyone looked over at her. "What would you think if Cameron moved across the hall?"

"Where we used to live?" Ben asked. Remy nodded.

"Why doesn't she just live here?" Maya asked. Cameron tried to keep her jaw from dropping. She could tell Remy was equally stunned.

Cameron felt a touch awkward because Remy hadn't asked her to move in and because she certainly wasn't ready to. But, she also felt touched that the little girl whom she'd slapped upon their first meeting was perfectly fine with her moving in. In fact, she was more than fine with it. She didn't quite understand why it wasn't happening.

"I think Cameron needs a little bit more of her own space." Thirteen finally said, after a few moments of silence.

"If Cameron's our across the hall neighbor, does that mean I wont be disturbing the neighbors if I skate in the hallway?" Ben grinned.

"That's never going to happen, Ben." Thirteen responded immediately.

"Fine." He looked dejected; "It'd still be cool if you were our neighbor though."

"Good." Remy smiled.

"I'm glad you guys are okay with that because I think I'm going to move in next month." Cameron smiled.

"If we had said no, would you not move?" Maya asked.

"I wouldn't." Cameron said. Maya looked a bit drunk on power for a moment. Luckily, she didn't start making demands.

After breakfast, Ben and Maya did the dishes while Remy talked Cameron into coming back over for dinner after she had finished picking up boxes and starting the first phase of her imminent move. It didn't take Remy more than a few seconds to get Cameron to agree to come back over.

After leaving her girlfriend's place, Cameron headed home to start sorting her things and canceling various utilities. She picked up boxes, had a short and moderately frustrating conversation with her parents, and then wasted a few hours watching TV after telling herself that clearing out her Tivo was an important step in moving.

Eventually she moved on to checking her email before texting Remy to see what time dinner was. Whenever was the response she got, so Cameron figured she could head over.

Cameron knocked on Thirteen's door a few minutes later. She was never sure when she should be using her key or knocking, so she basically just alternated. Ben, covered in flour, opened the door.

"Whoa, what have you been up to?" Cameron asked.

"The kids thought we should bake cookies for our future new neighbor." Thirteen responded from another room. Cameron followed the heavenly scent of fresh baked cookies into the kitchen.

Maya was sitting on the counter texting while Thirteen was drying a large mixing bowl. A tray of chocolate chip cookies sat on the counter cooling.

"Wow, I haven't even moved in yet and you are already spoiling me." Cameron said, resisting the urge to grab a cookie that would inevitably burn her fingers. "Thanks guys."

"You're very welcome." Thirteen gave Cameron a sultry smile. She couldn't wait until they had the apartment across the hall to sneak away to again.

After a pleasant, but uneventful, dinner, Maya and Ben sat down to do some work while Cameron talked Thirteen into going on a little walk around the neighborhood with her. She claimed she wanted to get to know the area she was living in, but more importantly she just wanted to have some alone time and maybe some fresh air.

They had done a loop around the neighborhood, passing the local convenience store and the park Ben liked to hang out at, a small strip mall, and a few other places like the hardware store and a café that was "truly awful" in Remy's opinion. About thirty minutes later, they found themselves back near Remy's building.

"I think I'm going to like it here." Cameron smiled, squeezing Thirteen's hand.

"Welcome home." Thirteen kissed her on the cheek.
