JOHNNEAS & FERB

Chapter 1

It was a boring summer day for Johnny Test, who was staring out his bedroom window, upset that it was raining outside. Dukey, who was also upset about the rain, was laying on Johnny's bed.

Johnny fell backwards onto the floor. "I hate the rain," he groaned.

Hugh came into the room and noticed Johnny laying on the floor. "I don't get you, Johnny. When it's raining, all you wanna do is go outside but when it's sunny, all you wanna do is stay inside. Make up your mind!" Hugh complained before leaving the room.

"He has a point, you know," Dukey commented once Hugh was out of earshot. "You can be very fickle."

"Well, not anymore!" Johnny exclaimed as he stood up. "Life's too short to let some rain ruin our day. Let's go outside."

"Johnny, we can't play in the rain," Dukey protested. "What if we catch a cold?"

"Relax, Dukey. It's just water. What's the worst that could happen?"

Just then, there was a flash of lightning and a rumble of thunder, both of which came from outside. Startled, Johnny and Dukey looked out the window and saw that there was a thunderstorm outside.

"You were saying?" Dukey asked.

"On second thought, let's go bug my sisters," Johnny suggested.

Johnny and Dukey entered Susan and Mary's lab.

"What're you two up to?" Johnny asked curiously.

"We've constructed a portal that lets you travel anywhere in the world," Susan answered, gesturing towards a portal that was attached to the supercomputer.

"Cool! Can we use it?"

"No, we haven't tested it yet," Mary answered.

"Oh, c'mon! We're bored and we need somethin' to do," Johnny argued.

"Sorry, Johnny, but we still need a few more ingredients before we can test the portal,"

"So, stay away from it and don't touch anything else while we're gone," Susan ordered as she and Mary left the lab.

"Dukey, I know what we're gonna do today," Johnny declared.

"Test the portal?" Dukey assumed.

"Oh, yeah," Johnny confirmed as he rushed over to the computer.

"You don't even know how to use that thing," Dukey protested as he followed Johnny.

"I'll wing it,"

Johnny pressed a button on the computer and a long list of places around the world appeared on the screen. As Johnny scrolled through the list, the screen showed an image of each place on the list.

"Hurry up and pick a place," Dukey ordered impatiently after Johnny spent a minute going through the list.

"I can't decide where I wanna go," Johnny complained. "There's too many places to choose from."

Dukey sighed in annoyance as Johnny continued scrolling through the list. Another minute later, he finally found a place that interested him.

"Hey, check this one out," Johnny suggested. An image of Danville appeared on the computer screen.

"Finally," Dukey said in relief.

"It's a place called Danville," Johnny informed. "We've never been there before."

"It's sunny there too," Dukey added.

"Let's go!" Johnny exclaimed. He pressed another button, causing the machine to shake and spark. A few seconds later, a portal appeared. Johnny and Dukey jumped into the portal and then, it disappeared once they were inside.

In Danville, a portal appeared in the front yard of the Flynn-Fletcher house. Johnny and Dukey jumped out of the portal and then, it disappeared.

"Yes! It worked!" Johnny cheered. He and Dukey explored their surroundings.

"Wow. Danville is different from Porkbelly," Dukey commented. Something came to his mind. "Wait. How do we get back to Porkbelly?"

Johnny didn't know how to answer that question. "Uh oh," he said.

"That might be why Susan and Mary didn't want us using the portal," Dukey realized.

"Whatever. I'm sure they'll find a way to get us back," Johnny assured, shrugging his shoulders.

"Well, now that we're here, what do you wanna do first?" Dukey asked.

Johnny didn't know how to answer that question either. "Aw, man. I'm bored again," he complained. "I was hoping we'd find some adventure when we got here."

"Maybe, adventure'll find us this time," Dukey guessed.

"I don't see that happening anytime soon," Johnny replied.

"Hey, kid," a voice greeted as if on cue. Johnny and Dukey turned towards the voice and saw Phineas and Ferb walking towards them. The latter two were in the backyard when they heard the former two talking and they wanted to know who was in the front yard. "Are you new here?"

"Yeah, we're from Porkbelly," Johnny answered.

"Cool. It's nice to meet you," Phineas said.

"Same here. I'm Johnny and this is my dog, Dukey,"

"I'm Phineas and this is my brother, Ferb,"

Ferb waved at Johnny.

"Does he talk?" Johnny asked, regarding Ferb.

"Not very often," Phineas answered. "He's more of a man of action."

"Me too, except for the 'not talking' thing," Johnny commented.

"Do you wanna hang out in the backyard with us?" Phineas offered.

"Sure,"

Johnny and Dukey followed Phineas and Ferb into the backyard. When they entered, Johnny and Dukey noticed Perry laying under the tree.

"You guys have a pet platypus?" Johnny asked in surprise.

"Yeah, that's Perry," Phineas replied. "He doesn't do much."

Johnny, Dukey, Phineas & Ferb walked over to the tree. Dukey laid on the grass next to Perry.

"So, what brings you to Danville?" Phineas asked.

"Me and Dukey were bored at home 'cause it was raining outside so we came here, using a portal my genius sisters invented," Johnny explained.

"You have a sister? So do we,"

"I have two sisters,"

"Wow. Ferb and I only have one,"

"Lucky. So, what do you do for fun around here?"

"We like to build stuff out here,"

"What kinda stuff?"

"Well, we do something different everyday. One time, we built a rollercoaster,"

"For real? Cool!"

"And a beach,"

"Awesome! What else?"

Dukey was listening to the boys' conversation when he noticed Perry sneaking off to another side of the house. Dukey couldn't talk around Phineas or Ferb so he decided to follow Perry.

"Hey, Perry," Dukey greeted when he caught up to Perry, who turned around to face him. "I'm Dukey."

Perry was surprised to see Dukey talk. However, since Perry couldn't talk himself, he just stared at Dukey.

"Can you talk?" Dukey asked. Perry responded by chattering, leaving Dukey disappointed. "I'll take that as a 'no'."

Dukey began walking off, deciding to rejoin Johnny, until he heard the sound of a trapdoor opening. Dukey looked back and noticed Perry putting on a fedora and going through a trapdoor. Curious as to where Perry was going, Dukey followed him. He crawled through the trapdoor, traveled down a chute and landed in Perry's secret lair.

"Whoa. What is this place?" Dukey wondered as he looked around the lair.

Dukey saw Perry walking over to a chair. Perry hopped onto the chair and turned on a supercomputer, revealing Major Monogram on the screen.

"Good morning, Agent P," Monogram greeted. He noticed Dukey. "Uh...Agent P, what is that dog doing in here?"

Perry turned around and was shocked to find Dukey in his lair. Oh, no, Perry thought. How did he get in here?

Back in the backyard, Johnny was still conversing with Phineas and Ferb.

"We made it snow, using a snow-cone machine and we transformed our parents' car into a monster truck," Phineas continued.

"Whoa. You guys are even smarter than my sisters," Johnny complimented.

"Thanks. We were thinking about building a go-kart track today. You can help if you want,"

"Count me in," Johnny agreed. The boys noticed Dukey and Perry were gone. "Hey, where's Dukey?"

"And where's Perry?" Phineas added.

Back in the lair, Monogram was still conversing with Perry.

"Well, since the dog is gonna find everything out anyway, you might as well take him on your mission, Agent P. Who knows? He might come in handy," Monogram said. "Anyway, the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz is causing trouble again. He's been buying up syrup and molasses all over Danville. Find out what he's up to and put a stop to it."

Perry saluted Monogram and turned off the supercomputer.

"So, you're a secret agent? Cool!" Dukey exclaimed.

Perry hopped off the chair, walked over to his hovercar and motioned Dukey to come with him.

"You want me to come with you?" Dukey asked nervously. Perry nodded, meaning 'yes'. "Uh...I'm not sure if I want to. That Doofenshmirtz guy sounds kinda creepy."

Perry pulled a beef steak out of nowhere and showed it to Dukey as if he was bribing him with it.

"Okay, I'm in," Dukey agreed as he took the steak.

Dukey and Perry hopped into the hovercar. After putting their seatbelts on, Dukey began eating the steak while Perry started the hovercar. The duo took off to Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated and on their way there, they flew over the backyard where Johnny, Phineas & Ferb were still wondering where they were.

"Well, wherever Perry is, Dukey might've gone with him. I'm sure they'll come back soon," Phineas said. "I know what we're gonna do today."

A short while later, Candace was in her bedroom, talking to Stacy on her cell phone.

"So, do you wanna go to the mall?" Stacy asked.

"I want to but I can't," Candace replied. "My parents are out running errands and I have to watch my brothers."

"What do you think they're building?"

"I dunno. They build something different everyday,"

"I can see it from my house," Stacy said.

"You can?" Candace asked in surprise. She looked out her window and saw cement go-kart tracks all over the backyard. "I have to go now, Stacy."

After hanging up her phone, Candace rushed downstairs and into the backyard, where Johnny, Phineas & Ferb were working on their go-kart track.

"PHINEAS AND FERB!" Candace shouted in annoyance. "What're you two up to now?"

"Hey, Candace," Phineas greeted. "We're building a go-kart track."

"Who's he?" Candace asked, pointing to Johnny.

"This is Johnny. He's from Porkbelly,"

"What's up?" Johnny greeted.

"You guys are so busted!" Candace threatened before running back inside the house. Phineas and Ferb were oblivious to her threat but Johnny wasn't.

"For what? We're not doin' anything wrong," Johnny argued.

Back in Porkbelly, Susan and Mary reentered their lab and discovered that their portal had been used.

"JOHNNY!" Susan and Mary shouted in annoyance.

"We shouldn't have left him and Dukey in the lab by themselves. Now, we have to locate them and bring them back before Dad finds out they're gone," Susan complained.

"Good thing we planted a tracking chip inside Johnny. Wherever he is, Dukey should be there too," Mary reminded. "I wonder where they went."

Susan and Mary noticed the image of Danville on the computer screen.

"According to the computer, they went to a place called Danville," Susan pointed out.

"Okay. Let's go to Danville and find Johnny and Dukey," Mary suggested.

Susan and Mary picked up two of their inventions. One was a tracking device they would use to track down Johnny and Dukey and the other was a portal gun they would use to transport them home. Once they were ready, they activated the machine. After a few seconds of shaking and sparking, a portal appeared. Susan and Mary jumped into the portal and then, it disappeared once they were inside.

Back in Danville, another portal appeared in the front yard of the Flynn-Fletcher house. Susan and Mary jumped out of the portal and then, it disappeared.

"Well, here we are," Susan announced. "Now to find Johnny and Dukey."

Mary took the tracking device out of her labcoat pocket and looked at it. "According to the tracking device, Johnny is somewhere in this residence," Mary informed, gesturing towards the house.

Susan and Mary saw part of the go-kart track, which was larger than the house and visible from the front yard.

"Whoa. What is that?" Susan wondered, pointing to the go-kart track.

"Whoever lives here must be constructing something in the backyard," Mary assumed.

"This has Johnny written all over it. I bet he found some kids who are geniuses like us and now, they're the ones inventing things for him,"

"Let's check the backyard and see if you're right,"

Susan and Mary began walking towards the backyard. Meanwhile, Candace was riding her bike down the driveway.

"Wait until Mom finds out about this," Candace said to herself.

When Susan and Mary stepped onto the driveway, Candace noticed them and vice versa and the three of them stopped in their tracks.

"Excuse me. Who are you two and what are you doing in my front yard?" Candace asked as she got off her bike and walked over to Susan and Mary.

"Sorry for the intrusion. I'm Mary and this is my sister, Susan," Mary introduced.

"We're from Porkbelly and we traveled here, using a portal we invented," Susan informed.

"You invented a portal? That sounds like something my genius brothers would do," Candace commented.

"You have a brother? So do we," Mary mentioned.

"I have two brothers,"

"We only have one," Susan bragged.

"Lucky," Candace replied. "So, you think your brother might be here?"

"Correct. He used our invention without our permission and we have to get him home before we get in trouble,"

"His name is Johnny and his hair resembles fire," Mary explained. "Have you seen him?"

Candace realized Susan and Mary were looking for the same Johnny who was in the backyard with Phineas and Ferb. "Yeah, he's in the backyard with my brothers. Follow me and I'll show you," Candace instructed. "I'm Candace, by the way."

Susan and Mary followed Candace into the backyard. When they entered, Susan and Mary were relieved to find Johnny and amazed to see Phineas and Ferb working on the go-kart track.

"Hey, flaming-haired kid!" Candace called out to Johnny. "These two are looking for you."

Johnny, Phineas & Ferb noticed Susan, Mary & Candace standing by the backyard gate.

"Who are they?" Phineas asked, pointing to Susan and Mary.

"Susan and Mary," Johnny replied. "They're my sisters."

Johnny, Phineas & Ferb walked over to Susan, Mary & Candace.

"Hey," Phineas greeted. "You must be Susan and Mary. I'm Phineas, this is Ferb and I assume you've already met Candace."

"What're you building?" Mary asked.

"A go-kart track,"

"Candace says you two are inventors," Susan mentioned, referring to Phineas and Ferb as 'you two'.

"She's right. Johnny says the same thing about you two," Phineas replied, referring to Susan and Mary as 'you two'.

"He's right," Mary confirmed.

"Johnny, we told you and Dukey not to use the portal until after we tested it," Susan scolded.

"Who's Dukey?" Candace asked.

"He's our dog," Johnny answered.

"Hey, where is Dukey?" Mary wondered, noticing Dukey was gone.

"He and Perry went somewhere,"

"Who's Perry?" Susan asked.

"He's our platypus," Phineas answered. "Speaking of Dukey and Perry, I wonder what they're doing right now."

At D.E.I., Dukey and Perry were walking over to Doofenshmirtz's lair. When they arrived, Perry kicked the front door open and entered the lair with Dukey in tow. Doofenshmirtz stood in front of them as if he had been waiting on them.

"Ah, Perry the Platypus," Doofenshmirtz said evilly. He noticed Dukey. "Hey, who is that dog? Does he work for Monogram?"

Perry shook his head, meaning 'no'.

"Is he a friend of yours?" Doofenshmirtz asked.

Perry nodded, meaning 'yes'.

"Okay. Let me start over then. Ah, Perry the Platypus and your dog friend, what an unexpected surprise and by 'unexpected', I mean COMPLETELY EXPECTED!" Doofenshmirtz paused for a moment. "Well, not completely expected 'cause I didn't know you were gonna bring a friend," he corrected.

Doofenshmirtz took a remote control out of his labcoat pocket and pressed a button on it, causing a small glob of syrup and molasses to fly towards Dukey and Perry. When it got close to them, the glob transformed into a large cube and trapped Dukey and Perry inside.

"How nice of you two to stick around," Doofenshmirtz joked. Dukey and Perry gave him annoyed stares. "Allow me to explain my evil plan for today. I got the idea from when I was baking a cake the other day."

A few days ago, Doofenshmirtz was in his kitchen, baking a cake. The cake was for a surprise birthday party that he and several other evil scientists were throwing for Rodney.

Doofenshmirtz put the cake in the oven and waited for it to be done. When the cake was done, he took it out of the oven and put maple syrup and molasses all over it to give it more taste.

Suddenly, Doofenshmirtz remembered that he was going to put a time bomb in the cake so it would explode in Rodney's face. He left the kitchen and went to get the time bomb, dropping the syrup bottle in the process.

When Doofenshmirtz returned to the kitchen with the time bomb, he tripped over the syrup bottle and faceplanted into the cake. As a result, his entire face was covered with syrup and molasses.

Doofenshmirtz tried to clean himself up using his hands, only to make them sticky too. This soon led to him getting stuck to various things.

"I can't tell you what all I got stuck to or how long it took for me to get unstuck. If anyone had seen me like that, I would've been humiliated," Doofenshmirtz continued.

He walked over to his newest inator, which was hidden under a tarp. "Behold! The Sticky-inator!" Doofenshmirtz exclaimed. He removed the tarp, revealing a laser that looked like a giant syrup bottle.

"It fires the stickiest liquid known to man, syrup and molasses combined," Doofenshmirtz explained. "My brother, Roger, the mayor of Danville, is giving a speech today at City Hall. I'm gonna fire the Sticky-inator at him and then, he'll be completely sticky and humiliated!"

Doofenshmirtz laughed maniacally at his plan. "So long, Perry the Platypus and your dog friend," he said, walking off with the Sticky-inator and leaving Dukey and Perry trapped.

Back at the Flynn-Fletcher house, Candace was spying on Johnny, Phineas & Ferb through her bedroom window. Susan and Mary were watching her from a corner of the room. At first, they wanted to return to Porkbelly so they wouldn't get in trouble with Hugh but they decided it would be better to stay in Danville until Johnny, Phineas & Ferb were done with the go-kart track and Dukey and Perry came back from wherever they went.

"There's gotta be some way I can finally bust Phineas and Ferb," Candace said.

"Honestly, Candace, they're not really doing anything wrong. They're just building a go-kart track," Mary commented.

"It's not just a go-kart track. They do things like this everyday," Candace argued.

"What kinda things?" Susan asked.

"They built a rollercoaster and a beach, they used a snow-cone machine to make it snow in the backyard, they built a miniature golf course and a time machine..."

Back at D.E.I., Doofenshmirtz was on his balcony. He pushed the Sticky-inator towards the edge and aimed it towards City Hall. Then, he took out a pair of binoculars, looked through them and saw Roger and a bunch of other people at City Hall.

"Alright, Roger is about to give his speech. All I gotta do now is charge up the inator," Doofenshmirtz said to himself. He put his binoculars away and pressed a button on the Sticky-inator, causing it to start charging up.

"...and they carved my face into Mount Rushmore," Candace continued.

"Whoa. That's impressive," Mary complimented.

"Do your parents know about your brothers' projects?" Susan questioned.

"I wish but every time I try to show them to Mom, they disappear somehow," Candace replied.

"That's weird. Have you tried collecting evidence?"

"Yeah, but it's never good enough. She still doesn't believe me,"

"We can help you with that," Susan offered.

"You can?" Candace asked.

"Yeah. Maybe, if we work together, we can find a way to bust your brothers and ours," Mary suggested.

"That might work," Candace agreed. "Is there anything you wanna bust your brother for?"

"No, but we would like revenge for all the times he's gotten us in trouble,"

"Then, it's settled. Let's bust those guys!"
