Sakura walked in silence with her brooding team mate. He made no motion of talking so she figured that he was not going to poke at the tension that was almost to a boiling point between them.
They walked for a good three minutes and just when the tension in her body faded he brunched the subject.
"You couldn't have refused his proposal? Are you that desperate to be married?" He spat the words out with bitter resentment. She didn't have to see his face to know that his eyes were filled with scorn. She could hear it in his voice.
Instead of raising to the bait Sakura ignored him. If there was one thing Sakura hated it was being bullied. If there was any other thing that she hated even more than that it was being wrongfully accused by someone who did not have the full details of the current situation point fingers at her.
It didn't matter what he thought. His words hurt yes. But she wouldn't let him see that because Sasuke was the type of person that preyed on someone else's weakness.
"Sakura." He growled her name and she felt him turn to stare at her. But she just kept walking.
"Have you slept with him?" The words were a whisper but she heard them clearly and saw red. The nerve of this man! Did he have no boundaries?
"That is none of your business Uchiha! If you keep going down that road I'm going to grind you to dust!" The sudden outburst had her grinding her teeth. Heart Pounding and chest raising and falling in rapid motion. She knew what him and Naruto had seen this morning would lend evidence to his case of her having slept with his brother so she didn't bother confirming or denying his query.
"And just so you know. Uchiha. We were both forced into this! It's village tradition. And I would prefer if you kept your nose out of my business, so I suggest you get off the topic of me and your brothers' sex life."
With those words said she channeled chakra to her feet then rocket off to a nearby roof top.
She could find her own way to the Uchiha compound without his help. Besides she needed some time to think.

"Are you alright?" The man that was currently the root of all her problems asked as he stepped through the half opened door. He had been away for a week on a mission. She had been left to deal with the preparation of their wedding on her own. Not that she had anything to do . Between Ino and Mikoto most of the planning had gone down without a hitch.
Something she was sure she could not pull off without having disaster struck at least a minimum of five times.
Tsunade had taken one look at her by mid week and took pity on her by allowing her to work a minimum of four hours a day. She had worked through on multiple days but that had been her little secret.
Now dressed in head to toe black with only the blue of the leaf headband adding any colour to his attire Itachi stood. Sakura immediately scanned him for any injuries. He had a little nick on the curve of his left cheek bone and some scratches on his hands.
She knew that the person who had gotten that close to him was now dead. Because any body that decided to tangle with him on such close of a level had a death wish.
"Sakura." He said in a soft tone pulling her attention back to his earlier question.
"You mean aside from having to marry you?" Her lips curled in a wickedly sarcastic way.
"I'm wonderful." She answered as she stepped back to allow him in.
He watched her with wary eyes. Almost as if he was waiting for her to say something else sarcastic. But she had had her fun. The week he had been gone had given her some time to think and during that time she had come to the decision that she couldn't be mad at him for the rest of their lives together.
"Are you hungry?" She asked as she turned on bare feet and made her way to the kitchen. The sun had set after a beautiful day and she knew he had just gotten in and from the looks of things he came straight to her instead of going home to shower and get something to eat.
When no answer came she turned back to see him standing in the doorway of the kitchen just watching her.
"What?"
"You're calmer. And you're feeding me. Should I take this as your acceptance to our life together?" He asked in that calm even tone that she hated. It never gave anything of what he was feeling away.
"You can take it anyway you like." She said then turn back to make him something to eat.
"Sassy." He pushed off the door jab in one fluid movement, moving to take a seat at the island.
Opening the cupboard she took out a loaf of sliced bread placed in on the workstation then gracefully moved to the refrigerator.
He loved watching her move. She was one of the most graceful konochi the Hidden Leaf had. And he wasn't just saying that because she was his. He was one of those persons whose judgements were never crowded by feelings. And given that he was not the only person in the Leaf that thought so, he thought his assessment of her was fairly accurate.
As he watched her gather the ingredients for what looked like a turkey sandwich a strange feeling settled over him. Frowning he pushed the feeling to the forefront of his mind examining it the way a scientist might examine a newly discovered species.
To put the expression quite bluntly, he had missed her. Upon leaving the leaf he had pushed aside all of his emotions. Shoving the many different things he felt for her into the vault that he labeled Sakura. Because he couldn't be distracted by her on this previous or any other mission. However, upon his re-entry into the village and despite telling himself that he would go straight home change and grab something to eat; the feelings that he had shoved aside had come crashing to the front of his mind like a gale force wind. And he had had to see her.
She placed the sandwich in front of him along with a cold glass of milk. Then moved around the island moving for the door.
Itachi reached out and caught her wrist. She paused mid stride to look over her shoulder with a questioning look. He tugged on her hand until she came closer.
Spinning around on the stool Itachi pulled her between his tights. Letting go of her wrist to settle both his hands on her hips. Even though he was sitting her head bearly came up to his chin so she had to tilt her head slightly upwards so that she could see his face.
"You never did tell me if you were alright. " He said softly almost as if he did not want to disturb the silence that the evening had brought.
Sakura tilted her head to the side, her brows knitting together in a soft frown as she regarded him with a wary look in her eyes.
"I'm fine...But I'm curious what would you had done had I said that I wasn't 'alright'" Her tongue darted out to wet her lips; flashing a darker shade of pink briefly before it quickly sunk back into its rightful place.
Itachi lifted a hand off of her hip then slowly brought it to her face, giving her enough time to pull away. He brushed a lock of pink hair away from her cheeks then slowly begun running his thumb along her plump bottom lip.
"Find out what was bothering you and then fix it." He answered softly. Sakura tiled her head to the right. Staring at him through slightly narrowed lids. She knew he was not joking. He never joked about stuff like this.
His finger kept on stroking her bottom lip as they continued staring at each other. He was very beautiful. That beauty however did nothing to hide the fact that he was a deadly opponent for it was ever present in the way he moved. The calm that settled around him. The way he talked. He was not arrogant, that much she could admit at least silently as she continued staring at him as he carried on stroking her.
Instead he had this air about him. The aurora was one of a seasoned fighter that knew he could take on any challenge. She knew however that even though he seemed to be confident in himself, he would never make the mistake of thinking that he was invincible. That was probably why he was such a feared adversary. Sakura reached up and grabbed the hand stroking her lip and sent a healing wave of chakra to his hand then she reached out and laid a hand against his cheek.
"Really now? You would fix it?" She asked in that sucrose voice that spelled trouble.
"And what if my troubles were solely connected to you? Would you disappear? Spare all this wedding fan - fair?
"You know I'm never going to let you go." Those words would have been wildly romantic had this been another situation. But those words were spoken in that mono tone that she damned hated.
"Just eat your sandwich then let yourself out." She pulled away from him feeling the warm heat they had built up together quickly fleeing as the space between them stretch out its icy fingers attempting to envelop her.
"Sakura."
She paused mid stride but didn't turn didn't want to see that patient look he always had when she was near him.
"Our house has been completed you should start packing your stuff. I'll help you start moving them out tomorrow."
Instead of replying or giving any indication that she had heard him Sakura walked out of the kitchen. She knew it was coming. She'd just completely forgotten about the house he had shown her what felt like years ago. Back then she had been jealous of the woman he would call wife. It was sort of ironic that she had been jealous of herself.
What had he said back then? That he needed her to help him with the decor? Had he been dropping hints? Sighing Sakura padded in to her bedroom and climbed into bed.
Tomorrow was another day. Today had already faded and with it, a part of her life that she was never going back to. As she closed her eyes she wondered if she really did want that part of her life that had faded...?
A calloused hand was trailing down the length of her arm. Sakura smelled him before she saw him. That clean fresh scent of rain and old spice mixed together. She didn't bother pushing him away. Instead she rolled over and got closer to him so she could inhale his scent.
"Are you alright?" He asked softly as he continued stroking her skin.
She thought about her answer. Today was a new day. She was feeling for the first time in a long time...strange. She was feeling...complete.
"Yes," She sigh. "I'm fine." If only she could stay like this for the rest of her life. No worries. No Sasuke. No awkward tension between her and Itachi.
"Here," He shifted away from her reaching to the night stand.
"I brought you breakfast." He picked up the red tray then turned back to her. Sakura sat up, reluctant to leave the warmth the blanket provided, then pushed back until the headboard touched her back.
She noticed that he'd change from last night instead of the head to toe black ninja gear he was now dressed in slacks and a grey shirt. His hair pulled back in a low ponytail. He looked... for lack if a better word, peaceful.
He brought the tray over and placed it across her blanket clad knees. She kept on staring at his freshly shaven face.
You're beautiful. Sakura thought as she kept staring at him.
Itachi lifted his head and stared at her as he sat back down on the edge of the bed.
"Thank you."
Sakura ' s eyes widen. Had she said that out loud? Sweet Kami. She had. Colour bloomed high on her cheeks and she immediately dropped her gaze to the tray on her lap. What was she thinking? No, the question was; had she been thinking? If she was being honest with herself then she would admit, that she was. She had been thinking. The only problem was she'd been thinking about him. Sakura frowned, she wouldn't exactly call thinking about him a problem. More like a pleasure, after all he really was handsome. Insanely so.
"It's going to get cold." He said, startling her out of her Itachi induced trance.
"Right." She muttered finally paying attention to what was on the tray. He had made scrambled eggs that looked extra yellow with slices of bacon and a glass of orange juice along with a cup of black coffee. Wondering if the eggs would be under cooked or the bacon soggy with oil Sakura picked up the fork, stabbed some eggs along with a strip of bacon and tentatively brought it to her lips.
"It's not going to harm you. I'm a fairly basic chef." Itachi said with a chuckle. She glanced up as she chewed and saw him watching her with an amused expression on his face.
It turned out the the eggs were perfectly cooked, she could also taste cheddar cheese and a hint of mustard which was what had probably given them that yellow look and the bacon was perfectly crisp. Just the way she liked it.
She forked another heep into her mouth and cheerfully munched on, completely oblivious to the look Itachi was giving her.
It only occurred to Sakura that she hadn't offered Itachi any of her breakfast until she was chasing the last bit of scrambled eggs on the plate.
She felt the slow rise of colour in her cheeks as she looked up at him. Kami he probably thought her a pig. What with the way she had attacked the food? Hell, she would have thought of herself as a pig if she was being honest. Where was her manners? Her mother would be ashamed of her.
"Thank you for the breakfast." She said softly. But he just stared. Sakura glanced down at the now empty plate then back up at him.
He leaned forward and captured her lips. Sakura held still not wanting to spill the coffee or juice on her tray. He deepened the kiss and she gasped, her lips parting slowly as she allowed him access to the warm recess of her mouth.
His hands cradled her neck on both sides then slowly slid into her hair massaging gently as his lips worked magic. She wanted to feel him closer and just as she reached out to draw him closer he was gone.
"You're welcome." He said with a devilish grin.
"Don't you have a report to write?" Sakura snapped at him, eyes narrowing in anger. He knew exactly how she reacted to him and he'd used that reaction against her.
"Did it while you slept." He pointed to the right side of her bed. Sakura ' s eyes widen in shock when she saw the outline of his head on her pillow.
"You slept here?" She said in a choked voice, her mind immediately trying to recall what she had dreamed but she kept drawing a blank.
"You know you're a very rude man." She lifted the tray off her lap then swung her legs down the side of the bed with careful movements. He reached out and took the tray from her.
"I never gave you permission to stay in my house much less sleep in my bed." She gritted her teeth, clenching her hands to keep from punching him in the face.
"We're getting married in less than two weeks. I think I have earned the right to sleep beside you. But to answer your question you were sleep walking last night." Itachi frowned. That was something she had never done in all her twenty years. He wonder what was responsible for this new development. Usually she was a peaceful sleeper. He would know he'd spent most of his nights with her while she'd slept.
"I had to bring you back to bed three times last night. So instead of leaving I stayed to make sure you didn't walk out of your apartment." He finished softly.
She blanched, immediately feeling remorse at her behaviour towards him. Had he even slept last night? She knew the sleep walking was getting worst. It had started a week ago the same day she'd confronted Sasuke about staying out of her life.
She turned and collapsed beside Itachi on the edge of the bed. The stress was getting to her. How was she going to cope with it? A hand snaked around her waist and drew her closer to Itachi's warmth.
"I'm sorry." She whispered softly.
"You can make it up to me by taking a bath and getting ready so we can start packing and moving stuff."
Right. She had almost forgotten about that. But then, who could blame her? When the person making her forget things was a gorgeous hunk? No body that was who.
Half an hour later feeling refreshed. Sakura stepped out of the bathroom dressed in shorts and a tank top. Itachi had left the bedroom so she went in search of him.
"Itachi San?" She frowned he wasn't in the living room but the door was open Sakura begin walking over but before she reached the door he came back inside with some empty cardboard boxes in his hands.
As he passed her he paused then dipped his head and captured her lips.
"Kun love not San try and remember." He said as he lifted his head and grinned wickedly down at her then brushed pass. Leaving a frowning Sakura staring after him.
Shaking her head, a soft sigh she turned and trailed after him. He was in the kitchen, cupboard doors open along with half packed boxes with pots, plates; utensils and cups all packed in separate boxes.
"You can take the bedroom." He glanced up as she came through the door.
It did not surprise her that he had picked up on her little OCD problem of packing everything neatly and orderly, she was beginning to understand that he never missed anything especially when it came to her welfare.
However, that did not mean that she liked having him take over her life. She was a grown woman for Kami's sake. Old enough to make her own decisions.
"I have a shift at the hospital today. The bedroom is going to have to wait." She relayed as she leaned against the door jab, folding her arms beneath her beasts as she regarded him.
"Tsunade told me that she had approved you a four hour shift a day every other day. But she knows you have been working longer than that." He reached for a blue teacup on the top shelf of the cupboard then turned around to look at her as he spoke.
They regarded each other like opponents, looking for a weakness to pounce on in hopes of defeating the other. And therein, Sakura thought, lies the issue. They both had dominant personalities and his constant bid to take over her life was causing her to try to constantly regain the reins of her life.
"The only way this is going to work between us is if we can come to the understanding that I also have a say in my life. You can't just march in and dictate to me. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if I dictated to you."
He kept on staring at her as she finished. She had a point.
"I understand. But when it comes to matters of your welfare, you also have to understand that I will be ruthless to ensure that you are safe. Even if that means stepping on your feelings." He said it in that quiet monotone that got her riled but he was compromising so she wasn't going to look a gift horse in its mouth.
"Fine. I can live with that." She nodded then turned around and made her way to the bathroom. Her shift started at eleven so that gave her enough time to pack up the things that she didn't want Itachi to handle.
He had already brought in boxes for her to pack her stuff. She emptied her drawers first packing away her undergarments swiftly and neatly. Then she moved onto her clothing. She didn't have a lot to begin with so that didn't take her long. Leaving the sheets and blankets she moved onto the pictures on her nightstand and vanity top. They were pictures of her, Naruto and Sasuke. The most recent one was of her and Sasuke, she was sitting on a stool at Itchrakus' and Sasuke was standing beside her leaning backwards on the counter his body almost crowding hers in a protective manner. Sakura frowned as she paid attention for the first time to the picture. She was smiling into the camera, Sasuke however didn't seem to be aware of the camera as she was. Instead he had a gentle expression on his face as he stared at her.
Sakura picked up another photograph. This one was of their was grinning goofy at the camera with his hand thrown carelessly around her shoulders, Sasuke was crowding her again his hand on her shoulder as he seemed to lean into her his attention again on her instead of the camera. They were eighteen, she remembered the moment clearly when they had taken this photograph because this was the mission that Naruto had first asked for advice on how to approach Hinata about his feelings for her.
Sasuke had told him to stop procrastinating and just make his move before it was too late. When they had gotten back from the mission Naruto had abandoned them at the gates and went in search of Hinata. He had made Sakura and Sasuke promise to meet him for dinner so that he could tell them how it had gone.
Sakura ' s gaze bounced from one photograph to the other and surely enough Sasuke was staring at her instead of the camera in almost all of them.
How had she missed it then?
"Only you could miss someone like Sasuke falling for you Sakura." Itachi voice startled her and she glanced up at him, standing in the door way.
"I didn't know." She uttered in a soft broken whisper.
"How could I not know? And all this time I was being rude to him, thinking that he only wanted me because I'm with you. I thought this was some sort of power game between the two of you." She shivered.
Itachi's arms enveloped her. Pulling her closer so that she could feel the warmth of his body. Sakura buried her face between the junction where his shoulder met his neck just as a sob escaped her lips.
"I feel so horrible." She wailed.
"There is nothing that could be done." Itachi murmured softly. His scent enveloped her, soothing the awful feeling that settled in her stomach.
Try as he might Itachi could not set aside a sliver of sympathy for his brother. Sasuke would get over it. Sakura was a remarkable woman he couldn't fault his brother for falling for he could blame him for however was not owning up to his feelings for her earlier.
Itachi knew Sakura would have let him down easily years earlier.
"I have no regrets over the village tradition and even if it weren't for that tradition I would have still perused you Sakura." His tone left no room for doubts. He meant what he was saying.
Sakura pulled back from her little nook and stared at him. His face was a granite mask.
"You are mine." He grated out. Gone was that dreadful monotone that she hated and his features shifted from stone to raging passion. His voice betrayed the conviction with which he staked his claim as well as his eyes..
Sakura frowned at him then sighing she laid her head back in her arms tightened almost crushing her to him.
"Itachi I'm not a commodity you own."
"No. But you are my fiancee and soon to be my wife and I do not share." One of his hand raised to cradle her head gently, for all his arrogance and the violence in his voice he handled her tenderly.
"I need to apologize to Sasuke." She said after a while. Pulling away from Itachi she swiped under her eyes one last time, inhaling hard to get her nose to stop tingling. She knew Sasuke was on a hiatus. He wasn't due to leave the village for the next three weeks. So she could find him. They needed to have a little talk. All harsh feelings aside.
Sakura moved to step around Itachi so that she could get the packing wrapped up. But Itachi stepped in her way. She looked up at him and momentarily froze. Gone was the passionate expression he'd had on his face not too long ago. It was replaced by the granite mask again. His eyes having gone flat almost lifeless. She knew from past experience that this was when he was about to strike out hard and fast.
He reached out his index finger, trailing it gently down the apple of he cheek.
"Mine." He said but there was no heat behind the statement just a simple reminder.

.
.
Sakura found Sasuke sitting on the north wall of the village. It was the most secluded part of the Hidden Leaf, the area still over run by giant ever greens and creeping Ivy. He was on patrol duty. She knew he'd taken this particular section to be away from the rest of the guards.
He was that kind of person. A brooder. And one that did it closed off from everyone else. Something that she personally thought was not particularly healthy. Sakura landed on the wall to the left of him but he didn't acknowledge her. Choosing to ignore her instead.
She took a seat on the wall about two feet away from him and just stared out at the jungle that lay ahead.
"Didn't you ever think to tell me?" She finally asked still looking out at the forest. She felt his eyes on her but she still carried on staring out into the forest.
"I was waiting for the right moment." He didn't pretend not to understand what she was talking about. Sakura liked him for that at least he was straight forward with everything else except owning up to the way he'd felt about her for so long.
"When would that moment have been? I could have started dating any amount of people Sasuke, would you have hated me then too?"
"I thought you felt the same way. You never went on dates except when you went out with myself and Naruto. I thought you were waiting for me to make the first move but then HE just swooped in and stole you from me."
Sakura turned and stared at him then. His shoulders were held back in that infamous Uchiha manner. His eyes were beginning to flicker with his emotions. The difference between Itachi and Sasuke was the control they both held. Itachi was a master of keeping anything he didn't want another person to know from them. Sasuke on the other hand let his emotions get the better of him.
"Itachi didn't 'swoop in and steal me Sasuke'. I told you before it's village tradition. He nor myself didn't have a choice in the matter." Sakura explained trying not to get worked up. It wasn't his fault he didn't know what was going on.
"It's been tradition that the first born of every social strata be paired to that of a person outside of their social strata it is a mixing of different social classes so that every generation would have a chance of a life that was different from the norm." Sakura finished.
Sasuke however looked like he didn't really care about that explanation so she went on to the complicated part.
"Even if that were not the case, had our village had no tradition I still would not have gone out with you Sasuke. I just don't see you that way. The relationship between us has always been one of teammates. Nothing more." She finished and got up to take her leave dusting off the seat of her pants as she rose.
" I refuse to accept that you don't have feelings for me." Sasuke stated with an arrogance that incited her anger at him. Sakura started counting to ten. Got there and counted backwards to one.
"And what pray tell led you to this conclusion?" Sakura asked in a clipped tone. Sasuke walked along the wall towards her. When he got close enough his hands shot out, encircled her waist then drew her closer to him.
Sakura reared back her head lifting her right arm as she went so that she could cold cock him in the eye but he caught her wrist and slammed his mouth against hers.
Nobody had ever forced a kiss on Sakura much less tried to do it. She was a konochi that could pulverize anyone that dared tried it. And even if someone had been crazy enough to try it Sakura would have never guessed that it would have been her own teammate. Muchless the cold unfeeling -or so she'd thought- Sasuke.
His lips on her felt wrong. She was used to the soft coaxing then arrogant deepening of Itachi's lips. His arms thrust gently in her hair as he drew her deeper into the shelter of his bigger body. With Sasuke on the other hand his lips were downright demanding his tongue lashing against her lips demanding entrance. It felt horrid. And not just in the way of someone forcing a kiss on her but also in a way that stirred no desire for him.
Sakura lifted her knee and had the satisfaction of feeling it connect with Sasuke's precious merchandise. When she heard him grunt in pain she shoved him off her then sucker punched him. He went down hard on his ass but she didn't linger to see if he was alright.
That was it she was finished playing miss goody two shoe. As Sakura headed to the Uchiha compound she contemplated hiding what had happened between her and Sasuke from Itachi but decided against it. As much as she wanted to blame Itachi for the way things were the rational part of her brain kept throwing back what Sasuke had said. Kami but he really had over stepped his boundaries. Or maybe she'd unconsciously led him on? She didn't know which was the case but she was done shouldering the blame.
The Uchiha compound was bustling with activities as she entered the gates. School was out so the Uchiha children were out in droves. There was a section dedicated to kuni throwing which the preteens flocked. Then there was the sandbox were two and three year old played. During her constant visits to the compound while growing up she'd notice that the Uchiha ' s though loyal to the Hidden Leaf kept mostly to themselves and they were always thriving to be the best.
As she passed the entrance and headed further into the district mothers of the children she often tended to nodded their heads in acknowledgement some even bowing slightly. Sakura returned most of them. Then hurried along her way.
Itachi had sent word that he had finished moving all the stuffs to the house and that he had handed over the keys to her landlady already. It annoyed her that she hadn't gotten a chance to say goodbye to the place she'd spent almost five years of her life in. Itachi really was trying to micromanage her life.
As the house came into view Sakura stood there at the entrance and took in the view. She inhaled deeply. Her new life was about to begin. It would be a good one she would ensure it was. With her mind resolved she set down the path to her new home.
The front door opened just as she set up the steps to the porch and Itachi stepped through leaning against the door jab. She paused to take him in. His hair was damped tied back at the nape of his neck. He probably just came from the shower. He looked relaxed, like he was winding down for the day.
"How did your talk with my brother go?" She dropped his gaze and continued her assent up to the porch. Of course he knew she'd gone and spoken with his brother and she hated it. She hated being a forgone conclusion...even if she was one.
"Can't we talk about this inside the house?" She asked with a sigh of defeat. He stepped forward and before she could step back he swung her up in his arms bridal style then stepped over the threshold before her startled "oofh" let her mouth.
"We're not married as yet Itachi San. There really is no need for this." Sakura muttered as she settled her arm around his neck. Itachi stepped in the house and closed the door with the heel of his foot.
"Be that as it may this is our home and we are going to live here starting now so I get to fetch you over the threshold. And I'm going to kiss you every time you use 'San' instead of 'kun'." That was all the warning she got before his head descended and his lips captured hers.
The world fell away and she felt the stress of the day slip away along with it. Itachi's lips plundered hers coaxing so softly that she leaned heavily into the kiss. Low in her belly a slow fire begun to burn, a fire that only he could ignite then quench. She moaned softly, threading her fingers gently through his hair so she could pull him closer to her. He'd pulled away from her this morning but that wasn't going to happen now. Itachi ran his tongue along the seam of her lips then ruthlessly thrust it in her mouth when her lips parted. Sakura gasp and latched onto it. But before she could return his actions he pulled away and a little peep escaped her lips in was tempted to call him San again just so he could carry on ravishing her.
"Are you going to tell me how it went with Sasuke?" He asked with a sly smile and she almost strangle him right there.
"What are you trying to do to me?" She demanded as she scrambled down from his arms and stumbled a couple steps back. His lips quirk but he refrained from answering her. He sure knew how to ruin a moment. She'd give him that.
"You know how Sasuke is once he gets a notion in his head it's plain black and white with no shades of grey." Sakura relayed as she turned away from her soon to be husband. Boxes littered the floor all over. There was a black leather coach in the far corner of the living room away from all the clutter beckoning to her so she began moving towards it.
There was no sound of him following her but she knew he was. Reaching the chair she collapsed against it, it felt like heaven. Soft and cloudy. Itachi sat near her and immediately drew her closer. He picked her up and settled her between his legs. Sakura frowned Itachi was being rather touchy today. She reached backwards felt for his forehead then when she found it she placed the back of her hand against the skin. Nope definitely no fever.
"Are you feeling alight Itachi? You're acting strange." She turned around to get a look at him. He was just staring at her as if he had everything that he had ever needed.
"I'm fine. Just can't wait to legally make you mine. My fierce konochi." As he brushed his lips against her head Sakura settled back against him. And found for the first time she was actually looking forward to starting their life together.
