Hello everybody! Here is something I thought of a while ago, but never got around to posting. I hope you enjoy it!

Lovebirds' Souls

I love it when you call my name;

When you say "Jewel" it's not the same.

The rich hue of your chocolate eyes

Envelope me with warmth inside,

And when you turn to look at me,

I almost do forget to breathe.

The tuft of feathers on your head

Tickle me when we hug in bed.

And I love your smiles cast at me;

They make me feel like flying free.

Your laughter rings inside my mind;

I cannot help but blush inside.

And when I'm sick, you hug me tight

To make me feel my life is bright.

When I hunger, you bring me food,

Without me even asking you.

I gaze, always, at your dark beak:

Kind words trickling out like a creek.

I'd gladly kiss you all day through,

If that's what you would let me do.

The day you joined me in my life,

All my thoughts have lost their strife.

I smile in joy for what you've done

For me. For my heart you have won.

Do I love you with all my heart?
