Two days later, after Dr. Bailey had checked up on both Olivia and the baby and gave them a clean bill of health, Olivia was allowed to be discharged from the hospital. Elliot, who had stayed at the hospital the entire time, only going home to get in a quick shower, drove up to the hospital entrance as one of the nurses was wheeling Olivia and the baby out.

Elliot parked the car, jumped out of the driver's seat and opened the door to the back seat. He pulled out Eli's car seat and walked over to where Olivia and the nurse were. "Let me get him," Elliot said, placing the car seat on the ground, before taking the sleeping baby out of Olivia's arms. He gently placed him into the seat and buckled him, before placing a blanket over him.

Olivia, wanting nothing more than to go home and relax in her own bed, slowly stood from the wheel chair. "Take it easy," the nurse warned, gently placing her hand on Olivia's arm in case she fell over.

Olivia flashed a smile to the nurse and nodded a thanks, before she turned to watch Elliot buckle Eli's car seat into the backseat. When he was done, he closed the door, then walked around the back of the car to where she stood. "Thank you," he said to the nurse. He placed a hand on Olivia's back and helped her walk to the back seat.

The nurse nodded at Elliot, watching as Olivia slowly slid into the back seat near the baby. When she was all the way in Elliot closed the door and walked up to the nurse. "Thanks," he said, offering a hand to the woman.

The nurse smiled. It was obvious he was a first time father, and she knew just by watching how careful he was with both the baby and Olivia, he was going to be a great one. "You're welcome. Congratulations," she said, grabbing his hand and shaking, before turning the wheelchair and walking back into the hospital.

Once she was inside Elliot walked over to the driver's seat, opened the door, and slid in. He looked up in the rearview mirror, smiling when he saw Olivia staring silently at their son. He pulled the car out of park and into drive, and left the hospital.

The drive back to the apartment was quiet. Elliot, who continued to steal small glances of Olivia through the rearview mirror, tried his hardest to make the ride as smooth as possible. Ten minutes later Elliot pulled up to their apartment complex's garage. He quickly parked his car, turned it off, and got out of the car. He first went to Olivia's side, opened the door, and helped her out. When she was standing next to him, he walked over to the opposite side of the car, opened the door, and unbuckled his son's car seat, before pulling it out of the car.

With one hand gripping the handle of Eli's car seat and the other on Olivia's back, he walked towards the elevator. He let Olivia get into the elevator first, before following her inside and pressing the button to their floor. Once the elevator reached their floor, Elliot held his hand over the door, keeping it open allowing Olivia to slowly walk into the hallway, before he followed her out. "How are you feeling?" Elliot asked, stopping in front of their apartment door.

Olivia shrugged. "I'm tired," she said, watching as Elliot unlocked the front door, opened it, and walked inside.

"Good thing I got you some help," he said, moving aside to let Olivia inside.

Olivia walked inside and smiled when she saw Bernie sitting near the couch. "Olivia!"

Bernie walked over to Olivia and gave the woman a gentle hug, waiting until her son closed the front door before she gave him a hug as well. "I hope you don't mind," Bernie said, watching as Elliot placed the car seat carrying the waking baby. "Elliot thought you could use some help for today."

Olivia nodded. "Thank you," she said, taking a seat on the couch. She tried to sit up when she heard Eli begin to cry, however Bernie told her stay seated, telling her she'd bring the baby.

Bernie walked over to the car seat, unbuckled the baby, and slowly lifted him into her arms. "Hello," she said softly, smiling down at the baby. "It's me, grandma." She watched as Eli scrunched up his nose, and let out another whimper. "I know, I know. You're hungry," she said, walking towards the couch where Olivia sat. "Here's Mommy."

Bernie handed Olivia the baby and took a seat on the opposite end of the couch. Olivia thanked Bernie, before placing the baby under her shirt, getting ready to breastfeed him. "Did he already have his first bath?"

"Yeah, and he absolutely hated it," Elliot said, walking out of his room and into the living room. He sat on the couch in between his mother and Olivia, who was now busy making sure Eli was latching on the way he should be. "Little booger kept curling his arms so we couldn't take off his clothes."

Bernie let out a laugh before looking over at Olivia, who was still looking at her son in wonder. Elliot and his mother continued to talk while Olivia continued to feed the baby. When Eli was finished, Olivia placed him against her chest and began to burp him. "I can do that," Elliot said, opening his arms.

Olivia nodded, handed Elliot the baby, and fixed her shirt. Elliot began to burp the baby against his chest. "Why don't you get some sleep? I can handle it for now."

Olivia raised an eyebrow. She couldn't deny she was exhausted, however she didn't want to leave the baby just yet. "Are you sure?" she asked, barely able to keep her eyes open.

Elliot nodded. "Besides, Ma can help out if I need it," he said with a smile, continuing to gently pat his son's back.

Olivia nodded, before standing from the couch and walking into her bedroom, closing the door behind her.

Elliot, who had finally got a burp out of his son, laid Eli down in his arms, before he began to gently sway back and forth. He knew Eli fell asleep right after a good meal, and with his son asleep he would be able to talk to his mom about something that had been on his mind.

"So, Eli huh?" Bernie asked, watching as the baby began to let his eyelids droop.

Elliot nodded and looked up at his mother. "We wanted to name him after Liam, but we knew it would be hard for you to hear. Especially so soon after Liam's death," he explained, continuing to sway slightly. "You know Liam used to call me Eli, so we thought it would be an appropriate nickname."

Bernie nodded. She understood why they had named the baby Liam, but she also knew why they would continue to call him Eli. It was all for her. "Thank you," she whispered. She placed a hand on her son's knee and watched as he continued to rock her grandson to sleep, grateful that she was able to experience this precious moment.

After spending few hours with Elliot, Olivia, and Eli, Bernie was picked up by Joey, who took her home. Elliot, who did as much as he could for Eli, letting Olivia rest and sleep, sat on the couch, watching his son sleep. Olivia sat on the couch next to him, her head gently resting on his shoulder. All day she had wanted to do nothing but sleep, and she was certainly grateful that Elliot was allowing her to do so.

"How are you feeling?" Elliot asked, placing his foot on the coffee table in front of him.

Olivia shifted. "Much better," she said, sitting straight up. Once Bernie had left Olivia had gone to take a shower, trying to wake herself up some.

"You still hungry?" Elliot asked.

Olivia shook her head. "No. Dinner was great though. Thanks." After she had showered she walked out of the bathroom only to be surprised by a nice home cooked meal. "Speaking of dinner," she began, before she pointed to the breast pump Bernie had bought for her. "This'll make things easier for those three am feedings you get to do," she said with a wink.

Elliot let out a small chuckle before handing her the small contraption his mother had given Olivia. "Yeah yeah," he said, staring at the small machine. "It looks so weird."

Olivia looked up at him and shook her head. "I'll be in my room," she said, still a little hesitant to do something so private in front of him. With that she stood from the couch, walked into her room and shut the door.

Soon after Olivia had finished pumping, Eli had woke up, wanting to be fed. Olivia quickly fed, burped, and changed him, before putting him in his crib to sleep for another three she was sure the baby was asleep and doing alright in the crib by himself, she laid down, quickly falling asleep soon after.

As if on a mental timer, Eli began to cry three hours later, causing Olivia to wake up. She sat up and reached over to her nightstand, turning on the small lamp, watching as her door opened revealing Elliot. He walked up to the crib, reached in and grabbed his crying son, before whispering, "Shhh, it's okay little guy. Let's give your mommy some rest."

He walked over to Olivia's bed, sat on the edge and placed his son down on the comforter. "I can do it," Olivia said sleepily, holding her hands out for him.

Elliot shook his head. "It's okay. Just watch him while I get a diaper," he said, walking to the other side of the room. He quickly grabbed a diaper, baby wipes, and baby powder, before walking back over to the bed and taking a seat next to Olivia. "Now let's get you out of that wet diaper," he said quietly, pulling off the tabs of Eli's diaper. He quickly changed his son, rebuttoned his onsie, and picked him up. "I think he's hungry again," he said once Eli started to whimper once more.

Olivia grabbed the baby out of Elliot's hands and adjusted herself so that she could feed him comfortably. "Go back to bed," she began. "You have work in the morning."

Elliot nodded. He moved to get out of the bed but stopped when he felt Olivia's hand on his knee. "You can stay," she said, continuing to feed the baby.

"You sure?" When Olivia nodded, he shrugged and sunk down onto the bed, letting his head rest on one of her pillows. Without a word he fell asleep; he was just as tired as she was.

Olivia quickly finished feeding Eli, burped him, and rocked him until he fell asleep. She quietly got off the bed and put the baby in the crib. She looked down at Eli, smiling as she stared at her son. She couldn't believe someone who made her so tired could be the love of her life.

After a few minutes of staring at the sleeping baby, she walked back to her side of the bed and got in. She turned off the lamp and laid down, before quickly drifting off to sleep.

Olivia woke up the next morning feeling a lot more refreshed than the past 48 hours. She and Elliot had taken turns getting up with the baby throughout the night, and although she was waking up every three hours when Eli cried, she was grateful that Elliot was at least helping as much as he could.

She sat up and stretched, letting out the last of her yawns, before she got out of bed and walked over to the crib. She peeked inside and froze. Her heart dropped when the baby wasn't laying inside. She could have sworn she put him in the crib four hours ago. "Elliot?" she said, turning to face the bed. When she was greeted by an empty bed she raised an eyebrow.

Olivia quickly walked to the end of the room and opened the door, before walking out into the living room. Elliot was laying on the couch sleeping, his arms wrapped around the sleeping baby on his chest.

Olivia quickly walked over to the couch and smiled. Eli looked so much like Elliot while he slept. The way his bottom lip pouted was almost identical to his father's, as was the way he slept with his head facing the left.

She looked up at the clock on the microwave and sighed. 7:52. Elliot's boss had been extremely grateful, giving him the past few days off to be there for Olivia and the baby. Unfortunately, he had to go back to work this morning.

She quickly walked around the couch and grabbed the sleeping baby out of Elliot's arms. As if on que, Elliot opened his eyes, feeling the weight on his chest gone. He quickly sat up, worried. However, when he saw Olivia standing next to him, Eli in her arms, he sighed. "You have to be at work in an hour," she said quietly.

Elliot nodded. "Thanks," he said, standing from the couch. He quickly walked into the bathroom to take a shower.

Olivia watched him close the door to the bathroom, before she sat where he had been previously laying.

Forty minutes later Elliot emerged from his bedroom, dressed in grey slacks and a light blue dress shirts. He grabbed his shoes near his door and quickly pulled them on, before grabbing his keys on the table and putting them into his pocket.

When he was ready to leave, he turned to the couch, where Olivia and a now wide awake Eli sat. Olivia as sitting on the couch, her feet on the coffee table, with Eli laying gently across her upper legs. His head rested in between her knees and his little feet barely touched her stomach. "Where's daddy?" she asked with a smile, looking over at Elliot. "He's going to work so I get you all to myself."

Elliot smiled before walking over to Olivia and Eli. He stopped behind her and bent down so that his face was resting on her shoulder. He watched as Eli followed him with his eyes before he let another smile form on his face. He loved this little boy so much. "We did good," Elliot said, reaching down to grab Eli's foot playfully.

Olivia nodded. "We sure did." She turned to look at Elliot. "Have fun at work."

Elliot shook his head. "Not as much as I would have with the two of you." He quickly kissed her lips before pulling away and looking back down at his son. "You be good!" he said, before straightening up. "I'll see you tonight," he said, walking to the front door. He quickly waved goodbye to Olivia, before leaving the apartment and heading to work.
