Title inspired by the quote:

"Thou art thy mother's glass, and she in thee

Calls back the lovely April of her prime." – William Shakespeare

And She in Thee

"Look at her-"

"-What an evil woman-"

"A murderer, would you believe it-?"

S H U T U P .

That's my mother you're talking about

_(*)_

Talk about the way her hair shines

The (not) new color of her nails

How slim she manages to be

-Even in an orange jumpsuit.-

Anything but r e a l i t y

(I'll say please if I have to)

_(*)_

I don't want to be here

[Why Boston?]

I don't want to be here

[Less bad press for the business]

I don't want to be here

[But she'll be stuck in America…]

I don't want to be here

_(*)_

Just stop talking

Stop talking about her

Don't make me think about it

( P l e a s e )

Let me forget

That this is all ohso wrong-

Let me pretend

That everything's alright.

Ohnoohnoohno-

She's looking over here.

Is that- oh no- s h a m e

We've let her down agai-

-Stop it, Natalie!-

She's not worth my tears

She hates me:

I'm n o t h i n g to her

Anymore

...

( So why am I crying?

Why do I love her?

Why is she still

e v e r y t h i n g

to me? )

_(*)_

I'm just a girl.

I need a mum.

She's the only one I've got.

This is what may have gone through Natalie's mind during Isabel's trial. I can't remember if this goes along with what the books tell us or not, but oh well. To be perfectly honest, I quite like this piece- I did it ages ago (many thanks to Syberian Quest, my beta reader :D) but got lazy about posting it. Anyways, please review and tell me what you think!

Hope you liked it and thanks for reading,
