"Are you ready?" Kurt Hummel asked his boyfriend, Blaine Anderson. They were standing behind the stage at the Six Flags at which Blaine was working for the summer.

"Of course," Blaine said, smiling. "You know me. I thrive on the thrill of a performance."

Kurt chuckled.

"One minute, Blaine," said a woman who Kurt took to be the stage manager.

"Thanks, Ginny," Blaine said, waving at her.

"I'll be in the second row," Kurt said. "I love you." Kurt kissed Blaine swiftly and walked to the other side of the stage. Peering around the side, Blaine saw him take his seat in between Rachel and Mercedes.

"Ten seconds," Ginny announced.

Blaine took a deep breath, bounced a little on the balls of his feet, and then walked onto the stage. He stepped up to the microphone and saw Kurt smile and wave at him encouragingly. Smiling slightly, Blaine waited for the music to start.

Two seconds later, the opening bars of Teenage Dream started to play. Out of the corner of his eye, Blaine saw Kurt stifle a giggle and a grin behind his hand.

The ends of his mouth twitching, Blaine began to sing.

Getting into the song – though it was more difficult without his Warblers backing him up – Blaine walked over to the side of the stage, offering his hand to the outstretched ones of the audience.

As he was singing about getting the audience's hearts racing in his skin tight jeans, Blaine felt a hand grab his own. Still singing, Blaine quickly pulled his hand away, but immediately felt it gripped again. A second later, his hand was tugged by the girl who had it clutched and he was tumbling off the stage.

Though he immediately popped up, the music had stopped and Blaine saw Ginny ushering the audience out of the stadium. A medic appeared at his side. "Are you alright, Mr. Anderson?"

"I'm fine," Blaine said, though he twisted his neck, trying to crack it. "Just scratched my hand."

The medic nodded and walked away.

"Blaine!" a panicked voice said behind him.

Blaine turned around and saw Kurt running towards him.

"Blaine!" Kurt said breathlessly, throwing his arms around the shorter boy's neck.

An "oof" escaped Blaine's lips as Kurt's body collided with his own. Blaine wrapped his arms around Kurt's waist and returned his embrace.

After a few seconds, Kurt loosened his grip on Blaine's neck, but pulled away only enough to look at him.

"Are you okay?" Kurt asked.

"I'm fine, Kurt. It wasn't that far of a fall. I landed on my hand," Blaine said.

"I saw her grab your hand again after you pulled it away. And I saw her tug you towards her. I was so scared when you fell," Kurt said all in one breath.

"I'm alright," Blaine said softly, brushing his lips lightly against Kurt's.

Kurt blinked at him and hugged him again. "I love you," Kurt whispered into Blaine's ear.

Blaine smiled and said, "I love you, too. You want to go get ice cream?"

Kurt dropped his arms from Blaine's neck and nodded. "Mercedes and Rachel probably want some, too."

"Come on," Blaine said, entwining their fingers together.

They walked over to where Rachel and Mercedes were standing, waiting for them. The four of them strolled away from the stage towards the ice cream store; Kurt, Blaine, and Mercedes rolled their eyes at Rachel who had started on a tirade about how rude it is for fans to try to kill performers and that they shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a stage.
