Sarah sat down heavily on the curb as the dog sat and stared at her, with what could only be described as bemusement. Her laughter had faded now. She'd been here an hour. She now knew he had not realized his mistake. The light coloured, golden retriever swam across the floor towards her resting his head on her knee before looking at her with large eyes. Sarah smiled softly at him, giving him a gentle pat.
