Love from Hell: Here you go :)

She isn't quite sure when or how she fell for him. Before, he was a mundie. She had toyed with him, but not quite as harshly as she did the others. There was something about him, a vulnerability, that made her heart shiver. An naïveté that she would not destroy.

And then everything changed.

It isn't so much that he's hot. Well, maybe that's a part of it. Ok, maybe a big part. It was why she took interest in the first place. But he treated her with a gentleness that she thought existed only in the world of Jace-and-Clary. She could feel the ache of loving Jace subside.

She wasn't quite sure if she wanted the pain to go away.

She had loved him for so long, that it was like a part of her. He'd always be a part of her. Although she'd never stop loving him, it was time she made room for someone else.

In the typical Isabelle Lightwood fashion, she told everyone that their relationship didn't matter, that it was casual. Just for fun.

As if she ever did anything "just for fun."

She never let on how much it hurt when she found out that he was dating Maia too.

Now, she understands. That same naïveté she had seen when he was a mundane still remained. He didn't understand anything about girls, didn't realize that what he was doing was wrong.

Well, truthfully, she shouldn't have told Clary that it was all for fun.

But as she sees her friends' lives in danger once again, she realizes how much he means to her. Somehow, he had stolen her heart. He did matter, he did mean something. She might not have the strength to tell him yet, but someday, she will.

She knows that Simon isn't Jace, but it's alright. Jace will never stop loving Clary, and Isabelle will never stop loving Jace, but that didn't matter. Simon filled that empty void inside her. Simon made her feel good. Simon made her good. And that was all that she needed.
