Chapter 8 And Ash Hits the Ground.

"Ok Oshawott lets start this off with Tackle!" Ash called out.

"Use Tackle as well Deerling!" Lenora called.

Both Pokémon ran towards each other and collided with them trying to make their Tackle outdo the others. It was seen by both their trainers that Deerling was somewhat stronger then Oshawott. Oshawott kept strong and pushed back even as he was slowly sliding back.

"Oshawott use Water Gun on the field and fall back." Ash said. Oshawott used Water Gun on the ground as he jumped back a bit before landing close to Ash and the continuing to Water Gun the field in front of him. Deerling stood by Lenora for a few minutes after he was hit by the blast of water that caused her competition to go back to his trainer. She had went to stand close to her trainer. Lenora raised an eyebrow at the strategy, because that's what she can make of the gleam in Ash's eyes to be, that didn't make much sense to her right now.

"Oshawott Razor Shell!" Ash called out. The water type took his shell and a blade of water was soon coming out of the shell and Oshawott ran to the grass/normal type. Lenora waited until the water type was close enough to call out,

"Double Kick Deerling!" Deerling turned and used her to back hoofs to kick the blade hard enough to cause Oshawott to be thrown off balance then kick him over to the other side of the field. Oshawott gave a grunt of pain before quickly getting up.

"Stop." Ash said before going over and placing a hand on Oshawott's surprised head. "Sorry Oshawott, but this is our loss. We do have a small chance of winning but no without it turning it into a knock out battle. Deerling is stronger then you right now." Oshawott went a bit wide eyed before getting a bit depressed.

Ash laughed and scratched the water types head. "Relax little guy you can try again later after a bit of training. Now go see Cilan please." Ash said giving the water type a little push. Oshawott pouted but went to Cilan anyway.

"How about some of our more experienced Pokémon a turn to battle?" Lenora asked with a grin.

"Alright Muk take the field!" Ash said with a grin. Muk cheerfully slid onto the field.

"Alright then, Purugly lets give this a shot." Lenora said. A big cat like Pokémon came onto the field.

"Alright Muk use Sludge!" Ash said. Muk flung a bit of sludge at the big cat like Pokémon.

"Dodge!" Lenora called out. Purugly dodged the blob heading his way. "Water Pulse!" Purugly let loose a pulsing blast of water.

"Counter with Mud Bomb!" Muk cheerfully lunched a sphere of mud directly in front of the water type attack and soon the field was showered in muddy water. "Flamethrower Muk!"

"Dodge and Fury Swipes!" Purugly jumped out of the way of the fire and ran words Muk. But as he drew out his claws to attack he realized that his body was still moving forwards and tried to stop.

"Pound Muk! " Muk moved quickly at hit Purugly on the chin and sent him sliding back on the cat's back.

"Alright that's enough. Purugly up and go see Hawes and get healed." Lenora said to her Pokémon before looking at Ash."Making the ground wet and making it so my Pokémon have a hard time moving quickly or have a hard time not sliding. Resourceful. "

Ash shrugged. I think best on my feet. Plus the wet area makes it easier for Muk to move around and gives him some speed." Ash said with a bit of pride before she was tackled to the ground and hugged by her Sludge Pokémon. She laughed and hugged Muk back the best she could from the ground.

'This kid is something.' Lenora thought with a pleased grin. One arm on her hip and the other on her stomach.

Next Morning...

"Thanks again for letting us stay the night." Cilan said as the three traveling humans stood infront of the Conneil's with Kirlia standing in the middle of the group.

"Your welcome. Oh and here Ashley. Take this with you back to your home." Lenora said handing the dark haired girl a wrapped up small box."And give that mother of yours our number ok. We'd love to talk with her about how she raised ya."

"Parents to be asking advice from an expert mom?" Ash said jokingly.

"Parents to be? !" Iris asked shocked.

"Yeah didn't you see the room with the crib?" Ashley asked as Lenora let loose a deep laugh and Hawes smiled brightly.

Cilan nodded while having a slightly look of thought on his face. "Oh that's right. I remember you telling all the other gym leaders and Pokémon league member's on the Unova monthly video conference a while ago. You should be about two months along now, right? I almost didn't remember that because you don't look very different. "

"The joys of it still being to early in the pregnancy. Just wished the morning sickness at night would go away. Now off with you you three." Lenora said with a wave of her hand and grin.

All three pleased their hands on Kirlia's head. While Ash gained a confused look and mumbled, "I still don't get that. Why is it call morning sickness if it can happen at any time?"

They soon were gone in a teleport. Leaving Lenora laughing at Ash's confusion.

At Striaton City gym...

Cress and Chili jumped slightly as their brother and his two companions suddenly appeared in front of them. "Kirlia will be back to grab you in a bit guys."Ash said before the group disappeared again. Luckily the their replacement gym leaders were caught up to speed by now and they didn't mind also being waiters. The girls were happy that the replacements we alright to look at and polite. Not that the red and blue haired leaders knew that.

Harbor near Sai's Boat...

The group appeared and Iris fell to her butt. She looked a little ill. "Too much teleporting." Cilan and Ash looked only a little better.

"Howdy there Miss Farmer. I see ya got two of the four people your bringing to the islands with ya. Bro couldn't make it to get your group so I'll be be the one to get ya there. Its gonna be rad." Mia said as she helped the three onto the boat.

Kirlia disappeared and reappeared with Cress and Chili a short time later looking exusted. Pikachu and Oshawott went over and helped the psychic type into the boat to sit down. Mia laugh and help them into the boat too. Soon they were off with the Pokémon and humans were relaxing or playing on deck . Mia was driving the boat while occasionally flirting with Chili and Chess playfully. Hours later they were at the main islands dock. Chili breathed deeply and then sighed,"Ah what a beautiful way to start the first Friday of the month."

Ash and Cilan paused and their eyes widened a bit. Mia gained a Cheshire cat smirk.

"Did you just say its the first Friday of the month?"Ash asked.

The three other people of the group gained confused looks. "Yeah why?" Chili asked. Before he could answer a loud angry shout pierced through the air.

"DUDE! THIS ISN'T RAD. GIMME BACK MY PANTS! "

The group saw a group of ghost type Pokémon run past the dock with a Drifloon wearing a pair of pants as a scarf. A male in a T-shirt Sandler and boxers ran after them. Ash pulled her hat down to cover her eyes in exasperation and Mia just laugh it off. The other's just stared after the scene in confusion and slight disbelief." Come on I'll take you to the Goldeen Inn before I go to my Ranch." Ash said before leading the newcomers away from the amused Mia.

"So what are you going to do after we reach the Inn?" Cilan asked trying to derail his train of thought away from what the group just saw.

"I'm heading up to my ranch seeing my Pokémon and my mom and professor Oak. Who should have news on Pidgeot. Then I am preparing for tomorrow and the next day. I have a ton to do then."

"Really what cha doing?" Chili asked.

"Tomorrow I get new Pokémon. You see I originally caught thirty Tauros as a newbie trainer. Now the herd if up to Forty. A bad sickness overcame my friend Lara's Tauros back in Kanto and alot died because of it. I plan to send twenty to her Ranch and she is sending me a young Ponyta and another Pokémon over. Twelve more are going to have a new home a ranch in Unova thanks to Professor Juniper and I'm getting a batch of Mareep to train and raise...and decide which one gets which nickname."

"Nickname?"

"*Sigh* Yeah the kids here already chose that names. Volt,Soft Thunder, Zip, Zap, Ray, Lovelace, Glow, Rarity, Blysee, Marine and Fluffle Puff. " There were snickers behind her. "I didn't chose the name!" Ash huffed.

After dropping her friends off she went to her ranch but stopped dead in her tracks a the two story ranch house where her little home used to be."What the-"

She got tackled to the ground by a feathery body before she could finish her sentence.
