Candles

Christopher's POV

I stood in the sitting room. I was nervous. Today was the day where I was going to find out if Em wanted to be mine for the rest of her life. Lulu, Stephen and Nikki had helped me earlier to make sure the sitting room looked really romantic. I just hoped that Em liked it. It was all for her. I loved her. She was beautiful on the outside and the inside. She was everything I had always wanted. She started off as my best friend but I had always loved her. When she had 'died' I didn't know what to do, I thought I'd lost the only girl I had ever loved. So I set out to sort out those Stark jerks who had caused her death.

I had been stupid for so long, not figuring out that Em was still alive. I had been so happy when I had figured it out. But then problems started and I'd almost lost her again because of her stubbornness. I hated the fact that she never listened to me. But that was Em. She'd finally realised that she did need me to help her sometimes.

I heard the front door open so I turned around. Em stood there looking shocked. I smiled. I guessed she was shocked to see the lights off and a million candles scattered around the placed. I had dropped rose petals around the place. She stared at me, unsure what to do.

I kneeled down on one knee and smiled at her. Em stared even more, her mouth almost falling open. I could tell she couldn't speak so I took the opportunity to talk. "Em, we've been together for a few years now, and you know I love you. You're the most perfect girl I've ever met," I told her. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a box. She gasped. I continued before she could interrupt. "Em all I want to say you're the girl I've always loved. Will you marry me?" I asked her. She walked over to me and stood in front of me.

"Yes," she whispered. I broke into a delighted smile and placed the ring on her finger. She didn't know what her answer meant to me. I stood up and kissed her lovingly as I pulled her against me. Now she was always going to be my girl.
