Not What I Expected part 3~

The classroom was full of pretty average people, save the twin brothers in the back that stood out so suddenly; Edward noticed them as soon as he walked in when the teacher yelled for him, and their eyes seemed fixated on him; and him alone. It honestly creeped him out a little; then again, the students at this school have already proven themselves to be quite strange, so Edward dismissed the feeling and focused on introducing himself.

"Uh hi, I'm Ed. Nice to meet you all…okay then. Can I sit down now?"

Everyone in the class giggled at his last comment as Ed looked at the teacher for approval, and she laughed and told him that was fine and to take a seat anywhere. Frankly, there were only two seats open; the one in the far back corner by the window behind Haruhi or the one smack dab in the middle of the front row. Ed chose the back one without a second thought.

Haruhi turned around and gave him a thumbs up with a smile, and Ed simply smiled back and plopped down in his new seat. The rest of the class was pretty boring; Ed chose not to pay attention anymore since it was all the stuff Mustang had stuffed down his throat before he arrived in this world in the first place.

The twins that were so interested in him earlier seemed even more interested now that they noticed Edward falling asleep on his desk behind them. Haruhi wasn't paying that much attention to Ed's lack of classroom etiquette, although she was fully aware of the plan that her friends were putting underway; Operation: Kidnap Super-Cool Genius Kid.

Of course Haruhi was just going to watch from the sidelines; these weird operations their leader came up with were way too much of a pain anyway, so she and Kyoya usually just sat them out. So when the bell rang signaling the end of the class, she walked over to Ed's desk and nudged him gently on the shoulder to wake him up, figuring that the twins were planning something mischievous and assuming that Ed wasn't really one to be messed with (his jump from the window the day before proved that point actually…but she had no idea that she probably just single-handedly saved Hikaru and Kaoru's lives.)

Ed stirred and looked up, blinked and had that look of "Where am I again?" on his face for a moment, then coughed and sat up. "Is class over already?"

"Well, you even slept through lunch so-"

"SERIOUSLY?" Edward jumped up out of his seat suddenly, causing Haruhi to take a step back. Ed looked around for a moment and noticed the sun setting outside, and then his growling stomach. "Well no wonder I'm so hungry…" he mumbled. Haruhi raised an eyebrow. This guy's one hell of a sleeper.

Now that Ed was awake, Haruhi noted, dragging him to the music room while he was sleeping was out of the question, so Plan B was automatically put into place. Haruhi knew she had single-handedly tampered with the entire operation; but she didn't give a damn. So she told Ed to get himself some dinner and that she would see him tomorrow, and stepped into the hallway by herself to head to the Host Club before she was late. She knew already, however, that Edward would be meeting her and a few other suspicious characters there that evening.

"Alright Kaoru, you take the rear, I got it in the front. Boss, you have the rope?"

"Of course I do you doppelganger! I'm your leader, so what kind of leader would I be if I just sat around and—"

"Okay, whatever, I get it sempai. Anyway, Haruhi woke him up so we'll have to wait until he comes out of the classroom. Then…"
"We jump him." Tamake finished with an evil grin. "He won't even see it coming. That guy's joining the Host Club and there's nothing he can do about it."

The three boys hid around the corner and Kaoru switched off the hallway lights. It was pitch black, and there was no way anyone could see anything. Except the boys of course; Kyoya provided them with night vision goggles. (And where exactly did he get them? Oh never mind.) If Edward was gonna get himself out of this one, it would truly be an unexpected outcome for the boys. But of course, they weren't worried.

"Dammit, I'm starving. I need to get out of here and get some grub before Mustang gets home. No way am I eating dinner with that narcissistic bastard." Ed finished copying the pages for the night's homework and stuffed his pencil and notebook in his annoyingly miniscule school bag-thingy and trudged out of the classroom.

"Huh, the lights are off. Am I really that late? They have clubs after school here, right? Damn, I can't see a thing…"

Ed felt for the wall and decided to follow that until he found the stairs. Or the light switch maybe. Then he figured he'd just find another window, sore knee or otherwise. This school already creeped him out enough…the pitch blackness wasn't helping anything.

There was a noise coming towards him to his left…obviously footsteps, but they were trying to be quiet. Two…no, three guys coming toward him. With all the training he had, and all the shit he'd been through, he knew by now that guys quietly trying to sneak up on you in the dark aren't good things. School or no school, a good ass-kicking must be in order.

The footsteps were coming in three different directions now…apparently the three had surrounded him. Time for some badass ninja shit.

"…NOW!" came the voice from his right.

Now, Tamake had this whole operation completely thought out in his head; Plan A, since the new kid apparently fell asleep in class (the twins told him that over lunch.), once school ended, Hikaru and Kaoru were to carry him to the Club room while he still slept. If for some reason he woke up, then Plan B was to be initiated; jump him in complete darkness in the hallway and tie him up. Of course, the prospect of the victim fighting back didn't even occur to them. And that's what brings us to the situation now.

Tamake, being the one that sounded the command to take Ed in, had already been mauled down by said Edward. Voicing his exact location was a mistake; and now Hikaru and Kaoru's locations had been compromised, and Ed was already onto them. Tamake heard the scuffle while he laid there on the cold tile floor dumbfounded, and then it was silent. Then Tamake heard what sounded like electricity crackling a little ways behind him, and then the lights went on.

Ed stood where Tamake thought he heard the noise with a light switch that wasn't there before (and quite a gaudy looking one at that…), and a stink eye that could literally KILL.

"What the hell do you weirdos think you're doing huh?! If you really wanted to piss me off that badly then all you gotta do is ask! So talk!"

Tamake sat up slowly, as did Hikaru and Kaoru. The looked back and forth at each other, then Tamake stood up.

"Men…" He began proudly. "Now…is when we retreat."

And just like that, the three boys sprinted down the hallway.

"Hey wait a sec! Why you…GET BACK HERE!"

Edward raced after them, and was on their tails in a matter of seconds. Tamake and the twins picked up their pace and ran up the flight of stairs leading to the club room, Edward right at their heels, not even breaking a sweat.

"Dammit get back here you bastards!" Ed yelled after them as they turned a sharp right and almost made him slam into the wall. Ed followed after them as they ran into the music room, Mori and Honey holding the doors open and ushering them in. When all three were inside, Honey and Mori just disappeared, but Ed didn't care. He ran into the room after them, and the doors were shut and locked behind him. Edward looked back to see no one in the room, and then noticed it was the same one he was in just the day before.

"Edward Mustang, is it?"

Ed turned around again to see the black-haired boy standing a few feet in front of him, clip board in hand, writing something down.

This can't be good.
