I wrote this story while sitting in my tent at camp, unable to go outside because of the pouring rain. I hope you enjoy the story!

I do not own Doctor Who.

Waking up to icy cold water dripping on your face is not a pleasant experience.

Especially when it is impossible for the water dripping from the ceiling to be there.

Rose pulled her now-damp sheets off of her and slid out of bed, gazing up at the leaking ceiling. What she saw was impossible.

No, it wasn't a leaky pipe or water seeping through an upper floor that was causing the dripping water. Coating the top few inches of Rose's room was what looked like clouds.

As Rose was processing this, the slow, almost lazy dripping of the water picked up and it started to pour in her room. Not wanting to get soaked, Rose grabbed her slippers from under her bed and headed out into the corridor in search of the Doctor.

To her dismay, it was storming in the hallway, too. Rose picked up the pace and jogged to the console room. As she entered, she was relieved to see that the floor was dry and there were no clouds in sight. She saw movement out of the corner of her eye and peered through the metal grating on the floor. She recognized the pinstriped figure immediately.

"Doctor it's um….raining. In the TARDIS."

He looked up. "Oh, really? Sorry 'bout that. I was trying to fix the monitor," he pointed to the screen hanging from the console, "and I think I may have pulled the wrong wire out.

"Okay, well when's it gonna stop?" rose asked. "All of my stuff is getting wet." She worried briefly about her phone, which she had neglected to grab off of her bedside table.

"I'll have it fixed in not too long. It's going to take a while for everything to dry, though. Luckily the TARDIS will take care of that, so it should only be a few hours before everything's back to normal. "

He bent back down, examining the underside of the console for a few seconds, then grinned as he located the wire he was looking for and yanked on it. Rose could hear the rain stop a few seconds after. "Thank you," she said. She looked down the hall. "Er….I really don't want to wade back to my room. Can I sit in here? I'll be quiet while you work."

The Doctor grinned. "'Course you can stay! I got the monitor working—you can put a movie on if you want." Rose grinned. "Really? Thanks!" She walked over to the monitor and after a few seconds of pressing buttons, Pride and Prejudice started playing on the screen. She sat down in the chair in front of the monitor and got comfy, ready to enjoy her movie. The Doctor made sure she was settled and then went back to tinkering with the TARDIS.

A while later, Rose woke up, confused as to where she was. She wasn't lying down under her soft blanket. She opened her eyes, looking around the room, remembering the rain incident. Sitting up in the chair she had been laying on, something slid off of her and landed on the floor. She realized it was the Doctor's coat. He must have put it on her to keep her warm while she slept. She smiled, and not seeing the Doctor anywhere, folded the coat over the back of the chair and walked back to her room, happily discovering that her phone was okay.
