((While I wait for my melatonin to kick in I thought I'd write a short drabble so I can work on other stuff tomorrow when I get off work.))
It was late at night- strike that- it was early. It was early in the morning and most sane people were fast asleep. Most insane people were asleep. Even seven year old detectives were tucked away in their beds sleeping soundly and dreaming for what the future holds. Said seven year old detective was sprawled out ungracefully on his sleeping mat and snoring softly.
This little detective had just had a big day of chasing bank robbers and solving murders and keeping other seven year old detectives out of danger. He hadn't even bothered to read a book before crashing on his mat and taking an earlier than intended trip to dreamland. His dreams were interrupted and he was brought crashing back as a buzzing erupted somewhere near his pillow.
Conan peeked an annoyed eye open and groaned, rolling over and covering his head with a pillow before realized it must be important if someone was calling this early in the morning. He tried to fall back asleep once the phone stopped it's buzzing but it proved useless as the stupid thing only went off again. Obviously, someone wanted his attention.
Grudgingly, Conan picked up the phone and stared at the caller ID is distaste before pressing the button for ignore and rolling back over. He was tired damn it! And he intended to get as much sleep in as he could! He waited five minutes before deciding the idiot wasn't going to call back and curled into a tight ball and quickly fell asleep again.
At around thirty minutes later, after Conan had managed to fall asleep again the the phone starting buzzing again. Having thoroughly given up on sleep, the detective toned as his flipped the phone open and put it to his ear, grumbling sleepily as he did.
"Oi. Don't you know what time it is?" He grumbled to the person on the other end. He was on the verge of falling a sleep again, as Conan kept his eyes shut and refused to sit up even a little bit.
"Kudo! I need to talk to you!" Came the panicked tones of an Osakan detective. Conan just grunted- far too tired to deal with this at the moment. Heiji took that as a 'please continue' however as he launched into some sort of story. Something about Kazuha and getting trapped somewhere for a while and rain and being late… why this was so important it couldn't wait until morning Shinichi would never know.
"Kudo, I-I got Kazuha pregnant!"
"Oh… good for you." Conan mumbled, falling back asleep. Really, that's what he had to call him at five in the morning for? Kazuha was pregnant?
…
….
Wait. Kazuha was-!
"WHAT?"
