Dabble of Casey and April
I needed to write something... this is what I got.
Casey ran his fingers through her dark red hair. A rogue strand fell into April's sleeping face, landing silently on the woman's nose. Callused fingers ran along April's cheek and hooked under the rebellious locks. With the hair tucked behind the woman's ear, Casey tightened his grip around Aprils waist and the women let out a content sigh in her sleep. The red head buried her face into the man's chest. The usually gruff, violent man could only smile at the beautiful woman in his arms.
The room had fallen dark, and the movie ended hours ago. The screen had turned black, with a flip of Casey's wrist. The noise of New York City echoed outside, but the couple sat undisturbed. A small smile played across Casey's face. The man let out a content hum and shifted into a comfortable position on the couch. April only sighed again, wrapping one of her own arms around Casey's stomach. The man followed with his own sigh and let his eyes slide closed. The couple fell into a comfortable sleep safe in each other's arms.
On the fire escape a shadowed figure stood with a small device in his hands. There was a small flash, followed by an almost unheard giggle. The couples window gowned and opened as a three fingered hand reached into the room, placing a something on the closest table. Another squeak of the window later and the figure was gone leaving behind the small gift, for the couple to find in the morning.
For years to come, a framed picture could be found on their coffee table of Casey and April a sleep on the couch, safe in each other's arms.
