This story was originally written for the Tolkien Group 2010 Challenge, but I've decided to translate it into English and post it here as well.
As always, it is dedicated to my twin sister Leka Ellahir who is also my little elf.
Hope you like it.
And please review!

It was night and the city of Rivendell was very calm and still. There was no movement except for those who were guarding the city, but even they were silent.
The only sound heard in the city was coming from one of the bedrooms in the main house. It was the one that belonged to Lord Elrond's twin sons Elladan and Elrohir.
Elladan woke up to the sound of movement in his room. He was still a little elf, but Lord Glorfindel had already taught him and his brother about the importance of keeping an eye open for an enemy, even when you're asleep.
He turned around looking for something he could use as a weapon and searching for someone who might be in the room when he realized that the noise was coming from the other side of the room. More specifically it was coming from his brother's bed.
"Stop moving and sleep, Ro!" said the oldest to his brother who was tossing and turning on his bed.
Elladan waited for some minutes, but his brother gave no signs that he would stop moving anytime soon.
The young elf then got up and went towards his brother's bed. That's when he noticed that his brother was awake and looked terrified.
"What happened, Ro?" asked the oldest.
"I'm afraid, Dan…" answered the other in a low voice.
"Afraid of what? Did you have a nightmare?"
"Yes…"
"Wanna talk about it?"
"There were orcs, Dan…a lot of them…and they were everywhere. And they got me…and took me away…" answered the youngest crying
Elladan, seeing his brother like that, sat on his bed and pulled his brother close until Elrohir's head was leaning against his lap. He started caressing his brother's hair just like their mother used to do to soothe them.
"Easy, Ro. I'm not gonna let them take you"
"But what if they take you too? ...or hurt you?"
"Then Ada will go and bring us back"
"Can Ada do that?" asked the young Elrohir surprised, making his brother smile because of his innocence.
"Of course, Ro. Ada is very strong and powerful. He would never let anything happen to you"
"Really?"
"Of course, Ro. Now sleep"
"Ok. Good night, Dan" Said Elrohir closing his eyes.
Elladan stayed in that position holding his brother for a few more minutes to make sure his brother was sleeping before he tried to move and go to his own bed. When he tried to do so, however, he realized that his brother had hugged him while sleeping and it was now impossible for Elladan to move without waking his brother.
Looking at his brother's face and seeing him sleeping so peacefully, Elladan smiled knowing he would spend the night on his brother's bed.
"Good night, Ro" said him closing his eyes too and soon he was sleeping.
Unnoticed by the brothers, a person was hidden in the shadows and watched the whole scene.
It was Elrond, who had heard his youngest's cries and had gone to him to try to soothe him, but had stopped when found this place already taken by his oldest son who was leaving his bed and going to his brother and, as a father, he decided to stay and see what would happen.
Elrond felt his heart fill up with pride while seeing his oldest son take care of his brother; something that he always did, but that would never cease making him proud. He was surprised, however, by his oldest son's speech about himself. He had no doubts that he'd go to the end of the world to bring them back, but it was gratifying to know his son trusted him so much.
As it was winter and the night was cold, Elrond went to Elladan's bed, got his blanket, took it to Elrohir's bed and covered his sleeping sons.
"Sleep tight, ionath-nîn. I've got you" said him taking one last glance at his sons before closing the door
