Chapter 13
The Betrayal!
It has been one week since Eggman and Sonic had the argument about the betrayal and Eggman was getting nervous the more days passed by. Orbot had not reported back to him, which worried him that Sonic had found the little robot and destroyed it. Eggman decided on the fourth day of waiting to take matters into his own hands and had gone to the junk room to grab some scrap metal and take them up to the workshop.
It took Eggman two days to go over the schematics for the machine that had turned Sonic into the complete opposite of the hero of Earth and one day to reverse the affects of the machine. Eggman decided to hide the schematics in a drawer under a shelf that held many books about robotics.
Eggman stepped away from the drawer and walked over to the machine. "That way if Sonic finds out and destroys the machine, the schematics are still there to make a new one." A grin formed on Eggman's face due to his plan.
The sound of a wall being knocked down caught his attention though and he turned in that direction and his eyes grew wide. Sonic was standing where a metal wall should have been, his aura flaring and his white eyes burning with hatred. Eggman saw that half of Sonic's body was in the light of the workshop while the other half was shadowed by the dim light in the hallway.
"S…Sonic! What are you doing here?" Eggman asked with shock along with slight fear, he didn't notice he was backing from the machine towards the drawers.
A growl formed its way from Sonic's mouth as his shadowed left arm became visible while throwing Orbot onto the metal floor in front of Eggman. "You were spying on me?" His voice was like ice and venom mixed together.
Eggman gulped and looked down at the smashed Orbot. There were wires coming out of the small robots eyes which were sparking and its leg and arms were torn from its body.
"Answer me, Eggman!" His voice came out like an animalistic growl.
Eggman looked up at Sonic and saw the hedgehog's white eyes right in front of him. Eggman took a step back out of shock, but he was grabbed by Sonic around the neck and began to choke the mad scientist. Eggman choked and grabbed at Sonic's arm, trying to make him let go. His fingers scratching at the hedgehog's bare arms.
In the middle of choking Eggman, Sonic noticed the machine and glared at it, dropping Eggman and hovering over to it. He looked at the machine and then growled, turning to look Eggman; who was still trying to regain his breath.
"You were going to revert me back to normal!" Sonic shouted, enraged by this fact.
Eggman looked at Sonic, a hand clasping at his throat to try and regain breath. "I thought … that it'd be best … for you … for the world. You're not meant to be … evil."
A grin grew across Sonic's face as he lifted up a hand and his fingernails grew through his gloves until they broke, revealing long, sharp talons. "You're wrong, Eggman. I was always meant to be evil." With that said, the hedgehog sliced the machine in half with his claws. While Eggman watched with terror as his machine is cut up, piece by piece by the once hero of Station Square.
After the machine was all cut up, Sonic turned his attention to Eggman and began walking toward him. Eggman began to back away, slowly, looking at Sonic in fear. "Please, Sonic. Have mercy."
That same grin from before spread across the hedgehog's face as he looked at the doctor's fearful expression. "Mercy? That's gone along with every other emotion I once had!" Sonic exclaimed as he looked at Eggman with a psychotic grin on his face. His clawed hand then plunged straight into Eggman's stomach and the overweight man cried out in pain. "And I also have to thank you for opening my eyes to this. I love the feeling of plunging…" His hand went deeper into Eggman's stomach, earning a strangled cry from him. "…my hand into someone's blood!" Sonic's talons finally got through to Eggman's back and the dark hedgehog grabbed the scientist's spine, yanking it out. Eggman's blood sprayed onto Sonic and the floor.
The hedgehog dropped the spine beside the corpse of Eggman and began to walk away, smirking to himself. "Now that you're dead I have your entire robot army all to myself." Sonic stopped and looked back toward the dead scientist with an insane grin. "This shall be fun!"
I know its been ages since I updated this, but I finally got an idea for this and I decided to write it down before I forgot it and so here it is. I wanted to make the chapter longer, but if I did that it wouldn't seem that suspenseful so I decided to end it here as it seems more suspenseful! I decided to go for the insane/serious approach to Dark Sonic's character since I've been watching a lot of Anime and have gotten a bit of ... inspiration from them. The description may not be that good or long anymore since most of my mojo for writing stories is gone, but that doesn't mean I'll stop! I hope. Hope you enjoyed!
VFMH OUT!
