Nab:
By week two of the Host Club, Haruhi was entirely accustomed to being randomly nabbed off the street, or right out of her house at the oddest times.
Apparently:
Apparently though she was to accustomed, because when a rival group of the Otori's snatched her from her living room table, all she actually did was ensure that she kept her grip on her physics book, she had a test the next day after all.
Verify:
When Kyoya called Ranka to verify that Haruhi had infact been kidnapped, he was quite unprepared for the dead panic in the normally suave man's voice. When he made the mistake of commenting on it, Ranka loudly informed him that having ones child kidnapped out of one's own home was more than enough reason to lose your cool.
Admire:
The kidnappers couldn't help but admire their captive, they'd done this before and usually the subject in question was in hysterics by now. This girl was simply calmly reading her physics book, they'd been nice and tied her hands so she could still hold the book and read, occasionally repeating some of the information out loud.
Later:
Later on, after Haruhi had been rescued, the kidnappers terrified beyond reason by the Otori family, and Kyoya now in possession of the small companies' assets, they drove the un-traumatized heroine, still reading her book back to her home. Kyoya, feeling a bit bad, and wanting to maintain a good relationship with Ranka, primarily for convenient pictures and blackmail material, used some of his new wealth to outfit the entire apartment complex with state of the art security, and also paid for the ruined front door lock as well as the tatami mat that had gotten soaked with tea when the kidnappers knocked the table over.
